Great course (very tough)! Great people! This would be a 5 star review if the course had any signage directing you to the next hole.
Came for a charity dinner. Staff was awesome and the food was great. The view of course is amazing as well
Very nice course, lots of elevation changes. I played here recently in the winter (February), they were the last course to close near Boston!
We had a family and friends event today at the South Shore country club for a baby shower. We had the best time. The food was so delicious and the staff could not have been nicer. Thank you so much.
Course in great shape.....and not very wet despite a lot of rain
I've seen some improvement since the beginning of the summer with the range in that they haven't been shutting down the whole show for a private lesson anymore. I deducted 1 star due to the fact they no longer provide rubber tees to discourage using your driver (someone got hit over the range fence on the 18th). I deducted another star because they run out of balls a lot and it will eat your money. I will continue to improve this review if I see more improvements.
Beautiful country club. Even though golf is a waste of space it is very pretty. The bowling ally and restaurant are very nice
I was at the cemetary not at so shore country club..
This review is based mainly on the pool area and partially golf area. It s a nice place with 25 yards length pool and 7 lanes. The pool is clean and well maintained. They were regularly rotating the life guards that ensures attentive and alert life guards for the safety of swimmers. Next to the pool is big golf club. It looks to be a good facility. I saw multiple players enjoying the lush green grass fields, well groomed for a competitive game.
Cold and unwelcoming restaurant!! Food is cold and horrible!! I am a much better chef and will not be returning!!
Great golf course and the Greenside grill had great food.
Great considering so early in season. Lots of hills but great fairways
Nice course. Short yardage but narrow fairways and elevation changes make it more challenging. Small undulating greens.
Went there once for bowling and pizza in the bar. Nice lanes. Pizza was ok.
Great place! Restaurant is awesome! Highly recommend!
Great course with very friendly staff. Very child friendly with a restaurant at the end
Excellent public course. Staff is very friendly. Good mix of open and challenging holes. Lots of hills makes it challenging play with lots of awkward footing, which is a fun challenge. Course is kept very well and you can tell that staff is attentive to the course.
Come here a few times every summer and always have fun! The course is well kept and the staff are laid back, friendly and approachable.
Thunder and Lighting shortened round but it was fun.
This facility is a gem. The course is beautiful, challenging and in tip-top shape. Greens are fun and deceptive. Clearly well managed and maintained. Pace of play is excellent, no delays and no crowding. The clubhouse - bar, restaurant, public spaces are lovely and comfortable. Try the Reuben. Locker room, and bathrooms are meticulously clean. This feels like a posh private club but the cross section of players is diverse and friendly. Everyone seems to be enjoying themselves including the staff. And the rates are a steal.

Fun 5yo bowling party. Could use some exterior signage to let people know where to enter, parked in the upper parking lot and had to wander through 3 buildings before I found where the bowling alley was.
We went for a small function. Plenty of parking, nice views, nice staff. Food was pretty good too.
Professionals are courteous respectful in the greens are awesome to play on
Course is in great condition.Greens are excellent.
Facility for wedding was great... food... appetizers and dinner were delicious
i'm not going to give this place a negative due to my skill set(very new to golf 2nd year and still figuring the sport out). this is a difficult course and very challenging course. this is not a course i would recommend to someone that is new to the sport. its a well kept course and good staff. this would be a good course i would recommend to someone that is has been playing for some time and is a good golfer.
One of best public courses anywhere. Good food and drink too.
I've never been to a country club before this visit. Was only in the dining hall, which was nice but golf course looked beautiful and people at pool seemed to be having fun.
Course was in great shape and pace was good for a sunday afternoon.
Nice course. Some of the greens are way too fast. 12' below the hole. Putt up to 1' past. Balls stops then rolls back past me and 20 yards off the green.
This course has a challenging layout and some unique features. Without a ton of water, there's still rough you need to contend with and sand in strategic areas. If you're a long-hitter, you're going to be quite safe in most instances IF your short game is good. Keeping the ball straight is necessary on about 75% of the holes (but that's the way it is at most courses), but there are a few holes that don't punish you badly if you go awry. Toughest holes are 14, 3 and 7. Mostly because of how you're aimed at the tee box and the danger that exists off to the sides. The restaurant facility management changes pretty regularly, but the current management is good and the food and service is quite acceptable. Beer selection is good and they even allow you to buy beer in the restaurant to bring on the course with a complementary cooler (you need to return this after your round). Drawbacks... Never enough rangers keeping play moving. This has been a problem here FOREVER. You often see the player assistance carts driving around, but play can be slow here from time to time. There could be more signs for first-timers. People unfamiliar with the course slow up groups behind them by not parking carts in the right spot or not moving ahead to the next tee efficiently --- mostly because they don't know where to go next. I've even run into folks who go the wrong way at holes 4 and 13 because of no signs. Ultimately, it's a challenging semi-private course that is fun to play.
dinnee at the grill. beautiful night to dine on the patio
