In todays society consumers are relying more and more on reviews to help them decide where to get proper care. I was having a difficult time choosing where to get my first MRI. Eventually I settled on Unity mainly based upon their high Google rating.
From the time I walked in until the time I left was a pleasant experience. The lobby was very clean, inviting, and had plenty of room to spread out. The receptionist and intake employee was very nice and got me in without any delay.
The MRI tech greeted me in the lobby and led me back to the imaging wing of the hospital. He led me to a private room and instructed me to put on two hospital gowns (one facing forward, one facing back) with only undergarments on underneath (you can keep your shoes on too - no steel toe obviously).
Upon entering the MRI room I noticed the cleanliness and the large space age looking Toshiba MRI machine (Vantage Titan 1.5T I think). The tech covered me with a blanket, had a pillow for my head, and a pad to prop my legs for comfort. Once situated he asked me if I would like to listen to Pandora radio, to which of course I said yes!
Sliding into the machine I felt comfortable and with my arms crossed my elbows slightly touched the sides as I entered. I am 5'11" 200 pounds and although it was a tight fit I was not uncomfortable in any way. I had on headphones and also a panic button in case I needed to contact the tech for any issues. The procedure itself lasted approximately 30-40 minutes and throughout it I could hear moderately loud humming and clicking.
My overall experience was a 10/10. I highly recommend the staff and the cleanliness and appearance of the building was great.
