If the Embassy could give feedbacks to every questions online it would be a nice thing.
After months of being told no one knew anything about this place, I found it!!
Something is going on with the embassy. I cannot tell if this is because of the personnel or if it is a US policy. If this is because of the Congolese personnel, may they be damned. This has been going on for a year now. I hope the department can look into this.
A hospital, Polyclinique de Kinshasa, partnering with the embassy doesn't have a urine test solution and they tell the applicant they will give her a call back but the urine was collected two weeks ago. I am wondering if they can still use the same urine and what the next excuse is going to be.
The embassy doesn't take calls apparently and they require that all inquiries be made through email, "do as I say madam, send us an email" with a rude tone. Tests that have been completed previously are being re-requested. This seems like a vicious cycle and it is not getting anywhere.
After the first interview on January 25, 2018, she was told that her application for a visa was successful but her family sponsor needed to submit a DS-206 form which was submitted both electronically and by hand to the embassy.
Each time, we will look at the application on our end, it says there were missing documents but we didn't know which. Since we didn't hear from the embassy or any of its representatives, we reached out in July (that's 7 months already) to know what was going on.
The embassy responds a couple of days after saying that the DS-206 form was missing (ironic, isn't it?). We re-sent the form through a new channel (e-mail) they had suggested we use.
The embassy goes quiet until February 2019, at which point we receive notice that the case would go back to its initial stage because there was a missing document. As it would be everyone's guess, it is the same form yet again.
So we go through the embassy's official website and do a bit of research. We figure, one, the email we were told to use was incorrect. So we submit the DS-206 form for a third time. After a few days, the status on the application changes to ready.
A couple days later a family member receives a call from an embassy representative to have the applicant come get the visa. This was toward the end of April. The rest as you know is history, back to tests, and the hospital not having a urine test solution, etc...
In between, all payments have been made from our end.
The sad part is that there are no channels to report these issues so that personnel can be held accountable. Personnel would call and not identify themselves, etc... we are told one thing and it is another. The whole experience is a nightmare. This is so out of US character.
You have to be stupid to give them a five stars. They charge 160$ for appointment and 250$ for visa that 410$ a monthly rent just to come to America ?? In fact they just refused visa to a family whom the mother was dying... let have some compassion here buzoba
