As I did not respond to that contract, which I never saw (they did not email or call), they then started charging me DOUBLE the market rate and have been doing that for the past 2 years....

These companies send representatives to your home and convince you they will provide a cheaper service. My advice is don't trust them and don't disclose your account information before doing some research ! There are too many examples where people are reluctant to say no and get deceived.
