You can't get any closer to opera than this. You can see the orchestra, and sometimes the singers walk through the audience!
Excellent option to share cultural moments. I'm a HISD teacher and highly recommend @operaintheheights Alimentate con #cultura #culture #musica #music #opera #arte #arts #plays #theatre #Teatro #Houston #Texas #education #educacion #school #fieldtrip
There was a new opera group that performed my first time attending there and they were phenomenal, I'd pay to see them again
This was our first time at the opera...v
Was very entertaining and interesting...
Saw 2 shows here and both were absolutely excellent. Also the venue is such a perfect size, every seat is a great view.
Great for kids. Live theatre is always an open ended proposition...
Lots of fun performing with them for Cosi. Excellent musicians and performances.
It was a very interesting night,different...it's an old church, small but comfortable, the singers, wonderful! And the Orchestra perfect, it was an Opera with a twist, you have to go and judge by yourself...you won't regret it.
Up and coming, technical difficulties during show. Great musical performances.
I've always been a huge fan of Opera in the Heights, it is an amazing venue and the talent and skill there is top notch.
Great way to be exposed to Opera, with new Opera talent!! Opera in your face!!
There's a good variety and amazing talent. Small so every seat is good. There were a few times when the A/C was out so it wasn't very comfortable.
I've been a subscriber to both HGO and OH! for years now. In my humble opinion the artists at Opera in the Heights are every bit as talented as those at HGO, and far more accessible. I love being so close to the singers and the orchestra. OH! brings a sense of joy, humor and enthusiasm to the stage ...
(Candide) The parking limited, so be prepared to park along the side streets. The venu itself is a cross of an old movie theater (seating-wise) & a college classroom for theater. You can dress up if you are heading out after, or dress casually. It's an informal setting. The orchestra & performers we...
Always a great intimate and affordable opera experience
Wonderful experience. I love this little theater. Every seat is a good seat.
I was lucky enough to see Carmen, Saturday night and Sunday matinee. 3/28/15 and 3/29/15. If you were daft enough to go expecting the full on Bizet's Opera, you were probably confused. But that would have been an error on your part. This was an adaptation of "The Big Show" by Peter Brook. (All...
It was a little campy and the tenor did not show, but because it holds only 220 people any voice will carry the house. i prefer it to HGO that is a little too pretentious and rarely measures up.
