Radisson Hotel Iowa City Reviews

Checked in and in 10 minutes later checked out. I booked a handicapped room for the night before a surgery. I was told that it had everything I needed. I got a King room with a little bigger bathroom, a taller toilet and a regular tub with handicapped bars. That is not a handicapped room. Try getting in a wheelchair and use that room. Try getting out of the chair and use that tub. If it s not handicapped, don t tell people it is!!! It is extremely RUDE to offer someone something they need when you don t have slightest clue what that is. BE BETTER!

I would highly recommend staying here! The room was clean and smelled fresh. The woman at the front desk gave us a great recommendation for dinner. The pool area was clean and the hot tub was great! We stayed one night and the bed was comfortable. They do now offer free breakfast, it was basic but delicious. They have a restaurant onsite but we did not use it.

It s nice hotel, the service was great, the room was very clean and comfortable beds too.

THEY HAVE ROACHES!! Went to grab cash out of my purse that was sitting on the desk for the vending machines and a ROACH ran out from under it! Their manager refused to do anything about this even with me having a picture as proof. Rooms are VERY outdated. Main lobby area is updated nicely and that s what they like to show in all of their pictures instead of the outdated rooms. Pillows and blankets are lumpy and old. Bathrooms and hallways are gross. Ice machines don t work. Shame on Priceline was making this hotel an express deal and encouraging people to stay there. This should not be a 3 star hotel! Save your money and stay somewhere else!!

No towels in the room. Had to request them 3 times. Didn't get them until 9:30pm. Front desk said it took so long because they were being washed? How does a hotel as big as Radisson not have enough towels?

I realize that this place is suppose to be great, but so far not impressed. The water for a soak was horrible, why in the world would a person not have enough hot water to fill the tub. No bag for garbage.right now I will not stay or pay the price to stay at any Renaissance again, candy at the desk 1.75for a small one. I heard that I walked away. Don't even know how much the drinks were, its scarey. Sorry shower heads need to be replaced. .

I was really satisfied. There's no complaint or thumb down with Radisson. I wished my stay were longer.

Pros: staff was super friendly. Price was cheap
Con:the bed was so uncomfortable. My husband and I kept rolling into the middle because of the dent in the bed. The pillows are so thin. You better bring your own. My fridge still had food in it from previous room tenant. I had two rooms. One rooms tub was so gross we thought we better wear flip flops. When we first arrived, upstairs had this baby diaper odor. It never went away. The hall smelt like it. The room smelt like it. Breakfast is served at 6:30am. I went down at 7am. The food was cold. The pool is shared with two motels. So it was constantly packed.
Conclusion: If your broke and are needing something cheap. It fits your needs. If your looking for a getaway from home. Stay home or spend the extra cash.

Bed was comfortable. The breakfast was nice enough. However, after a long stressful drive, a hot shower and rest was exactly what was needed. Unfortunately, 3 minutes into the shower the water went cold, and I was barely able to rinse the shampoo/conditioner out of my hair, and my girlfriend was unable to shower at all. Hopefully it was a fluke.

Nice rooms. Restaurant attached. Breakfast did not leave a good taste in our mouth.
Good WIFI - but warning keeps coming up about a detection of possible danger to use.
