A great camp really good campsites nice pool and we'll organized camp
Attended Lost Pines as a Scout Leader with my troop and the boys loved it. The camp is a good environment for the boys and has loads of good activities. The Instructors are mostly just older teenage boys and not all of them are that interested in what they are doing.
I grew up in the scouts, and spent many a night in a tent here. Awesome place!! Couldn't recommend this enough!
A good camp grounds for any scouting camp.
Is has a pool, lake, climbing tower, archery, rifle and shotgun range and probably more I don't know yet.
Good summer fun for the boys. Staff cares, but its a little chaotic if your new to this type of thing. Some of the bath houses need some updating, very hard to keep them from being full of mud when the doors open out on to dirt. Food was fine, and there was plenty to eat. We were there in 100 de...
Really well run Scout Camp, in a really nice hill county lake setting.
Large property owned by B.S.A. for use by scout groups. They offer summer merit badge camps and troops can reserve sites year round. You can reserve the 55 foot climbing tower if you have B.S.A. certified climbing instructors. You can do repelling and climbing.
Great facility and Winter Camp staff! Or scouts had a great time!
Hot and has a lot of mosquitoes. Great classes though!
I spent a lot of time at LPSR with BSA Troop 256 of south Austin.. Many years spent camping summer and winter camping and great memories.. Learned a lot to deal with life..
Of all the scout camps I camped at this was the worst. It didn't help that there was a nuclear power plant that uses lake bastrop as a cooling reservoir.
Go somewhere else.
The last session of summer camp 2018 was an awesome experience with many fun and exciting things to do. The ATV course was great, the shooting sports range is a great setup, and the repelling tower is spectacular. The new pool area is very great addition also. Look forward to coming back
Camping at LPSR is always an amazing experience, the grounds are well maintained and the sand makes sleeping comfortable. The campsites are also well shaded and so stay cool. Water is close by and the bathroom facilities are nice. My scouts look forward to our time there.
Lost Pines is one of the best Boy and Cub Scouting camps around! Wonderful staff and volunteers!
Merry nice place to go camping I come here frequently
Great place for kids and adults to interact on a Scouting level. Boys and yes girls can enjoy the programs they have to off
Great camp! The staff is organized and the facilities are really nice. They are making a lot of improvements to the camp so it will only get better.
Tons of fun. The kids liked the food, though I would have liked healthier options. They know their market I suppose.
Great facility for scouts with lot of activities like shooting sports, rock climbing, canoeing and kayaking.
Lost Pines Staff cares about the scouts. They understand that scouting is for everyone. The time and patience that was taken with my son is greatly appreciated.
I love this camp i have been going here for years as a boyscout and the food kinda sucky, but it was summer camp. Also just camping here is awesome being with all the pine trees is actually really nice.
Clean pool, at least 4 life guards on duty at all times. $3 for children 12 and under, $5 for 12 and up. A fun place to hang out on a hot summer day!
Great place to have tiger day. Archery crafts fishing and Beebee guns makes for fun with 6 or 7 year olds
I have never liked this place, the water tastes horrible, the food the serve is undercooked half the time and the bathrooms always have bugs crewing around in them. Dont forget that by the time you go from the showers back to your tent you already have dirt and dust all over you.
Its such a great campsite for having fun and enjoying time with friends with working restrooms and great scenery. Would definitely come again.
Beautiful! 45-foot climbing tower. Sites are a bit spread out, but central areas are pretty concentrated. Pines and cedars abound. Bastrop Lake is a great backdrop.
Always have a great time at lost pines. Great local spot for summer and winter camp with the CAC.
Went tgrough BALOO during mega training weekend. Plenty of space for all the training sessions to work without tripoung over each other.
Scout camp with improved camping facilities. The campgrounds are well maintained.
The young men were gentlemen!!!
Mary Katherine Hillman-Fields Chief Master Sergeant Thanks
A nice scout camp with plenty of outdoor activities including canoeing, swimming, archery, climbing and many others. Great friendly staff and many good camping sites.
Great BSA Summer and Winter Camp! Caring and attentive staff, knowledgeable counselors, probably the best food of any BSA Camp. We have been 5 times.
Excellent campground for scouts. One hour outside of Austin and you're sleeping under the pine trees, looking up at the stars. Plane spotting is also prevalent given this is on a major approach path for ABIA.
Great scout reservation with optimal facilities. The water sports and DOKs tower are the main attractions.
Beautiful park, been here twice for scouting events. My favorite part is the swimming pool in the middle of the pines.
Awesome space! Outstanding Staff and facilities. Our Troop 211 SPL is there for BSA Camp Week 7 as a Provisional Troop Scout! Woo Hoo!
Bathhouses need to be improved and expanded. Plans are in place for this. Can be extremely hot so drink lots and lots and lots of water.
I was in Scouts as a kid and had a blast at the Lost Pines Scout Reservation. Now my son is in scouts and the facilities have vastly improved over the years. Im proud to say that my son will have as good of a time here if not better.
great place to go camping. very nice and plenty to do. they also host some great events.
Amazing location with great camp sites and activities. Camp sites are close to parking but far enough away that you don't see them. There are also bathrooms and shower s
Parking lot and certain camp site are far apart.if you have a lot to unload good luck. Person running the show was no help
Great boy scouting area, camping, hiking, water sport.
Great scout outting. Awesome bathrooms and camping sights.
Great open place, kids love camping here. If you stay for the weekend, don't expect hot water for a shower on Saturday night...only seems to be enough for Friday night. Lots of bugs, but I've never seen anything dangerous.
I am currently a Star Scout and the only good thing about this place is the fact that you get a chance to have a shot at getting merit badges. I have had the worst experiences. I can name so many bad things you guys mights not like it.
Amazing campground. Great organization to help kids grow into amazing adults.
I'm a new assistant scoutmaster, and the facilities are great. What a beautiful place!
Great camp. Very well organized with great communication between the Troop Leaders and the Staff. The climbing tower, archery and water front activities are wonderful. Food is fairly good with multiple options for each meal. Papa John's coffee is a life saver. New shower houses are very nice.
Great facilities and staff. The high humidity was the only downside.
My daughter was there for a week and she has the best time ever
Great way for young people to get out and learn new skills.
