Michaela was fantastic and made the experience truly special. However, I was let down by the gear provided for the Death Valley conditions. I trust Wildland Trekking for their local expertise, but I didn’t realize just how windy the valley gets. We faced strong winds for an entire day and night, and the mesh tents were simply not up to the task. Sand got everywhere—inside the tent and all over me while I was sleeping. I’ll be sending a photo and video to show you exactly what I mean. Despite this issue, the rest of the trip was excellent, and Michaela was wonderful.
