After dealing with the single track roads we were glad we finally got there, but I'm afraid after all the hype we were very disappointed with the sanctuary. The sanctuary (though exploits the area they have to the best of their ability) looks very old and outdated has the feeling they are still stuc...

Cute little place, lovely scenery and nice informative staff.... Not the best for wheelchair access but we managed it! All children had a great time. Worth a visit but only a couple of hours! Do free careers too which is a great help!

The knowledgeable and available staff make this a truly informative and individual visitor experience. The educational ethos and green mission of the sanctuary are both laudable and my son's vegan partner who is studying animal behaviour was very impressed and also enjoyed the ice cream, unlike my m...

It's true what the negative reviews say, there aren't many monkeys and you can get around the entire park in a short space of time. But it's a sanctuary and not a zoo. The food in the cafe did the job just fine and the map puzzle kept my little one entertained.
Above all, the animals are very well ...

A relaxing day out, very informative keepers are on hand for talks or to answer any questions. Feeding time seems to be around 2pm most days. Overall it's quite small, so if you rush round you'll be done in less than an hour, but we just enjoyed sitting and watching the monkeys interacting with ea...

Quite a number of years ago together with our family we visited the sanctuary and I ended up with a baby woolly monkey on my knee with its tail round the back of my neck while it tried to reach for food placed on the table in front of me. I'd been warned not to touch it or try to stroke it as its m...

Went with the children on a rainy day. They weren't overly impressed and we wasn't either. There wasn't much of a sanctuary really, quite small and crammed. Looked alot more appealing on the web site and leaflet which is why we visited but was fairly disappointed. Lovely cause though so on the other...

This is a fabulous charity which rescues abused and neglected monkeys from the pet trade. It is a highly educational but interesting centre, and there are always several keepers around giving talks on the monkeys themselves and the primate pet trade. It is a truly unique experience; it is not a pett...

They're doing a good job here and it was very eye opening to see just how badly some of these monkeys are treated before they get helped out here at the sanctuary. The keepers were very informative and there is a lot to be learned about monkeys and their habits.

A wonderful place to go as a family to see the monkeys and more importantly to learn more about them. The keepers are on hand all day to talk to you about the monkeys and are very kind and enthusiastic about what they do. Thank you to the sanctuary for a brilliant day!

Slightly hippie vibe to this animal sanctuary in the woods. The enclosures are set into the side of a steep hill and quite impressive on their own. We visited during wet weather so did not see that many monkeys but we spent some time speaking to the very engaging staff and letting our two year old r...

We spent twenty one minutes here and left,

Bit pricey but a lovely place to spend a couple of hours. The keepers know their monkeys and are happy to answer any question. I've been a couple of times and find going after lunch is better as its a bit quieter. Kids play area is good as is the activities hut.

It may be small but spend time to speak to the keepers who are passionate and knowledgeable about the monkeys. My family came away positively charged about the good work that the sanctuary carries out!

And the ticket lets you return free for a year which we certainly will do.
