I have been here for lunch a few times. Each time the service and the food is exceptional. The menu has expanded to 3 choices. I had the new peppered fillet cooked medium which melted in the mouth. I gave my wine to a friend as I was driving. We had coffee which came with "cook sisters".

I truly wish I could rate Rust en Vrede with 6 stars; their food is excellent every single time and their staff is so helpful and friendly. It is especially wonderful sitting outside under the trees, beautiful ambience all around.
The epitome of South African hospitality. The rolling hills and vineyards create the perfect backdrop to the start of the meal. The high ceilings and history on the walls create a level of expectation that is not disappointed. 6 courses with wine pairing shows the sommelier really understood the men...

Spend a nice afternoon here. Honestly many South African red wines disappoint me (the wine farms are more about the ambiance), but here the wines were very delicate and tasteful. The lunch was also good . Not to mention the view.
One of my favourite wine estates. Great wines, service and knowledgeable staff that makes visiting this wine estate a great pleasure to experience. Mostly top end red wines and a restaurant that everyone should try at least once in their lifetime.
Such a good ambiance under the trees. However there were only 3 selections for lunch. But the real star was the red wine! The 2018 wine tasted as if it has been sitting for at least 5 years. The dessert wine was also to die for! Bought 3 bottles on the way out... A must try! All 9 of us fell in love...
