Rotary Club is a Excellent Organization. From what I have read the only issue is when individuals can no longer afford the yearly membership cost which is over $2000 a year This affects only a small part of the Membership
These people are doing an amazing job and social impact. This is the headquarter of the Rotary international. An organization who has 1.2 million members today. They fighting to end polio in the world. They have also others interesting areas of focus.
They allow a shame of an inpatient mental health facility, Yellowbrick, here where there are people smoking and vaping at the building against their tenant policy!
The cafeteria in the lower floor of Rotary is a hidden gem. Great great staff, really good salad bar, custom made burgers and sandwiches, and a rotating special of the day including some good Chicago food trucks and vendors. All for very decent prices. Soup is just $2-$2.50 for example.
A life time experience of visiting Rotary headquarters. Hand shake with Paul Harris and visit President's office is out if the world experience. One should visit this whenever you get chance.
Avoid Working Here at all costs. Do not be lured by 'We are a friendly non-profit' that cares. Parking is a priority model. Bureaucracy galore. People justifying their career w complexity for complexities sake. This is where corporate two-bits go when they failure elsewhere.
This is a very nice location, there is helpful onsite staff that manages security in the lobby. I myself went to the location to speak to my representative at local TIAA office
