Opera in the open air. Recommend taking a picnic to Holland Park before the generally 1930 start. Experimental sets and often obscure choices but always fun. Audience on the aged side!
Artistic standards are as good as or better than anything you'd find in pricey London opera houses. Good set designers make you forget the limitations of the shallow stage. Unforgettable performances and evenings. Catering is the only slight disappointment

An ok production but not more but then the tickets don't cost the earth either. The two main singers were excellent. If you are going, take a blanket and warm clothes as it's always cold even in the summer!
