Nice historic hotel right in downtown San Diego next to the Gaslamp District. Nice decorative common areas along with classy decorative rooms. Service was excellent during our stay. Staff is very responsive and attentive. Very pleasant stay! Highly recommend!
The US Grant hotel is obvious historical site, but also a well-appointed and modern-feeling hotel. Food is excellent & Very good guest services.Highly recommend.
My husband and I wanted to end our week vacation at the beautiful and highly rated US Grant. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, we had nothing but issues which I addressed with Management shortly after we returned home.
Very nice hotel. In middle of San Diego downtown (close to gas light district). We stayed there after Thanksgiving and hotel was nicely decorated for Christmas. WiFi setup was a little annoying since we had to connect to it each day. But otherwise great hotel!
Incredibly luxurious hotel with a lot of history. Opened in 1910, this hotel offers guided and self-guided tours of the building pointing out all interesting rooms and artwork. The rooms are large and well stocked. The beds are comfy and spacious and amply pillowed. The bathroom and shower are also ...
Love this hotel! Old world San Diego charm in modern day digs. Well apportioned rooms cook bar/restaurant, and professional staff. Slept great here too. Also, fantastic bathroom.
Outstanding hotel. Historic and perfectly located in San Diego. The hotel is really interesting to see, not your typical generic hotel where everything looks the same. The staff was absolutely outstanding. They treated everyone like celebrities. They went out of their way to make me feel welcome....
I have never stayed here but I've eaten and been to a couple events. Friendly, accommodating staff. Beautiful facility. Conveniently located next to everything! So much in walking distance.
This is not our first time having breakfast at the hotel restaurant and every single time we are absolutely amazed by the quality of the food and the great service. Highly recommend this for your breakfast choice!
It s not what they advertise. Small rooms, rusty bathroom, small windows and you can hear the noise from the outside which is very hard to sleep in. Will never stay again
The hotel lobby and conference rooms are very nice. This is clearly an historically significant hotel, which is ornately decorated. However, the rooms leave much to be desired. My windows look out onto a run-down series of buildings. The street level noise can be loud and clearly heard through the ...
This is the highest grade in luxurious hotels. Has history, beautiful chandeliers, must vallet park. Bar,patio, dinning at Dobsons across the street,Gaslamp for fun and Horton Plaza for sbopping.Rooms are all very private and spacious, goosedown bedding, room service, and views of Downtown SD.
The hotel is beautiful and well maintained! Every staff personnel we encountered were extremely friendly, knowledgeable, mannerly and helpful. And ohhhh....the beds! You sink into them. Made it hard to get up in the morning! Also, you couldn't hear any noise from the hall or any other room. Very qu...
Wow! This place is like something you see in the movies (old school vibe). Be aware that it is valet only ($49 per night) but don't let that stop you. The rooms are clean and spacious but a bit dated. The staff are all very helpful as well. If you're in San Diego, you should definitely check this pl...
Absolutely amazing place to stay! Great location. Walking distance to many restaurants and the lobby is a great place to hang out in as well! The cocktail cart in the evening is a great way to start the night and lounging on the couches with the nighttime lanterns they put out is a great way to clos...
It's just a dirty hotel plain and simple. The front desk staff is unfriendly and the rooms have a general rundown feel. Much better places to stay in San Diego for the cost.
I stayed at this hotel about a year ago, as a little get away to relax during my 7 months of being pregnant. I stayed in the signature suite, one of the best hotel bathrooms I've been inside. It was an excellent stay,so my bf decided to book the hotel again as another get away to relax, now that I ...
Excellent hotel. Picture is of an important local history of women's rights/discrimination in the lobby of the hotel. Staff was very attentive, building exceedingly clean. Bar was full of people and life at night.
Excellent. The staff was amazing, nice friendly, Cory, Lee, Jerry, Albert, Alberto, Mr. Brooks, I wish I could remember everyone. They were very attentive to our needs. Our suite the Grant was impeccably designed and spacious. We had an issue with the valet but decided that with everything else bein...
Excellent Hotel definitely 5 Star in my book. Great bar with live music on the weekends. Be sure to shop wisely for rates. I got a great deal on my stay, but a mouth later the price was WOW! Room service was great. Room was very comfortable indeed. On my list to return again. Gaslamp Districts ...
Nice service and pretty luxurious accommodations. VERY expensive and you're charged for everything. Internet access is almost $15 / day! Also there's NOT much room for clothing unless it's hung up. NO clothes drawers available as they're for a mini refrigerator, coffee maker, etc. LOTS of outle...
It's an amazing hotel that takes no shortcuts with customer service. I only have two minor complaints. One there is no self parking only valet for 50 a night and two the rooms are a little on the small side. They are very comfortable and luxurious but definitely small for the price you pay. I would ...
The rooms were exceptional; comfortable, clean, and well styled. The shampoos and soaps provided smell divine, and the front desk was extremely friendly and helpful.
Lovely hotel, not quite as luxurious as others such as the SLS in LA or The Chatwell in NY, and there is no mini bar, but lovely nevertheless. Staff at the front desk were fantastic. Rooms are good, but lack a wow factor. Great bathroom.
Excellent service, first of all. But second, and no less important, the food was inventive, yet classic, and the wine selection was great. Dessert options covered the bases, but were pedestrian.
Not a bad place, bit run down/old seeming. Wifi was difficult to connect to, mini fridge didn't work, no labels in the shower so it was hard to set the temp well, also super slippery tile in the shower. If it was a cheaper hotel it'd be fine. For the price it was not good at all.
The room was spectacular. The history involved with that hotel makes this a wonderful place to stay. We happen to be staying there the night that the US soccer team smeared Denmark. Great times!
! BUYER BE AWARE ! Thouse of you that follow my reviews know that I rarely write negative feedback unless essential information is being missdelivered.
Couple days ago we booked reservations @ The US Grant for the LaborDay weekend. We book through Hotwire and took advantage of their hot rate. Co...
Excellent service and really nice rooms. Only complaint would be a/c struggles to keep room at set temperature. Room was hot at check-in. Other than that bed was great, bathroom spacious and high end LG big screen in room. Lots of history behind this hotel.
The US Grant hotel is obvious historical site, but also a well-appointed and modern-feeling hotel. There are grand staircases and long corridors, tall ceilings and tall mirrors, and old artworkb throughout, yet inside of each room is a quiet and dignified modernity. There were sufficient plugs for a...
This hotel is very luxurious. If you feel like spoiling yourself, then this hotel definitely offers you that experience. Its centrally located and very easy to get to. The staff were lovely and easy to deal with. I would stay here again when I am back in San Diego.
Stayed at the Signatute suite here and got to say it was well worth it! Staff was nice and fun no matter who you talked to and room service was always there to make sure we had everything we needed for a great night on the town.
Everything about the hotel was magnificent, starting with the entra...
