DO NOT BUY A HH HOME!!!! New or used. They cut structural corners and poor land stability. Most subs have sub workers who are not verified citizens and have no ramifications to bad work.
I've built a total of 3 homes each with a different builder. H&H was by far the best. Best value. Best attention to detail. Quality materials and construction. Their customer service is second to none.
My wife and I purchased a new home in the Lakes at Plantation Pines community in Longs, S.C. through the H&H Home Builders. We closed on our home in January of 2021 and it's been a nightmare. If you are looking at purchasing a new home from H&H please beware. Everything they do is cheap from the yard through the kitchen appliances plus the quality of their workmanship is terrible.
We went under contract but had to terminate due to them not responding and the house layout wasn t what we signed for. We got delayed multiple times (5 months) due to vandalism and stolen items.
If trying to buy through H&H, do not go through Blake Jarret. He is very incompetent. As he is their salesperson for the area, we called him several months ago to look at some houses and he agreed to meet us. On the day we were supposed to meet, he never showed up and when I called him, he said he forgot. Fast forward two months we called again very interested in a home, asked him some questions about the house, and told him our realtor would be contacting him. Our realtor contacted him and got the lender information and Blake told our realtor there was no rush because there wasn t any other interest in the home. Our realtor showed us the home and we were ready to submit an offer; all we wanted was to get a copy of the landscaping plan. Blake Jarret repeatedly ignored our realtor s phone calls for 3 days and when he finally returned his calls, told him that someone else submitted an offer and the house was under contract. He knew we were going to submit an offer and didn t bother letting us know so that we could counter while seemingly playing us by ignoring our realtor s calls.
H&H's PURL Series of Homes are an EYESORE! The exterior architectural designs of these homes purposely look terrible to lower our property values, not to mention their shoddy work and materials used on their homes is also telling. Do not recommend them at all
No one from the company will respond to my phone calls or emails regarding issues/difficiencies with the home built last year.
Left us with a leaking roof and damaged ceiling. No show 3 times and still have not come out to fix their poor quality of work.
We had numerous errors during the building process and never had direct contact to H&H homes. Our realtor and our lender were the only people that helped us during this process with the issues that we experienced. We had paint spilled on our carpet and they didn t fix it. We had paint spattered all over the rugs, bath tubs, showers, countertops, etc. We had a piece of our wall cut out that wasn t supposed to be cut, we had someone step through our garage roof, we had the staircase enclosed when it wasn t meant to be. We had the wrong fans installed and had to show them proof from our selections paperwork in order to get it fixed, in which we are still waiting for one fan to be replaced. We are still waiting on our cabinet to be replaced that they cracked twice during the installation process. We are also waiting on our USB outlet that we chose during selections. We had to point all of these issues out for them to fix it. We have only been in the house for a month and we have one breaker that continuously trips. We also have really poor water pressure. Certain excrements don t flush because it s so bad. Overall H&H homes sells beautiful layouts but the materials and process is atrocious.
Building and buying from this builder is a JOKE! from day one dealing with Jenny has been the most troublesome experience, she doesn't return calls or give answers and lies about everything, It does not matter how many people I've tried to get involved, seems that everyone above Jenny is a Joke and doesn't care to even return calls about anyone or any complains. We were told as stated on your website and advertising that the backyard would be seeded and the front would be Sod, well they only did half and of the back yard and didn't care to step up and uphold them selfs to advertise promises ( false advertising) Now that I am in the house I realized the drafts and how some rooms will get extremely cold than the others. The fireplace company has never come out to do the original set up of the fireplace and we moved in on Dec 12,2020, although they tell you that you only have 30 days to get it set up.... I wonder when they will come out to do it? one of the electrical outlet keeps blowing off the whole entire garage outlets and the ridiculous electrician that came out told me that he never seen this issue and tried to tell me that it was because of a long cord or some nonsense and left and no one has even made an attempt to come back and fix my garage outlets so here I am with $350.000.00 home and running extensions from the inside to the garage just to keep my freezer running. the extended warranty is the biggest joke. Everyone of us in this development have major issues, we have been here without internet and nor way for a provided to come out and do installations, Jenny( Remax Realtor) lied and mislead everyone of us that there were no issues with any utilities but here we are with kids needing to attend school in the middle of a pandemic and not being able to have them attend, quality is horrible all of my door jams were not sanded before painted. you need to fire everybody and star fresh. people from the top instead of listening to your concerns they create an argument with you and tell you that they know their employees and that you are to be crazy for calling to file a complaint or find a solution to your issues( NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL!!!!!!. Only one person I had dealings with that I was pleased with Kalvin and no one else. Jenny the realtor needs to be fire, lying deceiving and no customer service manners at all. do not buy from this builder it will be an experience you will forever regret.
