This was the first place I ever shopped in downtown Ann Arbor when I abruptly transferred to UM in January 2014. I had 0 down stuff and had no idea what down products even were. haha I also did not by any means have good snow boots. I still wear that Patagonia down vest. Highly recommend this place....

I placed an online order for a discontinued item. Once I placed the order, Aaron notified me that they were having an in-store sale on the item and refunded me ~30% of the online price. I live in CO and would never have known about the sale otherwise. The customer service throughout was excellent.

Good selection of outdoor clothing, gear, and shoes. The employees are very knowledgeable and helpful. They did (at one time) print a coupon in the Michigan Daily that was a great deal. Outdoor gear is expensive, so prices aren't really specific to Bivouac. Nice that it's a local business.
