Absolutely horrible hospital, bad experiences, unprofessional staff, misdiagnosed, and over bills!

One of the worst hospitals I have been to in this country. All about profit...you can be half conscious in severe pain and the first thing they want to discuss is price. Equipment is severely outdated and borderline illegal. MRI machine is a lemon. Unless you have a LIFE THREATENING emergency and you are in Los Alamos, go somewhere else. Doctors are there for the pay check and very very pill happy.

The receptionist that handled my call was extremely rude. This is unfortunate, because her poor behavior and temperament is the first impression that people get when calling the hospital. Maybe hire a receptionist that isn t miserable and actually wants to help?

If I could give this medical center zero stars I would. They do everything in their power to keep their patients sick. I ve been repeatedly hung up on and denied medical help. Surgical referrals have been rejected repeatedly and I have waited days for a simple call back. This is no place to go if you require ACTUAL medical help.

The nurses in the ICU here were absolutely outstanding, going above and beyond in their care for our family member during a difficult time.

Super disorganized. They have been confused each time I have checked in, having trouble understanding or verifying that I had an appointment. This time, they thought I had been there the previous month, when I hadn't been there for over a year. They lost my order for routine screenings from my general practioner and couldn't find his information despite me giving it to them several times and also giving them a URL to their web site.

Snapped my collar bone in half, payed for an ambulance and ER, and all they did was tell me
it was broken which i knew already seeing as it was sticking up , and give me a sling. my collar bone is snapped in half? would highly recommend driving to santa fe if you actually want a doctor.

It was a horrible experience all around. I used to go here for Dr. Power, who was great, but she left.

Do NOT go here for urgent care. They will charge you like you're in the ER and your bill will literally be 10 times what it would be at Trinity Urgent Care for the same thing.

Also, I got a really bad nurse practitioner once when I went to their urgent care. I had been around my sister who had pneumonia, and I caught whatever she had. Same symptoms a couple weeks later. Instead of giving me something to help (like my sister got from her doctor), the NP told me it was "allergies" (I don't have allergies here in January, only in the spring) and basically told me to get lost. Ridiculous. Will never, ever come back.

Went for a CT scan and paid upfront, I then got a another bill two weeks later from XRANM. Why should I have to pay two bills? If the hospital uses another company for help then they should pay that another company. This hospital enjoys extorting the residents of LA.

I went to Los Alamos medical center, earlier this week. I ve had a problem for 5 years & after going to about 14 different doctors in Albuquerque & not receiving the care I needed, I had to go to los Alamos. The doctor in dermatology gave me a diagnosis & cleared up problem in a matter of 3 days. I will forever be grateful.
