The staff opening the accounts are, for the most part, quite friendly. I was only momentarily offended when he mentioned to me that I should speak with my husband regarding what to do with the kids' accounts when the turn 18 so he could give me advice. I then tried to deposit a couple torn, but still intact, bills on to the newly opened accounts but I could not because the machine could not read them and they, the only branch in town, no longer do transactions.
Unfortunately, when I went to deposit my daughter's pocket money so she could spend it during our holidays, the machine was "momentarily not accepting change". I asked a woman working there what our options were and I was told I could go to Baarn, which is closed on Saturdays, or Bussum. She also indicated that I could come back on Monday during business hours... when I am also working or maybe come back today and see if it was working, but she "didn't know" when it would be fixed.

Seriously, what is the point of a bank that can't accept money?
