It is worth driving two hours from Connecticut to play The Shattuck. Far from easy a player must know where to land the ball and it helps if a player can control his ball, that is move it left to right and right to left.
Knowing the course is a must as a "good shot" just a little off line will penalize a player. The green fee is very reasonable. Bring plenty of balls. The course can be walked and I did it in the past, however riding is recommended as some of the distances between the greens and the next tee box is is long. If you want a great golf experience, interesting holes, beautiful views, tight greens then try this course.
