Every time I visit the Delta King it is a magical experience. I feel like I'm flying over the river. They have nice seating areas around the ship that allow for the river view to be seen. Overall great. But It can be on the pricy side if you are looking for something economical.
Lovely different hotel experience I'd highly recommend. Whether you or river or city side is somewhat irrelevant unless you've got a private balcony. 2 restaurants onboard, as well as numerous a few meters away in the lovely Old Sacramento. Rooms are small but well appointed with all the usual featu...
If you like creepy old places you'll love this place. Elevators are shaky, first floor where the theater is smells very odd, other then that the scenery of the water is gorgeous. The restaurant has amazing food and nice staff
My husband and I stayed in deluxe room 521. It was very cute and cozy. Small as expected, being on an old Riverboat but nice. We also visited their bar/grill for cocktails and live music. A good time. Staff at the Delta are all very friendly. Note we recommend their valet parking for an additional $...
The hostess told us there was a 20 minute wait for a seat but we could go up to the bar and receive full service there. We chose to go to the bar area and waited about 20 minutes of no service before returning to the restaurant. The hostess was great and got us a seat quickly. From there the service...
Staff needs to be retrained, can't rate horrible service when no one waited on our table, even after the bartender came out from behind the bar and said someone would be right there. Twice. 25 minutes, finally left, we weren't the only ones not served or approached. It was not busy, there was plent...
Delightful boat accomodations, great service, great food, good bar area. It is right at Old Sacramento and the shops & restaurants, close to the Train Museum, 1 mile away from the Automobile Museum, and has surrounding walking paths. We enjoyed our stay.
I stayed here once, and my parents have stayed here a couple of times. Yes, the rooms are small, but the hotel has a lot to offer to make up for it. Great views of the river from the deck, from the restaurant, and from the bar, and nice to walk over to all the stuff in Old Sacramento. All of the ant...
We have been bringing our groups to the Delta King for over 30 years for a great experience and meal. The last time we did it was a disaster! The catering department was not truthful in their contact, so the meal went from $26.25 to $41 per person (room fee) the service was late (even when they wer...
Our stay was quiet and restful. The room and bathroom were small and a bit worn, but that should be expected on an old riverboat. We ate at the on board restaurant for dinner and breakfast and the meals were great. We did have trouble with long wait times for the valet service. The valet service as ...
Attended for a author event. The venue was clean and the staff were nice and helpfull. It would have been nice to have some blinds on some of the windows since the even was inside one of the banquet areas it was hot for those directly in front of the windows.
I wish I could Put 0 stars there were dirty towels in my room The room is not what I booked very dissatisfied disappointed false advertisement I didn t even sleep
Went to the suspects theatre for a murder mystery show with the family. Show was entertaining, but a little overlong. Could have used breaks for mealtime, specifically.
Food was ok, but nothing amazing. Would not go back for the food alone.
WARNING! Although this is a charming, lovely place to stay and the service is good it is highly likely that your car will be vandalized (windows broken out) if you leave your car with their valet parking. It happened to three cars that we were aware of on the day we stayed. A man checking out sai...
If you can splurge for a hotel room, I recommend booking the Captain's Quarters, the 2-story accommodations at the bow of the ship. It was well appointed with a comfy antique sleigh bed, roomy sitting area, wet bar located in an armoire, large bathroom with clawfoot tub, private veranda, and a mezza...
Went with my cousin to choose the delta king as her venue for her wedding. They offer quite a bit for their wedding packages. I loved how there is so much history with this place!
Rooms are extremely small. Only one chair inside room. Shower had like warm water. Bathroom tiles were dirty. Oak box above toilet was very dusty. Bed was very uncomfortable. To be honest, I don t know how this hotel is rated more than 2 stars. I guess you would like it if you like everything old an...
Its ojay listing due to rin aground. Food price fair okay not worth. Ots the closest setting to Anerican and other host town old tiwn Sacramento, ca. Because rents, taxes drove l cute shops off, Sacramento sucks its e pensive for such a armpit of a town.
Did not stay at the hotel but went there for lunch and was not disappointed. A bit spendy but the flavors and portions were what you paid for. Highly recommend.
The room was a little small and the "city view" wasn't much of a view at all, but the best boat turned hotel I've ever stayed in and the included breakfast was the best complimentary breakfast I've ever had. A fun experience overall.
A complete mismatch between the room photos online and what you actually get. Not only that, no one mentioned to when we got there that a local construction crew was going to be driving pilings early in the morning on the other side of the river. It was not all bad, though. The front desk people ba...
Didn't stay in hotel but plan to someday. Ate at restaurant for champagne breakfast that was delightful with the view on the river. It's out of the norm setting with great ambiance of the good ole days in the Gold Rush era.
It is truly a unique experience and I love the ambience. The Captain's suite is amazing and really worth more than just one night, but it is very pricey. I think the package deals are the best value.
This place is a hidden gem on the pier area of Old Sacramento. There are tons of little restaurants in the area but this place was unique, quiet, and has great food. My wife and I sat at a beautiful window seat which over looked the river and enjoyed a great steak. The prices are reasonable and w...
What a great place to stay. Forget the new hotels. Take a step back in time and stay here. Only issue I seen and it is not even an issue. Was being 6 2 the rooms and doorways were short. But that s how everything was in 1927. Breakfast comes with your room and was amazing. If you are in old ...
Pleasantly surprised by the Delta King. Had never been and wasn't aware how good the food was at reasonable prices... mind you I said reasonable. I got over the novelty of eating on a boat quickly once the service, ambiance, and food kicked in. Great place for lunch with a small group. I am compelle...
My interactions with the servers were very pleasing and they made my experience even more enjoyable! The boat and the city provide a very nice atmosphere that I'd gladly return to!
