No original paintings but good prints and excellent audio tour. We enjoyed the local history, art and architectural history, biography, discussion of his subjects and techniques. The display of materials used to make his paints, with discussion of sources and methods, was fascinating, too.

After visiting many museums at home and abroad, I can surely conclude that this is not interesting or museum; there is no real art from Vermeer, much information is not really relevant but gathered and the audio tour was to fall asleep.

The staff was also too busy looking up online recipes to ask...

Museum to learn about life and, above all, the work of Vermeer. It is a small center and in which there are no original works of the artist. But there are life-size reproductions with which they explain their technique and the period of their work, which make it just as interesting. Worth.

One of the most interesting tourist places in Delft! The examples describe the symbolism in the works of Vermeer, about what paints and techniques he used. This is not a museum in the classical view, there are no originals in the twilight of booming rooms; This place just helps to learn to understan...

Vermeer is a little-known Dutch painter, which is a pity. No one like him could capture the light in the picture ... He used very expensive pigments at that time, in particular ultramarine, which was imported from Afghanistan.
Before the visit, I recommend a book or a movie with the same title "Gir...

Very good museum, modern and fun. Everything is computerized and allows us to immerse ourselves completely in the creative universe of painter Vermeer.
Although not having any original work, this museum allows to learn a lot about the processes and the way of thinking of the artist.
It is not too ...

I was lucky enough to turn up just when an English language tour was about to set off, and seeing as how it wasn't fully booked (in January, I think), I joined in. It was absolutely superb, with a friendly, patient and knowledgable guide who gave fascinating, recondite information that I don't think...

Tourist trap!!! Not one painting ... information about how he painted.. don't pay 8 euro to look at photos of his paintings. You don't even get the "feel" of Johannes Vermeer ..even the outside of the building ,is not original.

Don't expect paintings as you will only find life-size copies in this museum. Apart from this the museum is very interesting and the audio guide in Italian helps a lot to understand the technique and content of each painting. The interactive parts complete the exhibition allowing you to understand t...

It's basically a great documentation center about the famous painter Vermeer. Even if the pictures are not original, but only reproductions, the explanations about his pictures, painting style, details, meanings and the history of the city of Delft in the time when Vermeer lived there, are very inte...

Fantastic, even more impressed than I was with Vermeer.
Moving life story, only saw talent about 200 years later, I would have liked to know so much more about this artist.
Every day I look at home at the serene tranquility of Vermeer, never bored, no other painter knows that to evoke. His techniq...

Not worth the price, even with a museumkaart. There are only printed replicas of the paintings and the storytelling has almost noting surprising. The museum is small in itself and the narrator in the Italian audoguide is quite bad. Better you visit other museum in Delft.

Fun from the age of 9. The tour was well set up for this age. The children could also dress up a bit as a painter or girl with a pearl. When an afternoon-filling program needs to be made, it would be nice if it could also be painted. But you can of course also do that at home at a party.

Nice and beautiful exhibition about Johannes Vermeer, his works and his life in Delft. High educational content so fun to go with your children or school. It is also very accessible for tourists, who want to see some of Vermeer in addition to Delft. The shop downstairs is therefore a smart move. You...

If you love Vermeer this is a great museum. We could have spent a lot longer then we did. Somebody told us that 45 minutes to an hour was long enough. So we showed up too close to closing. It would have been wonderful to spend two hours there or three.
Also their hours were like business hours not ...
