Central and easy to access, the MCEC has many different room sizes and capacities. Good facilities for large and smaller conferences.

Huge space! This convention and exhibition centre is great - there are enough halls here to have two full exhibitions at a time, and then some! I was happy with the time I was here for the Arnold Classic!

The Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre is the name given to three adjacent buildings next to the Yarra River in South Wharf, an inner-city suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The venues are owned and operated by the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Trust. Following the opening of its expansion in 2018, Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre regained the status as being the largest convention and exhibition venue in Australia and one of the largest spaces in the southern hemisphere. The total size of the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre is 70,000 square meters. The venue consists of 63 meeting rooms, outdoor courtyard spaces, a Plenary that can be divided into three self-contained acoustically separate theatres, the Goldfields Theatre a 9,000 square metre multi-purpose event space with a retractable 1,000-seat theatre and 39,000 square metres of pillarless exhibition space. In 2017/18, 1,124 events were held at Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. These events attracted 950,385 delegates, including 23 international conventions involving 28,750 delegates and 34 national conventions which attracted 38,626 delegates. In 2018/19 Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre contributed more than $1.10 billion in economic impact to the state of Victoria.

Went to PAX AUS at this place. There's heaps of space, nice theaters, easy access to local restaurants and food.
This is the main venue for large conventions held in Melbourne.
Best place for organising any kind of exhibition or big events. It can run at a time multiple events. The exhibition hall can be easily partitioned based upon the area required. Also the location is very beautiful in front of the Yarra river.
Melbourne convention and Exhibition center is always a great place to show cast your products or if you are a visitor, this is the place full of excitement with latest information. All year round with different exhibitors.
A huge place that hosts multiple conferences at the same time. They have multiple cafes inside in addition to all required facilities such as accessable bathroom, prayer room with multiple cafes and restaurants nearby

Not a great place. Expect to spend 20 minutes wandering around aimlessly attempting to follow scarce signage only to find what you're looking for is in a complete other building despite the signage not indicating such.
A large space for conferences and conventions. Excellent central location with abundant accommodations available locally. Layout quite confusing, if not for the friendly staff always happy to help with directions.
No one guided me properly to the main venue site and missed the booked event
Great place for Conferences, Exhibitions etc. Easier to get around, sufficient parking if you decide to drive.
World class convention centre. Very experienced, very capable, can bring anything to life.
Exhibitions are great for getting ideas and plans. Exhibitors are usually very helpful in putting your ideas in to practice. The exhibition staff are always helpful if you have any queries.
Awesome place, very big and the main auditorium is simply amazing.
Excellent venue to attend conferences and exhibitions. The parking is super expensive though. I recommend parking at Crown Casino....much cheaper! It is easy to get to by public transport as the tram stops right out the front. (Grab the 96 from Southern Cross or the number 12 from Collins Street)
Attended "Blue Planet" hosted by Joanna Lumley with Melbourne Symphony Orchestra backing. What a spectacular! Joanna certainly knew the subject area well introducing segments (without notes) in a highly informative & knowledgeable manner. The Orchestra was outstanding too. A wonderful and very comfortable venue for an outstanding event although I would like it to have a bigger screen more appropriate to the size of the facility for such events
Parking absolutely sucks. Prices are a rip off. The main centre is good though but all you can think about is how much you're paying pet minute while sitting down
First off its warm so tick. Spaces are large, toliets pleantiful, seating could do with an upgrade (more of and more comfortable), easy to naviagate. Overall good venue.
Great venue for Expo's right in heart of the city with parking below at reasonable rates for all day.

Decent large event venue with well maintained facilities. Not as stuffy inside as other venues get. Could do with some chairs against the walls of the event centre or outside near the steps. lots of people had to sit on the steps.

Venue was clean and pretty large. Came to see the Bookology Bootcamp, what a rip off! Unless you're gullible and naive but still want to sell books to promote your business, then you probably had a good time. I feel bad for authors who have to compete with this nonsense. Shame on you all for being so greedy. Shame on MCEC for promoting such anti-Australian practices.

On a 43celcius day the air-conditioning was amazing.
Great place. Enormous open span building created to house exhibitions in the heart of Melbourne. Been around for about 30 plus years now and still looks modern and contemporary. Easy access via train, tram, and car. Surrounded by numerous accommodation venues and Crown Casino Public car parking and Disabled car parking. Public and disabled toilets / rest rooms located inside. Is a wheel chair friendly facility. Has free WIFI.
It s a great space! Loved the Mind, Body and Spirit festival they had there!

Amazing building. It s absolutely huge I have been there a few times,you come to appreciate the architecture. Also lots of great shows.
Great venue, good location and great transport options
It is a magnificent building with wonderful views all around. But the seats inside the Lecture room were so packed that I did feel very comfortable with the layout. The rows are many but the gap between rows are narrow and the personal space between seats is very narrow also. I think they should redesign the seating arrangement for all lectures.
Huge. But the staff were very helpful and happy to point us in the right direction. Also very nicely maintained building, inside and out. Very close to local hotels and eateries right on the waterfront
Massive and modern convention and exhibition centre. Good facilities including a cafe and vending machines for essentials like powerbanks, adapters, etc.
A great venue for all sort of events. Though my personal experience was limited to concerts (two, to be precise), the place proved to be exceptional, with plenty of room to house a few thousands and amazing acoustics (the concerts were classical, which isn't the easiest music to cater for). The building on itself is beautiful, super modern and very well located, with easy access for cars, bikes and through public transport (tram 96 is ideal, right from Bourke St).
Incredible vibe, amazing atmosphere and an excellent sense of open space. Would highly recommend for any expo organisers as well as attendees.
