Good job with taking care of my grand daughter, just wish the location was better. The playground time should be larger, so the kids can run around. I would make outside time longer and nap time shorter.

When I enrolled my son last August it was a time of a lot of change for me. A new state, a new job, a new town and the first time I was putting my infant son into daycare after coming off of maternity leave. So, needless to say I was very sensitive and picky about where I would be entrusting my baby to stay while I was at work. From the first time when my husband and I toured the school we were greeted with smiles and friendly faces which made us feel at ease. Ms. Kristy (who leads the infant room) was informative and so knowledgeable about all things baby. She was also so friendly and made us feel comfortable. Fast forward a year later and my son jumps up and down every morning when we pull up. Every teacher has been wonderful and we have formed bonds with all of them; Ms. Kristy, Ms Rita, Ms Merlin, Ms Brenda, Ms Claudia, Ms Rosie and Ms Karla to name a few. They all genuinely love and care for all of their "kids". Even the admins Ms Ricky Ms Erica and the former Ms Ruthanne all made our experience memorable.
The facility is very clean and has amazing views. They also have a built in swimming pool where children can learn to swim. They do a great job with transitioning your child to the next class by getting them used to the other teachers before they move up.
I am very sad to say that we will be switching day cares because we moved a lot more North and the commute would be insane. Although I was considering driving 45 min out of my way, that is how much I love this place.
CCOA goes above and beyond and provides a real family unit to help your child thrive. It's so cute to see my son make sign language and imitate the sounds that animals make at such a young age.
Yes, the tuition is steep compared to other places but I pay every cent happily knowing my child is well taken care of. You will not be disappointed!
I have two boys- a three month old and a 19 month old, both of whom attend the Bee Cave location. My oldest son did not begin "preschool" until he was 16 months old (he had been cared for at home), so he had a big adjustment to make. He went into the "Owls" class, led by Ms. Merlin. We LOVE Ms. Merlin. He is no longer in her class, but she did such a great job helping him transition. She also genuinely seems to care about all her kiddos. Also, even before we had Ms. Rita as one of our teachers in the newborn "lamb" class, she was always very helpful.
Now, both boys are at the Children's Center. I cannot imagine finding a better facility to care for my precious ones. I have popped in at various times of the day, always finding my boys very well cared for. I have yet to encounter a teacher I did not like.
However, CCOA at Bee Cave is not "perfect." While the Children's Center comes close, there are a few things that keep them from being "perfect" for me.
Tuition: A little steep, but you get what you pay for.
Parking: There are not a lot of parking opinions. I hate having to park in the parking garage and then haul my two children through a busy driveway to get to and from school. What I hate even more are the numerous parents who park in the fire lane, creating an all-around more dangerous situation.
Teacher Hours: I work full time, so I drop of my kids before 8am and pick them up after 5pm (I know...I hate it too!). Because of the way the schedule is built, there are days I do not get to see my boys' primary teachers at all. This makes me sad because I would like to communicate directly with a teacher who watched my kid for the majority of the day rather than the "on-call" teacher who watches the classes when they are consolidated in the morning/afternoon.
We have had nothing but good things to say about the school and teachers. Our grandson has been attending for the past 2 years and he loves his teachers and friends. The education he has learned (started when he was 18 months old) is refreshing and he is far more advanced than kids who attend just a "daycare" in our opinion. This is a school, not just a daycare!
My daughter has been at CCOA for over 4 years and loves it. Her teachers have been great, the curriculum is outstanding, and they include all snacks and lunches. We just had our second child and he'll be attending as well.
