Went on a hot weekday. Almost impossible to see all the homes because of them closing around noon, or opening late. What we did see was nice.
If you're a history buff or teaching your children, this is a must visit place. The area is rich with the history of early settlers and their encounters with the Native Americans.

Spent half a day visiting historic homes. Some homes had a tour guide; others were self-guided. Guides were very knowledgeable. Do need more time to visit - at least one whole day.
Absolute pristine colonial buildings. Beautiful little town.
We loved the attention to detail in preservation and the guides were very knowledgeable. It's a great slice of early American history. My favorite is the amazing collection of French and Indian War Powderhorns.
14 Street with old houses have been preserved. You can visit them. Very worth.

Beautiful and mind blowing historical gem. The docents who give tours are very knowledgeable and generous with their time when the village is not busy. Even just an hour or two are enough to get new insights on history.

Such a fun and relaxing experience. I didn't know how entertaining it would be for my 3 and 7 years old but absolutely loved it! Exploring the houses and meeting the tour guides kept their focus.

First went on the tour here back in Holy Trinity School about 50 years ago! It was awesome then and the History was indelible! You owe it to yourself to check Old Deerfield out!
This was very disappointing. Your paying to get 35 minute guided tours. They go every hour, except at lunch time. Was interesting, but really not worth the money. Our 4th visit from the UK to this historic street and still love it. Visited the Museum for the first time today and it is recommended that you don't just pass this attraction by. Its a wonderful collection of American history. Free to enter but donations welcome.

It is almost unbelievable that so many of the oldest buildings here were frontier homes and were raided by native Americans.

A very beautiful country the falls are the same as in 1750/1800. The fantastic green with the squirrels that pass by you.
If you like history a must place to visit. The guides that lead tours in some of the homes give family history. As well as history of many items in the home. Time well spent and very enjoyable.

Really wonderful place. Beautiful houses in a charming old New England town. Best visited in the fall. House guides are really knowledgeable. Also take time to explore the area it's a beautiful part of Massachusetts.
Excellent place to take the family. The staff are knowledgeable and will answer questions. The family center, with it's games and projects, was a huge hit with our boys. Be prepared to walk and climb stairs. Also consider that not all houses are handicapped or stroller accessible.

My husband and I did the tour of the old houses recently. We both loved it. So much history here. The guides were all very nice and full of knowledge. Yes, there is walking involved but I tried to feel what it was like years ago. It is so worth it.
