Advice for parents with children: Tricky to get to...

Advice for parents with children: Tricky to get to once you get off the train at Battersea Park Station. We wanted to see the 'Light Installation Festival' so we went at night, and walked left out the station until we reached a junction, then turned left where the new tower new builds are and walked to the 'Shell Petrol Garage, then along a dark alleyway along the arches. Nothing bad happened, but as I was the only adult with two children, I did not feel comfortable to be honest. And because it took so long, the children got cold and tired. The other preferable route i think would be to go straight over the junction and into the entrance 'Power' it may be a shorter. We also ate in a pizza place along the arches which didn't have any menu for children, so it was expensive. Apart from the long walk, it was ok. The power station is amazing to see and definately worth the trip, but probably better to go in the daytime and dress the children warm around this time as being by the river was very cold.
