Balcony room on 2nd floor. Balcony was great. However the room was a disappointment. It was clean, but not fabulous in any way. Using the bathroom is shared experience with no noise privacy. The sink is in not in the bathroom and is outside of the toilet. It s an odd setup that screams efficiency. No complimentary or even pay-to-eat/drink items in the room. Convenient location, but you will pay for that by having a room that will be outclassed by a typical dorm room.

I booked a 4 night stay here because of its central location. Rooms are nice and amenities are pretty good. I stayed in room 908 the first two nights, but couldn t sleep at all... There was a rolling noise above me that sounded like a trolley cart or suitcases rolling across the floor. This happened from 12pm-3am, and then from 5am-7am. Not only that, but the chrome cast was broken so I couldn t watch anything on tv.

Then we changed to a quieter room in 704 but the reading lamp doesn t turn on... So many issues at this point. Only one night left but I m so disappointed staying in this Hyatt. The only reason why I m giving 3 stars is because the staff were absolutely amazing and patient in helping me.

Overall, we had an excellent experience, especially given the circumstances with covid. we had food and drinks at their restaurant and it was also an excellent experience. I do want to call out one person in particular who made our stay outstanding. Anton, at the front desk, was exceptional and went way above and beyond to ensure our trip was spectacular! Thank you!!

I m still trying to figure out how this hotel has a 4.4 rating from guests. The room was just mediocre - the linen and bathroom towels, etc had spots and stains - the bed linen also had stains and felt icky. I ve never been so ready to be back in my own bed at a hotel. And to think I paid more to be in this hotel.

The one plus is location. We stayed over Thanksgiving - Black Friday shopping was a breeze. In Union square and not too far from soho. The customer service was OK. Front desk was awesome.

Everything was pretty much closed (bar (library) and rooftop) but the restaurant was open - great drinks there and OK food.

Excellent hotel and location. You have whole foods, movie theater, historic park, subway station, pharmacy and max Brenner's all within a couple of blocks. Loved our stay here in their clean, cozy and good sized room. Good bathroom. We stayed at a couple of hotels near empire state before within similar price range; however; they are no match in any aspect other than location. Would definitely consider this hotel for our next NYC visits.
