So apparently if you're a veteran with a service dog you can't eat in the cafeteria. They allow you to buy food but then you have to take it outside. My sister has been dreaming of this college for sometime now and to be kicked out because of her disability is wrong and illegal.
Wonderful campus. Dedicated professors. Solid athletics. Amazing town. Beautiful environment. Safe and secure on campus living. Ignore the haters and pursue you passion!!
Just graduated with a degree in Finance. Great teachers, courses, and learning experience all around. Plenty of hands on experience, just need the drive to find and take part in it. Also love the city of flagstaff, small enough to go anywhere, but the forest makes this place huge.
I currently attend Northern Arizona University and I can honestly say it is the worst University I have ever been to. If you were considering attending this University, I strongly urge you to reconsider. The school is very poorly managed and many policies make no sense. Everything about this school ...
Professor Heather Martel and the growing staff of anti American, anti God, anti men, and anti Christian thinkers need to think twice before saying such critical things against Christians. When the day comes that Christians are listed as those to be protected under the hate crime laws; they will quic...
Great University with amazing options in natural science and elementary education. I recommend the forestry school. Whatever you do, choose NAU. It's literally higher education (6900 ft). It beats ASU and has tons of cool things to do around the area. Get out of the metropolis and learn on a higher ...
I'm a transfer student from out-of-state and have greatly enjoyed my first year here at NAU! My biology advisor is amazing! She's so helpful and knowledgeable. As well I am a single mom and living off campus, but NAU has helped with childcare costs which has been a blessing. The area is beautiful a...
The wine yang to Hops' beer yin, vino is much more relaxed than its lively counterpart, though dont expect a library as they do have live music here on occasion. Good selection of wines as well as some carryout for beers. Great patio, with comfier seating than hops. A little pricey, but such is life...
tl;dr The campus is beautiful but with poor management and overzealous expansion.
Now the long version, I am a Flagstaff local and attended NAU for two years before leaving for literally anywhere else. The school has a great grounds-keeping department and whoever is in charge of the gardening des...
Oh, it's been a headache from the start! I really tried to make it work at NAU. I'm sure if you attend classes in person it's a different experience, but if you are a completely online student run far far away! It's really hard to get people to communicate at this school, especially if you are out o...
Went to college here for a semester. The school was fine. The teachers were good. Overall, the people weren't particularly friendly though. The main reason I didn't stay was because of how unfriendly the locals were.
I transferred from a university to NAU for their online extended campus. I can proudly say that I have received the best education from NAU. I have never felt so much challenged through academics and developed great skills from passing those challenges. I am proud of where I got my education because...
I was accepted into NAU at the beginning of January and I was so excited to be going to school at NAU. I was going to be about an hour away from my family and they had a couple of degrees I was interested in. After a month of no luck trying to get a hold of someone to give me advice on which degree...
Internet connection on the entire campus is super frustrating for the lack of speed, outdated technology which is really a struggle since lots of classes went from text books to online work spaces. Also chairs in every building are very unergonomic, I wonder how many people get backpain from these a...
I DO not recommend the online version of this school; it's the worst thing I have ever experienced. I had to take an online course, and the instructor kept changing instructions for assessments that were due. For example quiz 5 was due on 4/28th, and I had to read chapters 12 and 13 and a 48 page ...
Northern Arizona University is a beautiful campus with lots of history. My daughter and I toured the campus twice before deciding to come here. Very friendly stay and students, beautiful buildings and so much to do in and around the school. Once it snows, it becomes even more beautiful. They're cons...
Great campus, great town, the friendliest people. Loved the layout of the campus and fresh air. Everyone was so helpful and the study programs were hard to beat. Alot going on at the campus. Great school experience.
Brings way to much traffic to Flagstaff. Flagstaff only cares about the college because of the money they get. Lots of negative news about the school lately.
Best College campus I've seen so far. Short distances to each of your classes, everything you need is on campus, small student body, high student-to-faculty ratio, and also year round excellent weather with a great community.
WA Franke College of Business is a joke. 90% of Everything taught in class was theory and 10% was hands on. If you like memorizing definitions and taking a test this school is for you. If you want a true learning experience this place is not the school to go to. Graduated with a 3.3 GPA in CIS.
Beautiful place to go to school. Staff aren't particularly helpful, but if you are willing to just do your own thing, this is a great area in which to live and learn.
Thanks a lot for the notice that your institution was going to close down during the holidays. For some of us, this is the only time to get questions answered, direction, and things lined up for the upcoming semester courses. Why does this university feel they need to have so much time off during ...
Heather Martel needs to be fired for harassing students for reading their bibles before class begins. Last I checked this is the United States of America where we have the freedom to do such things. This PC garbage is out of control. Wake up America! Wake up! If someone wants to KEEP their bible ou...
This 'school' has cost my daughter an entire semester. They promised her everything to get her to commit, then they pulled the rug out. They over accept applicants to the point there is no available housing in the entire town. Then, instead of providing assistance, they tell her glibly, "Go on craig...
okay lets see first off I dont like murderers, and second of all, Id like to be able to read the Koran before a class starts without a professor harassing me for what I choose to do before their class starts. You know who Im talking about heather martel
Northern Arizona University is a great university. It is small, it guarantees that you get all the classes you need to graduate on time, and classes are small and professors friendly.
I got two degrees from The Franke College of Business, and I loved the school and faculty. The building is state-...
I wouldn t recommend Northern Arizona University to anyone. Be very leery when it comes to dealing with their financial aid department. For nearly two months, I have been trying to get a fraudulent charge by the school on my account overturned. After much run around, I was told that the billed amoun...
I'm perplexed as to why the Bible isn't allowed to be read before a History class? That book is full of so much great History. In addition, did I miss religion being taken out of the protected classes? Are we suddenly being censored, Its not like the young man got up in front of the class and start...
Amazing school, I am going there right now, and the teachers are super passionate about what they do! The campus is gorgeous, and the people are friendly. Love it!
I completed my entire bachelor's degree at NAU during 2007-2011. I know NAU has changed a lot since I was enrolled, but it's still a great university with a lot to offer. The Student Learning Centers provide free tutoring, the professors are mostly friendly and knowledgeable, and of course the locat...
There are very friendly people here, however the nonsensical regulation and democratic policy s permeates throughout the campus. Not to mention the confusing, expensive parking permits and strict parking enforcement. I attempted to attend a NAU football game but was unable to because I committed the...
Best abroad studying experience! Major in HRM, classes and faculties are way better than other majors. Tons of career opportunities, nice dining and living environment. Study business here, and they won't let you down.
Beautiful campus and great location but overall poor performance in education. The professors lack knowledge in their subject of study (or refuse to teach it) and didn't challenge me to grow in my field of study. Future students who are considering NAU may want to reconsider a better school where th...
Campus was very dark at night and hard to find guest parking. As a visitor for a comedy event, it was hard to navigate. The campus did seem beautiful from what we saw and there was a restaurant near by.
This school is ONLY out to get your money. The advisors are absolutely no help when it comes to issues regarding the curriculum or credit hours for your program of study, and when you drop a class they hold your money for 45 days to determine how much more of that money they can take from you even w...
The college its self is full of a bunch of the most rambunctious children. The school doesnt intervene when needed. They have these dorm ambassadors that do nothing. If there is a problem they just move people. Nothing more. They allow the mist immature behavior. Community college = less tuition, le...
Northern Arizona has been a great experience up to this point. The town is awesome the people are great. My daughter seems to have embraced the town. Professors and coaches have been great and anticipate a great college experience for my daughter. GO JACKS!
I absolutely loved my college experience here! I have my degree in Accountancy and a minor in Criminal Justice. And I have my M.B.A from this university as well. The W.A. Franke College of Business has wonderful professors and resources for students to take advantage of!
The school is decent, I've had a spectrum of instructors from the no tolerance whatsoever , must see it their way or you fail the class, to the friendly nice caring professors who actually care about their students. If you plan on going to NAU though, count housing out, they have a terrible housing...
While I had some good teachers while I was there, there was a majority of teachers who didn't seem to even care. It's a beautiful campus but the school only cares about taking your money and they don't provide you the help you need to succeed academically. They've accepted more students than they ca...
