OMG. My poor dog. I ve been a long time customer of Petco s grooming department. I cried when I saw my Charlie this time! I had requested that they cut the lower portion of his body and around his feet because the longer hair was picking up ticks - but DID NOT REQUEST they SHAVE HIM TO THE SKIN. My husband and I wondered why the appointment was taking almost 4 hours, and realize now that the groomer and manager were trying to shape the botched job.
My husband said as he was checking out, the manager kept explaining that they have a 100% guarantee and he wondered why she said it more than once - apparently she knew this was a job gone bad.
My husband thought the grooming looked awful, but wanted me to see him. When I saw this, it took my breath away. Charlie is a beautiful Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever mix.... he looks NOTHING LIKE that now! My heart is broken.
DO NOT USE PETCO s grooming department until they hire groomers with the skill and knowledge to care for our babies in the manner we expect.
Oh, the manager resolution was to bring him back in and let them see what they could do .
My answer was not only No, but HE11 NO !!!
