A highlight, however, was the guidance on Half Dome. My guide, Michaela, was excellent at encouraging me to push forward without being overbearing, which helped ease my nerves about the climb.

Casey, one of the guides at Wildland Trekking in Flagstaff, did a great job keeping the group together. He was patient and made sure everyone was challenged without leaving anyone behind. I’d give him four stars, though I wish he had shared more details about the landscape we were hiking through.
