DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILD HERE! One of the worst experiences ever. Very unprofessional and not equipped to handle our child with ADHD, and what they diagnosed as Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder. He was diagnosed by the medical director after speaking to my daughter without spending any time with him. She was told he was a candidate for the Intensive Outpatient Progam (IOP). 3 days a week, 3 hours at a time. He was there 3 weeks before we had any kind of family. Never given any information as to what the were doing or who he was seeing for all those hours he was there. Never met any of the "therapists". Given NO information. Finally, met with the psychiatrist, who had spent ZERO time with our child, but went on to recommend some major medication changes...based on what???? We have no idea. Then after 2 minor incidents (one disruptive during some sort of session and one getting paint on the bathroom door and sinks) he was discharged (by phone) from the program. Did not even have the courtesy of a face to face meeting. Ok, so you know he is ADHD and YOUR facility diagnosed him with something else. AND YOU DISCHARGE HIM for the things you are supposed to be helping with. I don't get it. If IOP wasn't working for him, isn't there something else to recommend or try. You just discharge him. I think we asked to many questions and attempt to hold your facility to a higher standard. LITERALLY, THE WORST MEDICAL/MENTAL HEALTH CARE WE HAVE EVER RECEIVED!! Avoid at all costs.
