You will also find out about the infamous prisoners who were imprisoned in the Tower. The last or maybe last people to be imprisoned in the Tower were the Kray twins, London's infamous gangsters who roamed the streets in the 50s and the 60s.
The Kray twins were called for national service with the Royal Fusillers, they attempted to leave and punched a corporal on the chin and then walked back to London's East End. They were arrested and held in the Tower of London for a couple of days and then transfered to Shepton Mallat milltary prison to await Court martial.
Guy Fawkes, also know as Guido Fawkes, who was a member of a group of provincial English Catholics, who planned the failed Gunpowder plot on the Houses of Parliament was also imprisoned in the Tower.
I can't recommend a visit enough, you will love it.
