magnificent scenery of some 100 years ago painted on a more than 200 meters wide canvas. must see when visiting the Hague. also visit modern Scheveningen, find the spot in which Mesdag stood while devising his panorama. yes it has changed... a lot!

Impressive place in its beauty,

Impressive place in its beauty,
An enriching experience.

The explanations given in English (in audio) in the first rooms, pre-entry panorama, are interesting and prepare for the big painting.
In the panorama you can hear the explanation in Hebrew through the audio.

This is one of the top attractions in The Hague. Beautiful this panorama painting of the village of Scheveningen around 1900. Via a small wooden staircase you come to a sort of viewpoint with a view of the panorama. Really beautiful and worth a detour.

It was so interesting to discover this unusual type of attraction. It doesn't require a lot of time, but I am sure you've never seen an art installation like this before. Very well maintained, and the supporting exhibitions are interesting too. Take the time to include this in your touring itinerary...
