Company called wanting me to verify my personal information over the phone. I told them no. The number that they called from had my area code and when I looked up the so called collection agency, I saw that they were based out of New York. I told the caller that it was a scam and do not call me anymore. The caller became very irate and disrespectful. I told them if I owed a debt, to send me the information via mail. If not I was calling the authorities because they were harassing me. Once I mentioned authorities, they hung up.
