Beautiful hotel and interesting historical decor throughout the hotel. The breakfast buffet was incredible with a great view.

Beautiful hotel and interesting historical decor throughout the hotel. The breakfast buffet was incredible with a great view.
Very VERY friendly staff! Great views, comfortable beds, and surprisingly good water pressure in the shower... This place was awesome
Gorgeous facility! The sprawling lobby is absolutely gorgeous with the large stone fireplaces. Great spot to sit outside and relax with a beverage. The grounds are beautifully maintained. The spa is impeccable.
The golf pros Simon and Frank shaved years of hardship off of my golf game. Super professional and service second to none by the entire staff.
Visiting Grove Park Inn is like stepping back in time! You will be treated to a truly exceptional experience!
Beautiful scenery. We went for the seafood buffet, and everything was delicious! Unlimited shrimp and crab legs were our favorite!
Exceptional property, location and staff. Enjoy a stay with history!
Magnificent resort. Wonderful facility and staff. Incredible location.
Gorgeous property. View from outdoor terrace restaurant was magnificent.
The Grove Park Inn Asheville NC never disappoints. This is one of the gorgeous hotels in Asheville. The staff in every corner of the Inn shows so much hospitality that its contagious. The mountain view is great! If anyone has time please enjoy the Spa. The Spa is a great experience I recommend anyone to try it.
A true American classic. History, architecture and exceptional service come together to create one of the greatest dining and resort experiences on earth.
Leshall Conklin is now at the Omni Grove Park Inn and she actually coordinated my wedding at a different venue. However, she was so incredible I wanted to review her on here so that all brides looking at Omni choose it because she is absolutely INCREDIBLE. I planned the wedding from two states away and Leshall made it so easy and as stress free as one could possibly be. Leshall kept everyone on schedule, kept the night going smoothly and even helped with decor on our wedding day. She is truly a talent in this business.Honest to goodness, you will only be pleased if you choose to work with with Leshall here at Omni. Reach out to me with any questions you may have :)
Beautiful. We went to see the gingerbread house displays. It was a lot of fun!
Way over priced and commercialized. Not romantic at all. The spa is expensive but maybe worth it given that you get access for the day. The rest of the staff though is very inaccomodatong and rude. For what we were paying a day in fees and room charges I expected much more. We were enjoying pizza fireside with some champagne at around 1 am. We were approached by the manager who told us we couldn't have the champagne in the lobby at that hour. Ok fine, but why did your room service just bring it to us then? Still, no problem, we handed over our glasses and requested some water. The manager continued to stand there and go on and on about why we couldn't have it even after the problem was solved. Then two cops who seemed to just be bored came over and threatened to take everyone to jail if we didn't go back to our rooms. I assure you we were not being loud our uncooperative. We are both professionals and mothers and simply wanted to sit in front of the fireplace. They could have just told us the lobby was closed and we would have been happy to oblige. But at 700 a night I think you should be able to enjoy a fireplace and your pizza at any hour. Finally, upon returning home I realized I had forgotten my pillow. I called the resort and they said they would call me back because they were "short staffed". Ok. Finally they called back and let me know they had found it. They said they would ship it but needed a credit card for payment! Really?! After spending almost 2k for two nights they want to charge me to send my pillow? I've stayed at 3 star hotels who not only shipped my left behind items back for free but took the initiative to call me to let me know something had been forgotten. Overall...it's just not worth it. Commercial and bad customer service. I won't be back.
Great location! The amenities were great. But not many employees were friendly or engaging.
Beautiful historical Inn but the new additions kinda cheapen the overall experience. Omni built 2 " legs" parallel to one another on the FRONT and wiped out the view of Mt. Mitchell. Don't get me wrong, it continues to be a wonderfully romantic destination but the Grand Bohemian in Biltmore offers the same interior environment.
Great location, personnel went out there way to make the stay great. Not sure if the value equals the experience.
Upon arrival, No one greeted us or offered to help with bags or even the door. Went inside and despite 3 EE's at front desk helping just 1 customer, no one offered to help. Finally got one EE to help but she "didn't have authorization to change our reservation" when I wanted to upgrade to a nicer room.
Despite telling them that no one had even tried to help with bags, they let us struggle off to find our room/handle 7 pieces of luggage ourselves. Our room was on 3 rd floor but that's a ride DOWN because the lobby is on 8th floor???
Dogs barking at 6am but we rolled with it and didn't want the major hassle of packing back up and changing rooms.
Bar and restaurant prices are way too high for the quality and level of service. Or: wife's tiny mimosa was maybe 4 oz of OJ/champ but was $13 before taxes and gratuities.
On a positive note, the spa was big and nice if you don't mind climbing a lot of stairs. It also was $600+ for 3 ppl single treatments all in with auto/forced 30% gratuities.
This place is seriously riding on its past laurels and is way overpriced and understaffed. (I started to take a pic of the meeting area worker playing with his cell). Meeting room prices apparently don't include table service(both breakfasts and dinners were self serve/buffets...nor do dishes get removed. They are too busy playing with their cellular devices. Not even coffee is served....a pitcher is slapped in the middle of the table.
Asheville is ok but surely there are nicer places to stay closer to downtown / Biltmore/ attractions and/ or airport. I have 2 dogs, a cat and 2 hens at home but I don't think fine hotels and dogs go together and will not be sleeping ever again in the bed that a strangers dog slept in last night.
We stayed hear back on April. 28.2019..This was First time staying hear. The location was perfect right in Asheville, NC. The staff was wonderful very help full. The only thing that i would say is the our room was but felt dated and the view was not bad. . If you are staying hear. You have great Service form staff . The grands are really nice and beautiful .
Totally not worth the price. Been going here over 20 years. Gone way down hill
Horrible people that answer phones. "Mark and others." Transferred and put on hold indefinitely many times.tried from cell phone, house phone, and even the front desk to get transferred to the spa. Never got thru to anything. Ended up going to the spa and finding three employees just standing there.
They never got a phone call.I am a black level member of omni and also a member of the the hotel. Dont appreciate this horrible treatment. Need to get your act together. Will return, but not happily.
Great spot. Bartenders in the main bar are jerks but other than that it is a great place!
One of the best hotels i visited. Views are great from lobby. Gigantic fire place.
Absolutely beautiful hotel with maintained historical architect. Customer service was flawless. It is not the most affordable but they provide every possible service on site with multiple restaurants and locations for live music. A great place for a retreat.
Absolutely beautiful. Well worth staying on the club floor. The service and food were absolutely phenomenal. The spa is beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing. I would not recommend the Edison restaurant though. Food was not great.
We had a wonderful experience at The Omni Grove Park Inn. Plenty to do, gorgeous views and a variety of dining options made our stay enjoyable. Asheville is such a neat town and this resort is really a gem. I highly recommend you book your trip soon!!!
Incredible facility with impeccable service - it was truly an unmatched experience. We enjoyed every moment and plan to return!
Great views of mountains. Drinks were good but overpriced.
An amazing place to stay! The rooms are very comfortably appointed. The hotel lobby is beautiful. The spa is unbelievable! I highly recommend visiting and enjoying your stay here.
Absolutely stunning inn! Make sure you watch the sunset and take time to learn the history of the grounds.
Thank you for a wonderful weekend!! .... as my son chose Omni Grove Park Inn as his place to propose last Friday. It was such a fantastic experience .... the staff was so supportive & many of them went over & beyond to ensure the More
Magnificent hotel, with a grand foyer. The staff is great. Food and souvenirs are way overpriced but the views make up for it.
Very big, very dark historic hotel/spa/resort of the "Shining" variety. Beautiful setting on a large hillside overlooking a valley with the mountains on the other side. Very expensive. The service is of course, impeccable and from another era. From the elevator operators in the two historic elevators, to the expensive valet parking, to the bar and restaurants...service is top notch. We had a very favorable rate, so our room was a top floor corner room with low ceilings etc. I can't complain given the rate we got. I would recommend if you have a very high income and want to play a lot of golf or fully utilize the spa. Other than that, there isn't a whole lot to do here except hang out and spend money.
Went to a conference at Grove Park Inn. Great facilities, beautiful views. Tough on crutches, but luckily everyone is really nice.
Exceptional dining experience with glorious mountain view from the table.
Hotel is beautiful. Enjoyed our stay immensely and enjoyed the Gingerbread House displays. The weather was not so nice with lots of rain. Not hotel's fault. My only major criticism is that with the room rates that are charged that you get double beds and not queen beds.
This is one of those places that the atmosphere traps you, and when you leave you think it wasn't worth the money
Beautiful day out on the patio, friends, good wine, great service and Yummy food! Sirloin with grits qmwas EXCELLENT!
We had a wonderful stay at the Omni Grove Park Inn despite some of the restrictions because of the pandemic. Some of the restaurants were closed and others only allowed half capacity, but you could order "take out" to eat in your room. We ate at the Sunset Terrace, Blue Ridge and Edison. We ordered take out from Edison 3 times! There was no room service either. We spent a wonderful afternoon in there gorgeous spa. Our room had a beautiful view of the Blue Ridge Mountains and the golf course. My husband and I would open the windows to enjoy the view when we read books. It was a very relaxing stay.
Did not stay, but went to see it for the first time and was breathless! Would go if I could afford.
Beautiful location, we loved the views and atmosphere. Parking was challenging unless you paid for valet though
Very good, nice service and good food with only minor things to change
Blame it on Covid 19, maybe, but quality of food and service isn't all that.
Will try again...
Beautiful location and friendly staff. Hotel could use some renovations.
Was just visiting to see the gingerbread competition. The hotel is huge. I felt like I was at a Vegas hotel. The view was amazing on of their great Hall.
We were there for a meal. The service was great and a really liked our server
Beautiful! A glass of wine on the sunset terrace is a must.
Amazing property. History abounds in a drop dead beautiful place. Food and service all excellent.
Very beautiful and historic site. We just came to see it but hope to come stay sometime and play golf there.
Fantastic hotel, great ambience, great Sunday brunch.
Fantastic experience. Beautiful views and a great energy to the place. The staff is extremely helpful and will do everything they can to accommodate your requests. Food was delicious and they offered a wide selection of drinks. We went to Elaine's Piano Bar and the entertainment did not disappoint!
We stayed at this facility under the previous ownership and then when Onmi first took over and just stayed for Thanksgiving week. Things were not smooth just after the Omni takeover which is to be expected. Five years later, the place is running like clockwork, even over a chaotic weekend like Thanksgiving. The resort is more upscale now. The food is very good the alhough the menus are somewhat limited and of course the meals are pricey. The best restaurant and the best prices are at the spa cafe. The jewel of the place is the spa which is extraordinary and worth the price.
Amazing views, must stop even if you're not staying at the hotel! Staff was friendly, would consider coming back to Asheville just to stay here!
This review is for the tourists since we only toured there this time. Staff is very friendly from the start. THAT was surprising impressive. There are several sites for the tourists to tour. I'd suggest asking the front desk for the "self guide" tour paper which will prove to be just self sufficient. The view is outstanding period. Plenty of seating in front for those who need to rest. One of the regrets I had while vacationing in asheville is that we didn't stay over night here! Next time will!
Love the Arts & Crafts Conference at the Grove Park Inn. There is no place like this.
We ve stayed in The Grove Park Inn 4 times now. Our previous stays were fabulous. Our visit in 2019 has been disappointing. No one indicated in any of the multiple emails or phone calls that we needed to make reservations to eat dinner in the Inn. We ve always been able to go to one of the restaurants and be seated in a reasonable time. Now, we can t get in to the restaurants because we didn t make reservations. And the spa is impossible to use. I agree with a previous reviewer that when you pay the prices for the rooms, you should be able to use the amenities.
Disrespectful management. Event management treats employees as if they are expendable, with no respect and Without any clue what their employees Jobs and responsibilities are. Joe; head of banquets/Events does not know how to do his job appropriately and efficiently. this is why the survey asking how happy employees are working under certain management is the lowest in the Grove Park Inn. Very rude and disrespectful.
Very interesting place to stay with a lot of history!
Staff was great but expect to pay for every convience! The cost doesn't stop at the room price.
This resort was an unexpected surprise. The amenities are wonderful, the staff superb and the history amazing. I can see why there have been so many celebrity (and 1%) guests. I will be back!
One of the most beautiful hotels I've ever seen. The views of the mountains were breathtaking! I would recommend to anybody visiting the area.
Excellent service in the restaurant. We were a big group celebrating a birthday. Waiter handled our group with poise, grace and professionalism. Definitely would recommend.
Visited for a wedding, beautiful scenery and setting. Try the fireplace elevator!
BEAUTIFUL!! GREAT SUNSET VIEWS!! Had a great time seeing all the creative gingerbread houses. A nice time roaming around and taking in the views, shopping, and sitting by the fireplace.. can't wait to go back and stay for a few days!!
Wonderful experience! We highly recommend the Grove Park to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.
The staff exceeded our expectations. The extras my husband's received for his birthday was over and above anything i expected. He was very pleased and he is hard to satisfy on trips. Neither one of us can say anything bad about our stay. Thanks to the staff for making our first stay the best. We will be back.
Wwnt to the Omni Grove Park Inn for the ginger bread houses and was blown away! The place is beautiful with stunning views of the sunset. There are plenty of large stone wood burning fireplaces throughout the inn to keep the main areas warm even in the winter. The ginger bread houses were amazing! Would definitly visit again!
The history of the place, the view and the sports complex give it two stars. The food and service are well below what to expect at a good hotel.
It is over priced for the quality, or lack thereof, for food and service. If you want to wait an hour for a steak that is overcooked try Sunset Terrace! They will also write congratulations on your birthday plate when you ask for a special dessert for your wife s birthday. The special dessert is two small cookies! (What a joke).
Also, if you want to wait 30 minutes for a glass of Champaign; take the tram to the pool for guest that don t want to pay $90 to swim at the spa for a quick dip before dinner!
My recommendation is to stay at the Biltmore hotel and enjoy the winery and restaurants there. They were truly impressive with food quality and service!
We did not try the spa because of the poor service everywhere else in the hotel. If you can t get that right then I m sure the spa services would be a huge disappointment.
So sad, because it s a beautiful venue.
This was my fifth stay at The Grove Park Inn and I still love it as much as ever. Beautiful hotel with beautiful views, great staff and very conveniently located for seeing all the sights in the Asheville area.
A wonderful old style hotel. Service is impecable and food and drinks are excellent. This historic property is well maintained. The views of the mountains and area are impressive. The inn is not inexpensive, but guests will get the best service that they can imagine.
Decided to spend our one year anniversary at this beautiful resort! The room and views were perfect as if out of a postcard. I wanted to also thanking Beverly Brown and her crew for helping make our 1st anniversary one to remember.
Refuse to cancel reservations during a pandemic with months of notice! This place is trash.
