the care of the therapists is more than dealing with why you're there. they care about the whole person. i learned so much that i can apply to my daily life to avoid future "issues". Barb and Tina were the therapists who treated me and they were kind, caring and gentle souls but extremely knowledgeable with even a sense of humor to make the experience a little bit more bearable. another wonderful thing about the practice is you're an individual. this is no factory where they stick you in a corner and you have to do your exercises you do at home. No, they work with you, teach you about your exercises (and yes, make sure you are doing them correctly), and give you very individualized care. highly recommend! thank you for the kindness and care you gave me.
I felt very welcome here. I did have a small issue and they went above and beyond to resolve it. My therapists were knowledgeable and kind. I would definitely go back, but I'm hoping I don't have to!! ;-)
I am truly grateful to have been referred to P.T. Partners! I had never heard of this practice prior. My daughter actually asked her physical therapist for a referral near me and thats how I discovered this fabulous group of women. Speaking of women, this group also specializes in female issues From the first phone call thru the entire appointment, I was greeted and treated by genuine kindness, professionalism and reassurance. My particular therapist, Barbara, is wonderfully unique, very smart, warm, and has a relaxing sense of humor. She has helped me so much with comprehension of my condition and the many ways to improve the quality of my life. She got to know me as an individual and displayed her commitment to help ME. Having been to other groups, I was pleasantly surprised that she was right there by my side the entire 45 minutes!! No assistant came to check on me , rarely was there even a disruption throughout my appointment. This one - on -one concept is a rare gem! It is their personal feeling that this helps patients achieve better results and provides much more time for instruction Being an RN, I guess am especilally particular when it comes to medical care .... P.T. Partners truly tops my list when it comes physical therapy. Hope this helps
Physical Therapy Partners is a top notch, professionally run office. The staff are all very friendly and courteous. They will try their best to accommodate your schedule. All of my eight appointments started promptly when scheduled. Barbara is extremely knowledgeable, personable and makes you work hard. My results were remarkable. Barbara is a wonderful physical therapist, makes sure you get a full hour of therapy and sends you off with very informative hand outs.
Wonderful care. They helped me with an issue in my shoulder blade that I have had for years. I thought what a needed was just a good massage therapist, but what I really needed was a professional like Susan who showed me the root of the problem and how to fix it long term. I highly recommend this group and Susan in particular.
The staff was wonderful. My physical therapist was Barbara. She was very knowledgeable and professional.
This is a wonderful establishment. Tina was my therapist and she was very knowledgeable was well as patient, thorough, and compassionate. I highly recommend their services.
I'm so very pleased & impressed to have found this group for my special need :) The whole crew were very professional, courteous, friendly & caring. The office set up is also very clean, organized & relaxing to focus on your Therapy. I'm a nurse myself and have learned a lot more about physical therapy treatment advances of the 21st century...especially for women. Amazing !! Ms.Barbara Zabriskie studied my issues and had a care plan created exclusive to my issues, that she taught me progressively each session. I would highly recomend this facility & services to my closest friend & family.
I came to PTP to get treated for tension headaches and migraines. I was immediately scheduled to see Susan, their headache specialist. Susan took the most gentlest approach to treat my chronic condition. After only several treatments I began to feel a great deal better. Susan taught me stretching, strengthening, and relaxation techniques to help me reduce my headaches' occurrences. I went from having 12-15 headaches a month to almost no headaches at all. Susan is a real miracle.
I can't say enough good things about Physical Therapy Partners! When I started physical therapy there, my pain was a 9 (out of 10) and I had limited functionality in my shoulder and arm. Not only am I fully recovered, but it was a life-changing experience. I learned more than I ever imagined, over and beyond what I needed to do to complete my physical therapy. It truly was life-changing in so many positive ways. The resources and referrals that Barbara and others gave me have also been life-changing. I feel as if I am "re-birthed!" I can't say enough. Additionally, EVERYONE at Physical Therapy Partners is welcoming, kind, polite, efficient and effective. You feel warm and welcomed the moment you step in the door. I can't imagine anything more or better!
Physical Therapy Partners provides great PT via a telehealth option. I am very happy with my therapist, and my progress.
I had a pretty uncomfortable visit. The staff there we really nice. I just think my PT really doesn't like her job. I will not be returning.
A lot of hard work but gradually increased for a very successful outcome.
I received a referral from my doctor based on pain in the pelvic area. When the Doctor referred me to Physical Therapy Partners to Ms, Barbara Zabriskie, I wasn't sure if this would work because of the distance from my home. There is no doubt that going to Physical Therapy Partners especially working with Barbara was one of the best decisions I have ever made. She not only recognized the specific symptom that was causing the issue but provided remedies as well as therapy which has improved the condition, Further, she was able to identify specific products that have enabled me to feel more comfortable. I would recommend Physical Therapy Partners to anyone who is facing discomfort and needs physical therapy.
I have gone to several physical therapy practices over the years, and Physical Therapy Partners is by far the best. I would never go anywhere else for physical therapy. The therapists are highly knowledgeable and take a personal interest in the client. They work with the client throughout the hour-long session and are excellent diagnosticians. Everyone in the office, from receptionists to therapists, is friendly and helpful. I have and will without reservation continue to recommend Physical Therapy Partners to friends.
PTP has made an amazing difference in my life. Through strengthening and exercises, I am pain-free for the first time in many years. Both Barbara and Susan are terrific! I would highly recommend them to work with friends, family, and anyone else that needs their services. Thank you PTP!
Susan and Tina have been awesome to work with so far. They are attentive to my concerns each visit and thorough about helping me reach my goals. The practice cares about your comfort and privacy.
Barbara and Coleen gave me my life back. Barbara went beyond kind and caring and became an advocate for my health. With their help I feel better than I have in many years, and my doctors are treating me for the condition I really have rather than a generalized set of symptoms. I take a lot less medication and feel a thousand times better. They see the whole person and treat you accordingly. Highest recommendation for the entire staff.
I had a great experience at Physical Therapy Partners and would highly recommend this practice! Everyone I interacted with was helpful, friendly, and professional. The check-in/co-pay process with Diana was always smooth and she made me feel welcome. I had sessions with both Barb and Tina and they were both excellent. They made me feel comfortable and consistently checked in to make sure I felt comfortable with the information and exercises they provided. They are well-organized and from the very beginning they explained how to keep track of the handouts/equipment they provided and how to continue with the therapy at home. I felt that they both addressed my questions thoroughly and they adjusted the sessions to meet my needs, based on the feedback I provided each week. When I first began, Barb made suggestions based on my referral, but also suggested other services based on her expertise and the needs she observed. When I had setbacks and felt discouraged, they were supportive and Tina suggested implementing strategies she recently learned at a conference. They both went above and beyond, and I am so grateful!
PT Partners has an incredible staff of caring professionals...from the front office to each therapist. I have seen several of their therapists for back pain and jaw pain, as well as recovery after neck surgery. Each time they have helped me to fully recover. I never thought I'd get rid of my jaw pain but after 4 sessions I'm almost pain free....thank you!
I needed physical therapy and decided to try this practice based on the great reviews here. Physical Therapy Partners did not disappoint me. First of all, Diana, the receptionist, is a sweet heart. She is truly a warm spirit that made me feel very welcome. She always had a smile on her face and she was very patient. My therapist was the owner, Barb. She is a straight shooter that gave me her professional perspective and I like that. She was very clear on what she could deliver on in relation to the therapy I needed. She was always on time and very thorough. I enjoyed our talks and laughs but she was quick to redirect me if I got off course. She made sure I got my moneys worth. She would even give me extra time if she didn't have another patient after me. I enjoyed the old school office feel, unlike some large practices you feel like you're cattle being herded in and out. Nope not here. I definitely recommend Physical Therapy Partners and will be returning if I ever need therapy in the future.
Susan and Laura and all of the staff are excellent. They continually study and are the best. They are so kind and understanding and work with you throughout the session. I highly recommend Physical Therapy Partners!
My experience at Physical Therapy Partners has been life changing. Barbara Zabriskie and her staff are extremely skilled, compassionate, professional, and helpful! I'm so grateful to have found this practice and am very happy with the progress I've made. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of physical therapy, they are truly in a league of their own!
Many thanks to Physical Therapy Partners. They knew exactly what to do and helped me implement an exercise program that worked great. Lots of information was given specific to my issues and for general good health practices. They have given me many tools for healthier living and I highly recommend them. It was well worth the 45 minute drive for their services!
Very professional and knowledgeable staff giving great explanations about PT exercises and goals/objectives for each exercise
I have had physical therapy three times over the years and this group is by far the best. Laura and Brendan are both superb professionals who worked tirelessly with me to assist in my recovery from shoulder and neck pain. They have my highest recommendation.
This place does things right. Highly recommended. A few times over the last few years I've needed physical therapy for back and neck issues, I've had the most success with this office. Some physical therapy offices shuffle patients around and you feel like you are on an assembly line. Not here. The physical therapist takes time and focuses on each patient. They really do their job well. Now I just need to do my job and do the exercises they taught me!
I found Physical Therapy Partners Inc. to be a well-run, up-to-date practice. My therapist Dr. Tina Mjkrzak was communicative, competent, enthusiastic, and engaged in my therapeutic needs. I would strongly recommend PTP and Tina in particular.
I've been working with the team at PTP since major knee surgery seven weeks ago. The team has been amazing, knowing when and how to push, and when to back off. They've followed the doctor's somewhat conservative orders, but I've made great progress. Because of the frequency of my visits, I've had to see three different therapists, each of whom has provided a full hour of total attention on me! They also communicate well with each other so as to insure consistency of care.I highly recommend PTP!
I absolutely loved volunteering here. The attention and level of care the patients receive from all of the therapists amazes me everyday! The front desk staff are wonderful as well and really take care of you. Tina is so sweet, MJ is hilarious, Laura is incredibly smart, Barbara is a hoot! This practice does everything from incontinence to rehab after surgery. Everyone is fantastic, you can't go wrong!
The physical therapy at PTP was excellent. They helped me recover from a hip injury. The therapists were very knowledgable and gave me home exercises to do which were helpful. I would definitely recommend this clinic to anyone.
The staff at PTP are welcoming and efficient. They schedule a full hour for each session, so you get a lot of attention. My physical therapist was Barbara- who is caring, patient, and super knowledgeable. After my sessions with her, I am stronger and understand much more about how to take care of myself. Highly recommend!
I would give 6 stars if I could! Jennifer Santucci was so kind and listened to everything I said. She gave me hope and changed the direction of my life. Everyone in reception is so nice too! The referral to a wonderful therapist means I now have physical and mental supports. I am forever greatful.
I am happy to say that working with Barbara Zabriskie at Physical Therapy Partners in Columbia, MD changed my life, and my husband and I could not be happier!!! Our bodies change as we get older; activities that were once pleasurable and satisfying can become incredibly uncomfortable and downright painful. A nurse practitioner recommended Barbara because of her years of experience in helping women with pelvic floor issues. Barbara was very easy to talk to and made each session a fun learning experience. After each session, I left with educational handouts and homework assignments. I quickly realized that I was not alone and there are many women with similar issues. I decided to share my experience with others as often as I can because we don't typically talk about our pelvic floor and the importance of a healthy pelvic floor. I teach classes, and I talk about what I learned with my students, and I run with a group and share it with them as well. They now know that they are not alone and there may be help for them. Trust me; we've all heard that we should do Kegel exercises. However, it is possible to do too many. For women who are experiencing pelvic floor discomfort or pain, incontinence, constipation, etc. and you don't want to live that way I suggest you schedule a consultation with Barbara. Older, younger, if you haven't had children or if you have, it doesn't matter. You can still have issues, and you have the power to seek help! It has truly been a life changing experience for me, and my husband and I are thankful that I found Barbara.
The office staff is very professional. My experience working with therapist Tina was exceptional. I felt she adjusted treatments and exercises based on my feedback, abilities, and lifestyle. A very individualized treatment program and I will absolutely return to Physical Therapy Partners for any future PT needs.
I have been using Physical Therapy Partners since they originally opened and I literally cannot say enough good things about them. They are absolutely the best and unlike any other PT office I have ever been to.
I had an excellent experience with my physical therapist Tina and have already recommended her to a friend!! I also enjoyed my interactions with the front office staff!
I can't say enough good things about Barb. She is a great therapist and a genuine person. She puts you at ease and makes therapy "fun".The girls at the front desk are very nice and Tina who I saw when Barb was on vacation was very good as well. Don't look any further if you need any physical therapy. You won't be disappointed.
Physical Therapy Partners is amazing! I worked with Jenni to address pelvic floor issues (which I never knew was a thing) and it has been a life changer. Jenni has gotten me back to doing almost all of my normal workouts pre-baby. It has taken time and patience but the things I have learned and the progress that s been made was astonishing. From the front desk to the therapist, everyone in this office is friendly and ready to see you succeed.
Do not go there, the office is terrible and the billing lady is not responsible at all!!!!!!!! They will charge you for their mistakes!
I highly recommend Physical Therapy Partners. I had an injury which was seriously impacting my daily life. Keziah started me on very simple movements, which at first were difficult for me to do, but with time and practice, Keziah was able to move me to more advanced movements. Today my injury has very little impact on my daily life. Thank you Keziah!! I want to mention that I started therapy a few weeks before the COVID shutdown. Some weeks later Keziah contacted me and said we could resume therapy remotely. I was skeptical (I only had an I-phone with which to work) but the app they use worked perfectly! I'm so glad I completed my therapy.
Barbara Zabriskie at Physical Therapy Partners Columbia MD is one of the most caring physical therapists around. From the first meeting to the ongoing therapy I have been impressed with the level of care and kindness they have shown to my needs. She has listened to my questions and concerns and keeps me involved in the decision making process. Thanks for taking the time to care. I would definitely recommend Physical Therapy Partners. Thanks again
I had a wonderful experience at Physical Therapy Partners! After my twin pregnancy I had Diastasis recti and some back pain. Tina was my PT and she was amazing! I now have barely any stomach separation and I feel so much stronger! She gave me so much information that is helpful for now and future pregnancies!
I've had a persistent knee injury from running that's caused me pain for almost 2-3 years now. I'd gone to multiple doctors and PT places where I live in Virginia Beach and nobody seemed to be able to fix my issues. With just 2 visits to PTP I've already felt such improvement. Not only did they have me do specialized exercises to evaluate any muscular issues, they also watched me run on a treadmill to ensure that my running form was not causing further injury. They are an injured runners guardian angel!
I had a wonderful experience working with Barb Zabriskie at Physical Therapy Partners. She was so warm and friendly and KNOWLEDGEABLE! I came in very anxious about my issues and she helped me so much. I finished my time there feeling much stronger, healthier and armed with a plan of action for my life. I can't recommend her enough!!
Physical Therapy Partners did an excellent job for me. I had two knee replacements. Their encouragement and assistance made my recovery go very smoothly and quickly. I have periodic consultations every few years to refine my physical Mobility. You couldn't find a more professional and caring group. I am very grateful to them.
I highly recommend Physical Therapy Partners in Columbia, MD. Extremely satisfied. Worked with Tina and Laura and have achieved remarkable improvement with my back pain in a short time. They are very professional and I always felt energized walking out. The most important lesson I learned was using good mechanics in my everyday life. The entire staff is outstanding.
I have seen several therapists over many years. They have each been excellent therapists and very knowledgeable. Each therapist has taught me different ways to decrease pain and to stay healthy. I truly do not know where I would b e at this point in my life without them. They have helped me function at the highest level possible. This is a practice that gives very personal care to their clients.
I was referred by my provider to see Barb. She and her staff are very compassionate and knowledgeable. Highly recommended. Thank you so much again for taking care of me. Very welcoming and clean practice. Felt safe to get my care in middle of pandemic.
Very clean office with friendly and helpful staff! My physical therapist Keziah did an incredible job helping me and I'm very thankful for her service. Highly recommend this office especially for women's health.
Can't say enough wonderful things about this PT practice. I mainly worked with Laura but Tina was also great. I am not usually someone who finds benefit in PT nor follows through with the exercises. However.. Laura was so inspiring and helpful she made me want to come back and work hard to get better! I have also now re-joined the gym and working on becoming a more physically fit person. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Laura for your help and inspiration. Would never go anywhere else for PT!
I've been to PTP for a number of issues. Their care and treatment of me has been outstanding. It's definitely not a paint-by-numbers approach. My whole being is taken into consideration. I highly recommend them.
Barb and her practice were recommended to me by my gynecologist for work on my pelvic floor. A can not say enough about my experience here. From the first rate office staff to the level is of care I am receiving it s a first class company. What impresses me the most is that they realized that my weak pelvic floor was more then just that. They assessed my posture and chronic back issues are contributing to my issues. We started on biofeedback for my pelvic floor with dignity and care. I never felt embarrassed or weird about any of it. The women here truly care about my health and pain. They work with me and reach me how to manage my issues. The education I ve received regarding my inconsistence has been life changing.
Physical Therapy Partners is an exceptional find if you are seeking a smaller, personalized, highly knowledgeable and professional environment for therapy. Fully equipped and expertly staffed, Physical Therapist Laura Flynn and her peers guided my mother back to full function after her medical event and hospitalization, ascertaining her 'next step' week after week, teaching her to focus, making her aware of certain limitations, and giving her confidence that, yes, she could still walk and maneuver safely and independently. That is a priceless result. Thank you to Laura and all at PTP. I recommend them highly and most enthusiastically. Sincerely, SJamaris
Update: The owner of the practice researched the payment issue and called me back promptly to let me know why this had happened with my insurance and my payments I had already made. It turns out my insurance is treated differently than most out of network insurances due to it being a federal insurance. I was owed a refund according to my EOBs, and no additional amount. Everything has been resolved. I changed my rating back to a 5-star review based off my initial experience during therapy with Barb and Tina, and I highly recommend PTP for any post-pregnancy pelvic floor and diastasis issues. Original post: I came to the practice because it was recommended by a good friend of mine. They were out of network for me, and prior to starting therapy, I understood I d be paying a co-insurance of $50 each visit, which I was okay with because I really liked my therapists, Tina, and Barb, and really liked that they offered biofeedback for my pelvic floor issues. I was told they d check how much was covered after some of the billing had gone through, and that any amount I was owed would be refunded to me. Along the way, twice, I asked about he payments to make sure they were accurate. My EOBs has gone through, and said I should owe around $35 per visit. Each time, I was told the same thing, that I would be reimbursed the difference. The thing that really left a bad taste in my mouth was that over a month after my last session, I called to find out whether I d be refunded. Judy told me the balance was showing $0, but that she d look into it and call me back. Well she did call back. She left a message, and she told me I owed nearly $600! I called her back to see if there was a discount or negotiated rate that could be applied and she said she d talk to the owner. I never received a call back after that, just another bill. I did get a discount, but it says I still owe $500. This is on top of $550 I ve already paid for my 11 visits, and my insurance had paid approximately $80 per session. This is insane. I really wonder if I would have received any bill at all if I hadn t called, myself. I also really would have appreciated the billing being checked after each EOB went through (my first visit was in April and my last was in August ). This would have affected my decision to be treated here. My summary is, if you are in network, go see Tina! She is a truly caring therapist and great to work with. She was even willing to stay late if there weren t any appointments available for me to see her. Barb was also good. I learned a lot from the two of them about what I need to do to keep my pelvic floor and diastasis issues from bothering me. BUT, if you are out of network, it is not worth the expense and the headache of trying to get things straightened out.
I was very pleased with the treatment and professionalism of the group, especially Barbara.
Amazing. For my nerve entrapment problem Susan began treating me--not just treating the problem. This approach makes me want to do the stretching, strengthening, transforming exercises which, in her hands, are making me better. Visits are productive. Staff are all open and friendly. Wow! May find it hard to get on schedules--persistence pays.
The people at Physical Therapy Partners are wonderful! The staff is very friendly. They are flexible with appointment times, and my appoints always start promptly. My therapist, Susan, is both knowledgeable and personable. She is easy to talk to, and she does a great job of guiding you through the various moves and exercises. Susan also has a knack for explaining the complex workings of muscles, etc. in a way that is understandable. She tracks my history, progress and goals while continually adjusting the sessions and exercises to match my needs. I came to Physical Therapy Partners with neck and headache issues which Susan has virtually eliminated. I am ecstatic about the progress we have made, but Susan's objective is no pain and no headaches! She wants the absolute best for all her patients. Unlike other physical therapy and chiropractic firms; PTP's practice isn't designed to sell you on weekly office visits. PTP is designed to make you better, and give you the tools to maintain the improvements on your own. You are encouraged to visit as often as you gauge necessary, but no more. It is a unique and effective practice. I highly recommend it to anyone.
Physical Therapy Partners is a Breath of Fresh Air . I found the staff to be friendly, caring and provided patient focused therapy with empathy and expertise. Not only did they address my hip/shoulder issue but I gained a whole new insight on continuing self care including daily exercises, diet, posture, proper shoes, etc.
Tina is an incredible physical therapist. She clearly is passionate about her work and wonderful to work with. I had been to physical therapy for this issue in the past without much success. Working with Tina I met all my treatment goals and got back to a quality of life I wasn t sure was possible. Would highly recommend this practice and Tina!
I just finished my pelvic floor physical therapy program with Barbara Zabriskie at Physical Therapy Partners in Columbia, MD. Barbara was wonderful. Very knowledgeable, sensitive and caring. I am amazed at how much progress I made through the course of my treatments. Barbara explained everything very well and provided handouts to take home. The office is neat and clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. I loved the scheduling reminders. Parking was always plentiful. I highly recommend Barbara and Physical Therapy Partners.
Laura M. Flynn, PT, CLT-UE Physical Therapy Partners, Inc. Medical Arts Building 11085 Little Patuxent Parkway Suite 207 Columbia, Maryland 21044 Dear Laura, This letter is totally spontaneous on my part, and has not been solicited by anyone. Dr. Hugh H. Trout, III, M.D., in referring me to you, said: Laura is terrific, and is well worth the trip to Columbia. He was absolutely right. I have greatly benefited from your services. My legs are now slender and free of venous edema and lymphedema. It takes a professional to judge another professional, and hence here is my take on Laura Flynn: You pursue clinical excellence in dispensing your high degree of expertise and temper the delivery of your well-honed skills with overt empathy and a discreet manner. With respect to Physical Therapy Partners, and its staff, it is an extremely well-organized and very user-friendly outfit. The office exudes friendliness and courteousness. The office environment, cleanliness, comfort and ambiance are easily noted and provide one with a good and warm feeling rarely experienced in rehabilitation centers. Congratulations and kudos to you and everyone at Physical Therapy Partners.
