We like this hotel and stayed many times, but
The change of breakfast area is disappointment, as before (we stayed 4 times before) it was an
amazing -second to none breakfast in Italian style dinning room, now it has a corporate breakfast feel about it and less selection and coffee is not as good as before and artificial grass carpet
deco is strange
The laud disco music outside from 8pm to 10 pm with no one dancing is strange too, what about those
guests who want to have a romantic evening in a balcony or read a book or have an early night ..impossible!
On a positive side - the hotel is very clean, the reception staff is very good and knowledgeable and the seaside bar is great

Wow! Outstanding resort!! Lives up to the high expectations advertised on the website! Location, facilities, rooms - perfect! Staff, amazing! Food, the best in the region! Highly recommend this incredible resort and look forward to returning!! We stayed in the Coral Suite & were treated like royalty, it s not easy to impress New Yorkers, but Riva Del Sole is the REAL DEAL!

We had an amazing stay at Riva Del Sole. This was our first trip to Tuscany, and the village of Castiglione della Pescaia was absolutely perfect for our "few quiet days" before heading to Rome for business. All of the resort attendants were great, and the Bar RIva bartenders were the best! We stayed in the Coral Suite and it was very nice with an amazing bathroom and shower. Highly recommend the Coral Suite.

Our only recommendation is to make sure guests know that without a car, getting to and from the village is about a 2 km walk, as there is no shuttle or taxi service available. If you plan on arriving without a car, reserve bicycles and you will be set!

Also - La Mortelle winery tour was a great way to see the countryside. Great winery with a very unique cellar that is a must see, and a setting for lunch that you will want to spend a few hours enjoying!

Best place ever! Amazing Resort with all the facilities you need to relax and enjoy good food with your family. The weather is great in Tuscany and you can swim in the clear blue water of the sea, rest on the beach, go to the lovely town of Castiglione della Pescaia with your bicycle.... a dream... I look forward to be there again. Ciao!

What a wonderful hotel! I really had very little idea of what to expect as I couldn t get a feel for the hotel and resort through the website, on the telephone, or through TripAdvisor.
It s a beautiful, modern, clean, smart building with excellent rooms and really good service.
The only big disappointment was Riva Beauty.
Our bedrooms in the hotel were wonderful, the cleaners were brilliant, the beach bar was fantastic (both during the day and in the evening), the beach loungers were perfect, and the beach and sea were glorious!

We used La Palma restaurant for breakfast, which was excellent, and just once for dinner. Dinner here was very good, but we found the building municipal, and not the sort of restaurant that we wanted. It has great service, but is like a smart corporate canteen rather than an Italian Trattoria.
The hotel staff organised bikes to be available to us for the whole week, through a bike hire company, and we had wonderful evenings, biking along the safe bike track, to the beautiful town 10 minutes away.
Thank you, everyone at Riva Del Sole, for a fantastic holiday - I m sure that we shall return!

I stayed in the hotel . Very comfortable beds. This is the best place to go to if you need the luxury of a vacation by the sea, the hotel and the rooms are so elegant and the restaurants have great design and great food.. only one word. Excellent !

I loved the setting! The feel of the place was great. The gardens nicely kept, beautiful pool and beach! I thought the staff could smile a bit more. Many seemed rather grumpy, especially at the breakfast room. The receptionists were very welcoming and smiley though. Thank you!!!

The service was very good and food excellent.

I had a great time and will happily return. The Italians do things so well and still offer the best food and wine, not to mention the beautiful language! A few more smiles and a bit of warmth from the personnel would help a lot though.

We slept in the hotel Riva del Sole two nights, were pleased to have one double bed with one comfortable mattress instead of two twin mattresses pushed together. Newly renovated rooms, having a luxurious feel, with balcony and views of the typical tuscan trees, wide screen TV, air conditioning, porterage service included in the price. Situated behind a typical tuscan pine grove on the beach. However, the balcony is very small and although it has a table and two chairs, it does not invite seating because they are of steel and really uncomfortable. The Resort does not have many common areas outside except the beach, a bar, a restaurant (no sea view) and some alleys between the numerous housing opportunities. We would have loved to have some comfy chairs in the shadow of stone pines in several places with a seaview.

I have stayed here 5 times In the apartment buildings and none in the hotel. Getting an apartment means that you make your own foods. But as there are food stores close by and even a small boutique on site.

The beach is absolutely lovely, you have to pay for sun stools. The pools are great but can get quite crowded.

The wi-fi is generally okay, better by the pool, none at the beach.

Every time I've been here I've had an amazing, relaxing stay so I would definitely recommend this place if your planning a trip to Tuscany!
