If you are renting, then take a good note of the condition and document everything / incident(s). I had few serious issues with condition and maintenance of the property (concerning health and safety) , however, they expressed their inability to pursue the landlord to spend the money on these important issues. On the contrary, at the end of the lease, when landlord was not happy with the cleanliness of the curtains, I was handed over a small bill for the cleaning of same. I consider it as injustice because if I don't pay that petty amount, they can hold my bond or can lodge a claim. Whereas, in case of landlord they just get away by saying that, all we can do is to ask landlord to do the needful and if he/she is not willing, we can't do anything.
