Awesome nature center! The new facility is wonderful and provides great views of the Cedar River valley area. Walking trails through the woods are great year-round. Wide variety of wildlife and vegetation. Unique place located within the urban area. A true gem of the Cedar Valley.
I've never been in the nature center building, but the trails around in are very nice for a quiet hike, or jog.
Very fun at the maple syrup festival with my son and we both enjoyed the walk along the talks after eating.
An excellent place to go for nature walks. The Nature Center itself is an interesting place to visit.
Always a great time at Hartman Reserve. Forgot bug spray, got a little gnatty in the lower areas.
Love Hartman Reserve. Been going there my whole life. Hadn't been there in about two years and went on my birthday a week ago. Still is the one place where I can decompress and just relax and leave all my stressors behind.
This is a wonderful beautiful place to go for a hike or a walk or run you pick your choice but it's beautiful

Beautifully Maintained Educational & Natural Preserves
Very relaxing walk. Lots of flowers out in May. Got stared at by some deer, lots of squirrels running around, and many birds singing. They are reworking some of the trail So you do have to go down by the main area with the sugar shack to get to most trails.
I haven't experienced all of the activities there but the nature trail is GREAT!
Great place for exercise and great views, but some issues with security
Had a wonderful time at the annual pancake and real maple syrup event. Great reserve in our community. Super people involved in all aspects of operations.
Newly rennovated! Nice trails for jogging, and they connect to a bike trail. Great place!
Hartman is the best place in cedar valley to go hiking by far!

Very nice trails that are well maintained. There were lots of mosquitos due to the proximity of the river and some small ponds, but other than that I would recommend hiking here any day of the week!
Anyplace that homes the blue spotted salamander gets my vote!

Wonderful new facility was opened in the last year. Great place to take the kids to explore nature.
Went to a wedding there. The outdoor surroundings are great. Only shortcomings is the lack of adequate parking. The new building is very nice with a kitchen if needed.
Nice quiet park with well maintained hiking trails. It's a nice place to take the kids. They are currently remodeling the visitor center so we didn't get to go in. Looks nice from outside though. Lots of kid friendly activities.
Came here for a class field trip. Staff was very nice and were able to keep the attention and control of a bunch of crazy 1st graders! Lots of trails. Nice nature center.
Great family adventure!!!Took the grandkids and they loved it.The staff goes out of their way to make it a special time. They let them collect from the trees to help make syrup.
I have somebody I know that lives near there and they have heard eery noises and unexplained foot steps at night and several demonic growls and screams
Beautiful place, I love coming here whenever I get the chance. This place is great to go for long runs and bike rides throughout the day. I also come here occasionally for fishing after it goes raining.
Its local and it's a literal breath of fresh air! Beautiful scenery and family friendly.

A very pleasant location in a less-than-enthralling area (Cedar Valley). The new visitor center is quite nice. They offer terrific educational programs.

So peaceful and serene. My four year old loved the view, and the interactive learning exhibits.
This nature reserve was really nice. We had a large group and the staff was great. We got to see and learn about some of the animals up close. Very clean. Went for a hike on one of the trails and we saw a deer. Highly recommend checking this place out if you have kids or need an inexpensive activity!

Awesome park directly in the middle of an urban setting. Good place to visit in the midst of a busy day to catch your breath and renew your spirits.

Very nice experience to get away from the city, to relax and look around, explore, and enjoy nature. It would be great if there was a toilet somewhere though.
Very nice Nature Center. Parking is somewhat inconvenient but not a game changer
