Their handling of the corona virus is absolutely atrocious... they have done a great job at making my education political in the classroom and with the rules they make you adhere to. This school is a pitiful joke that unfortunately doesn t have the courage to stand up and uphold the constitution, they would rather just suppress your rights and accept the money.
College is what you make of it-you work hard, get your work in on time, ask questions when you need to. It's your responsibility, your time and your money and your attitude! I have had an excellent experience with South Central! I am thankful for all the advice and support from staff!
I am extremely glad that I'm almost finished. Before this last semester everything went fine, but then I was told that i was taking too many credits and that they would only give me enough money for 11/14 credits I was told I needed.
3 classes! That's how many classes I was told I needed, then was told yesterday that I didn't need. I am extremely upset with them. The lady I talked to about this was not helpful, rude, and never fully answered my questions. They are money hungry. I met with two different advisers to create a schedule and made sure that they knew which classes I was taking so that nothing would get messed up, unfortunately, they still managed to mess it up. Now I owe hundreds of dollars for a class I actually need, while they paid for a class I didn't need/want. Tech colleges are nice, but there are a lot of people who will say that they will not tell you certain information so that they can get more money.
The teachers are great (the ones that I've had). They are really helpful and understanding.
I do not understand what the student was saying about not being able to get help or instructors not willing to help either. I have a BS from Minnesota State and wanted another degree offered at SCC. I have nothing but good things to say about SCC, its facility and staff. They are not going to chase you there but all of the tools to succeed are available if you ask. Extremely good experience.
I love this place. The student affairs staff is helpful and they offer transfer options! Would recommend starting here if you want to save money while working towards a career or planning to transfer to a University
First, I want to start this by saying I already had a Bachelors Degree and a Masters Degree when I enrolled at SCC.
There are to many positives to list without turning this into a novel. The instructors are some of the nicest and helpful people I have ever met. The knowledge, and commitment to helping students succeed is top notch.
If there is one thing I like the most it is the programs willingness to get students placed in good quality careers. This school literally changed my life. This is hands down my most valuable degree.
Taking a 1 week robotics course arranged by my employer. The instructor is very knowledgable and has diverse experience in the field.

When I graduated with an AAS in Networking Services and tried to find employment I quickly realized how little the program prepared me to work in the field. The affordable tuition comes at a trade off with more 4 hour classes that meet once a week with a part time adjunct instructor. I regret my choice to go to school at South central college
