Such a wonderful space! The staff are lovely and friendly, always up for a chat. There s a great community vibe throughout the gym, and other members are always eager to help out and/or cheer you on.
The coffee is great, the muffins also great!
I love the dogs that come to visit, makes each visit exciting and new!
The changes each week do a great job of keeping the climbs fresh, fun and new, though sometimes there seems to be a lack of of easier climbs for beginners.

Not with fancy over hang wall or many volume, lot of foot hold is very worn out with black marking from climbing shoe , but the vibe n climbers is friendly n chill here , would be more appreciated if they can clean up hold regularly.

Believe it or not, this place serves the best pizza in Sydney, if not Australia. The beauty of these pizzas lies in their simplicity: a thin crust with a thin spread of tomato sauce, topped with only one or two quality ingredients - none of which is pineapple. It is exactly like how you get your pizza in Italy!

Note: they only run a small kitchen, so expect a wait. Chef Patricio prepares the pizzas right in front of you though, so strike up a chat with him while you wait - good chats!

I was bouldering for a first time in my life. Great place for beginners and definitely good place for advanced boulders (some guys and girls had amazing skills). Expected higher entry cost, so got positively surprised :)

Just went to 9 Degrees and had a great time. The staff were friendly, they had a good variety of difficulty and variation in the climbs, and comprehensive facilities including moisturiser and chalk. Will be returning and would highly recommend.

The best bouldering gym in Sydney. I have been to many climbing walls around the world and this is one of the best. The height is about right and the problems are set very well with a mixture of slabs, vertical and overhangs. In addition to the walls there is also a slackling and training area as well as a coffee bar. A great way to spend an afternoon.

Best boulder gym in Sydney IMO - lots of great climbs for beginners (more than most other gyms) but also a good amount of harder routes.

Also great vibe and attention to details, such as free chalk, and hand moisturizer. Also nice tight rope and small gym area

Fantastic space great climbs (for me anyway) friendly staff whenever I talked to them only slight criticism I could offer is that the staff only seemed to be behind the counter climbed for 3 hours and did not get so much as a g'day from any of the staff after I signed the waiver having said that it is a truly fantastic venue oh and great coffee

Great atmosphere and super cool problems! Really fantastic bouldering!
Coffee is great and you can have it relaxing on one of the many couches. Family friendly and dog friendly.
Parking can be tricky before 4pm

Great atmosphere, the best place in Sydney for indoor climbing. Friendly and helpful staff. I agree with previous post: if you just a beginner, start with either 2 months membership or even 10 visit pass. I bought it as a birthday present for my teenager grandson and he loves it! The next step for him is to master his skills and commit for yearly membership! Do the same and enjoy!

What a fun way to burn a few calories, my first climb I was worried, the second I was taking more chances a d by the third I was comfortable enough to leap to the next peg if I needed to. So fun!!

It should also be mentioned they are dog friendly and serve nice coffee.

I absolutely love 9 degrees Alexandria. The staff are super friendly and there is an amazing community feel to the gym.

Awesome facilities and nice routes for all levels.

Definitely recommended as my favourite climbing gym in Sydney.

I do not understand this great rating they have. The room has only a small slope. It's short for fun. The routes are not very popular in terms of movement. In 3 move bim it's over. I climbed into a room with the same walls and the routes were much more interesting. A little disappointed. I'm looking for another one ....

Amazing Vibes, Friendly people, Banter for days, Lots of gripping and ripping. Always good weather for friction. They make dope coffee. Also they have not thrown me out yet, so that's cool too.

The first thing I'd like to address is that the staff are incredibly nice people, so very welcoming and not at all intimidating to newcomers, and incredibly friendly to regulars.

As a climbing gym, 9 Degrees contains an incredibly varied set of climbs, caters to not only all skill levels, but even for different climbing styles. They even provide free chalk and sports tape if you require them.

In terms of other facilities available, the warmup area is a little small, but it's sufficient for warmups and other small activities, such as the weekly rotation of classes (yoga, abs, etc). They have coffee and pizza if you want them as well.

Can't really fault this place at all, which is one of the reasons I find myself coming back every week.

Love this place! Great indoor winter activity, fun climbs for all levels, dogs, coffee - all the good stuff. Gets helllllla busy after work though so if you can, go earlier rather than later otherwise you ll finding yourself waiting around for your turn on a climb

Thank you for listening adding more bicycle parking, went again today and there was much more room. Even when I left when it got too busy there was a couple of spaces to lock up still which was nice. +4 stars :P

The bouldering gym itself is pretty good, and they seem to rotate about 1/4 of the boulders every week so there is something new.

Bouldering makes you happy.

An inviting venue, with welcoming staff even for beginners. If you are just trying out for the first time, try the two week reduced price, as for it In store.

When done then you can decide to take out the much longer membership. And if you are considering taking it up, buy your own shoes - otherwise rentals are $7 per day.

Good luck!

Great bouldering gym. Staff are friendly and great atmosphere. There are a number of climbing routes and the walls are well maintained. Definitely worth a visit, even if you are a beginner as you can even rent climbing shoes for the day.

Can't recommend this place enough. The climbs are awesome, with difficulty levels that everyone can grasp (pun intended). All the staff are very welcoming and friendly, and the coffee by Sample roasters is spot on every time.

Very nice gym with a small workout area and nice stuff. Unfortunately, the holds were very dirty and sometimes I was not able to identify the colours, especially when looking down at the holds during bouldering. The holds are also slippery because of all the dirt.
They should set new routes more frequently and then I would give 5 stars :)

I've been tempted to dust off the cobbwebs to the old climbing does ever since this place opened it's big roller door, and this week I took a day off work to make it a long weekend to try out the wall with a mate from Melbourne.

It was disappointing to see that I couldn't immediately climb this wall like spider man.
Now I need to go back and keep going back until I can.

I didn't get very far with the color coded grades, I was almost able to achieve all the blue climbs, the 0 grade.

At $20 a day pass we hung around for most of the day, ducking out for some food and then coming back with the added challenge of extra weight.

The atmosphere of the place is great, you could watch some amazing climbers scaling the wall with the tips of their fingers, splayed out reaching the tiniest finger holds.

There's no pressure to hurry up, as everyone there is friendly and chill.

I would have liked to have seen more climbs that went across the horizontal, as opposed to the vertical, providing for a longer boulder, but each of the vertical climbs would take sufficient time to solve.
