BEAUTIFUL hotel. Everyone is so friendly. The hotel is huge, so when I inevitably get lost, someone is always quick to help me find my way around. The views are amazing.

Words can not do this Landmark justice. Must see for yourself. I was awed from the time the Lift driver pulled into the grounds
Property is amazing - so historic and interesting. Very unique and beautiful.
Best resort and spa in NC. Won't want to leave. Spa is #1 in US. Wow and wonderful day it all. Great room had two massive fire places. Stunning sunsets. Booked Xmas 2017 already. Must see!!!!
We didn t stay here, just lunch on the back porch -fabulous! The food is great, the view is to die for. Don t miss lunch or late afternoon drinks on the back porch.
This hotel structure is a hand made work of art. You will understand my comment when you see it. This is the second most fabulous structure in town. The first of which doesn t need any introduction!
We went to view the gingerbread houses. The staff was friendly and helpful. Visiting the Grove Park Inn is always an exciting experience.
Location is great, beautiful view. Employees have been fantastic and the restaurants are wonderful.
Food was fantastic. Waiter Jose was wonderful, he was at our table with everything we needed before we had to ask.
The history, architecture and overall atmosphere is breathtaking.
Very Dissapointing. Went for Dinner on Christmas Eve night and 4 out 6 of us got ill after eating. Called and emailed them and no one ever returned my call. Was reading a few reviews that people posted similar and all they do is reply back with a canned message saying they will try harder.
Great looking lobby. Very poor sound - insulation in rooms, so bring earplugs for sleeping.
Great food. Great spa.
Hotel wings (later additions to historic structure) need updating.
I'd go again, but I wouldn't expect a good sleep. Might sleep elsewhere and spend time in the hotel lobby and spa.
From a seasoned traveler with over 1,500 hotel night stays... this historic Asheville hotel nestled in the Blue Right Mountians is a nice getaway. Staff are welcoming and very attentive to guest needs. Good food and drink can be had at its many restaurants. Views are amazing - particularly at sunset. So why not five stars? A comfortable night s rest would have been expected however was not possible due to old/outdated mattress and bedding and a room that ended up being too close to the elevator dings and people traffic. Bedding is below standards of even a mid tier hotel. And not close to the plush bedding advertised. Make sure you ask for a renovated room (if they exist) and something far away from the elevators.
Always look forward to seeing the annual Gingerbread Competition
Love the gingerbread house competition at Christmas time.
Most amazing place. If you're in the Asheville area this place is a must stop on a Friday or Saturday night they have a five-star Buffet on Friday with seafood and then it five star prime rib Buffet on Saturday nights I was lucky enough to be treated to this wonderful place for my birthday and they even gave me a special plate
We ate dinner at the Blue Ridge Dinning Hall. Food was amazing, staff was awesome, and the view was to die for. Highly recommend.
If you haven t had the pleasure of staying at this fabulous hotel, you really need to take the time and do so. You can watch a beautiful sunset as you are looking at the Ashville mountains. You can play a round of golf there. There are many different restaurants all of which you should enjoy, and at different price points. Make sure you leave some time for a trip to the wonderful spa that is built right into the mountain. You can swim in the pool and let the waterfall hit your tired muscles while you relax, or have a highly trained masseuse work on you. In any event, be prepared to pay for the rooms and the room service because this is a superb resort to stay at, so get away and enjoy!
Beautiful place, amazing architecture with a great viewing.
The hotel is absolutely gorgeous and a pleasure to stay at or simply visit. The fireplaces in the lobby and the views were extraordinary. While the guest room wasn't very impressive, I understand that you're paying more for the hotel amenities than the room itself. Still, I would've liked for the room to be more appealing. Everything was extremely clean and comfortable, and the different restaurants we visited were all excellent. We will definitely be returning in the future.
Add to your bucket list! Spectacular place. You won't be disappointed. I was lucky to stay in F. SCOTT FITZGERALD'S room. No, he didn't pay me a special visit.
I was so inspired from my visit here. The grandeur of the mountain view cannot be overstated.
Flowing terraces and gardens, and toasty hearths to warm throughout. I wish I could stay for a week and think long and hard about how to solve the world's problems---like so many great Presidents who came before.
The staff were very friendly to me as well, and even though I'm by *no means* a rich or famous person----I truly felt like one as I walked the majestic halls.
a wonderful place to sit fireside & enjoy a refreshing drink & recharge your skateboard while making music on a tablet then wandering outside for sunset & the incredible view of downtown Asheville & the magnificent mountains! everyone is kind from the patrons to staff & the food is delicious & I hear the spa is quite amazing too. highly recommended if you are in proximity or need a breather from the daily grind. salut!
Best hotel in Asheville! Always people around to help you! Go to the Spa.... it's heavenly!
Super relaxing, really enjoyed our stay at Grove Park Inn! Can t wait to be back again soon.
The staff, the food, the view, the spa, all exceptional
Beautiful grounds and amenities. Rooms are sub par and need attention, really not worth the money when there are much better options and a short ride away.
But the history of the establishment is the draw here.
Grove park itself is nice. It's not worth the money. Omni does not deserve any jd awards. I've stayed this year in hilton head, Jacksonville fl, and now here. Omni is overrated. There customer service is not worth the money you spend. Come have lunch, enjoy the spa, and stay somewhere else.
If you havent been you owe it to yourself to go, great food, awesome history.
My husband and I had the opportunity to get away from the kids for a night and Asheville is somewhere we frequent so I looked up romantic hotels and the Omni popped up on many travel sites because of the romantic spa ! After booking our non refundable room, I come to find out that you can only use the spa on Saturday s if you actually use the spa services. (You can t purchase a day pass.) Not what I was expecting but really wanted to experience the spa so I call to make a couple s massage appointment. The spa had nothing available so he gave me times that were hours between for single massages, which doesn t really work for spending time together. So we decided to make the best out of our stay forget the spa and enjoy the other amenities. The outdoor pool was nice but the thunder from passing clouds put a damper on that. So we relaxed in our room and then got ready for dinner. We decided to go to the Vue1913 for dinner. The service was exceptional but my meal the meat (short ribs) came out cold. They did take it back but my husband had time to eat his entire meal before I received mine back and although it was much better the second time it was cold in the middle. Alas, tuckered out we headed back to our room for the night. A room they switched us to when we arrived at check in time because our room was not ready . This room was located between the stairs and the evelvator and because of the age of the hotel you hear everything. So from the time we laid down at 11:30 to 2:00am the traffic in the hall was so loud we couldn t sleep. Twice someone thought our room was the door to the stairs and tried to bust through the door. Then right after 2:00 I became extremely ill from dinner. I spent the next two hours without going into too much detail in the bathroom of our small room being sick. Not the romantic atmosphere I was hoping for. Finally after 4am I was able to go to sleep. When we woke we decided to go down to breakfast, I was still a little queasy so I knew I wouldn t eat much but it was included in our stay package and my husband was excited so we went. The breakfast buffet was amazing. The manager showed us around and told us all about the many options. I just wish I would have felt better so I could have enjoyed it more. The only down side to breakfast is the waitress was gone at the end of our meal for over 20 min. So we left a tip on the table thinking we must not be getting a bill because it was included in our room. Well she chased us down at the front of the restaurant with our bill. Then took forever getting it rung up and back to us.
The Omni is a gorgeous Hotel with such rich history. The property is great with its scenery and shops. I really wanted to have a much more enjoyable time. We are pretty laid back and can usually go with the flow but I was so excited and when you re spending the money to have a better experience and it s just not anywhere near the level you were expecting I feel like I should say something.
The breakfast buffet was delicious and amazing for the price!
Awesome view . I need to come back on spring or fall.
My husband and I stayed at the Omni Grove Park Inn for our 5 year wedding anniversary trip. The whole stay was incredible from start to finish. The entire place was gorgeous, and the staff was so accommodating and friendly, especially Marilyn at the Sunset Terrace! She made us feel so special and she was such a joy to see each day! The spa is next-level! It's pricey, but worth every penny. We are already finding reasons to go back soon!
Very impressive service and vast amount of experiences and amenities
Went for a wedding. Spent lots of time at the numerous bars and balconies around. Service and waitstaff we're professional and prompt. Would definitely go again and check out the spa!
We went to the seafood buffet. It was fine. Pretty much the same choices as the brunch with a couple of exceptions. The drawn butter and the catfish were WAY too salty. But the price of a glass of wine was shocking. When a guest orders a glass of wine they should be informed that it will cost $21! Service was not as good as usual. Twice I had to go get my own empty plates for shells. Probably won't do this again. Especially because of the wine $.
.
Arts & Crafts Style is consistent throughout, and the craftsmanship is simply...Stunning, a fascinating building!!!!
Not much to say - one of the top places to stay in Asheville.
A must on any bucket list! The ambiance, food, and service are impeccable. We cannot wait to go back.
Top tier hotel and get away with multiple fantastic restaurants. I eat lunch at the Sunset Terrace every time I'm in town
Beautiful views and great history. My favorite location to enjoy the Blue Ridge scenery.
What a time my fiance and I had on our trip to Asheville! We stayed two nights at the Grove Park Inn in a room in the original part of the hotel on the 3rd floor, facing the spa and golf course, but really, facing those gorgeous Blue Ridge Mountains! We went in early June, and the climate in Asheville was so lovely that we slept with our windows open, while at the same time we controlled the AC in our room, which was very responsive. The room felt very clean and well-kept, the bathroom was lovely with a deep tub if you want a nice hot bath. We were there for sightseeing and relaxing vacationing, and didn't take advantage of the golfing.
The spa was the best part of the whole experience, felt like we were in a world-class place. If you come to Grove Park, you MUST go to the spa. However, even if you just want to swim in the pools (like we did), having a room at Grove Park does not grant you free access. You get a slightly discounted rate, but it's still extra. We took advantage of the Twilight rate (from 5pm to 9pm) at $50 each, and it was absolutely lovely. If you'd like to book any of the massages/treatments, book them in advance of your trip. When we arrived, they had no availabilities. But ohhhh, the place is worth it!
The restaurants are also amazing. We dined the first night at the Vue, I ordered the lobster ravioli and she ordered the burger. My God, that burger was the best I had ever eaten!!! The next evening we ate at the sports bar, and again, the view of the hills were amazing and the food was delicious! Expect to spend $30 - $40 per person. The morning we checked out, we ate at the breakfast buffet, which was very comprehensive and had omelets cooked to order. Nothing to really scream home about there, a bit better than Ihop or Denny's.
The concierge is helpful in scheduling day activities for you. We ordered our tickets to the Biltmore Estate, without any discounts, but at least saving us from visiting the ticket booth.
The Bad: Our trip was glorious, and Grove Park is a beautiful and historic destination, but I did have a few complaints and things I would have done differently. First, what you order when you book your reservation is NOT what you pay for when you check out. Remember, access to the spa is not included. There's the valet parking or self-parking, both are pricey (valet for us was $22 per night). And of course there's the infamous "Resort Fee," that extra $25 per night that is complete BS, allegedly granting you access to the Wifi, the sports complex, and the outdoor pool that is a 5 minute shuttle bus ride down to the golf course country club. So expect your check-out bill to be substantially larger than you expected.
If we had to do it all over again, we probably would lodge elsewhere and pay the extra amount to visit the spa. We stayed at the Pinebrook Manor B&B in Hendersonville 20 min south of Asheville, and not only was that much cheaper, but their beds were way nicer and comfortable than the Grove Park Inn.
Bottom line: go to Grove Park for the spa, enjoy the delicious food and gorgeous views, but stay overnight just once. Don't stay there your whole vacation.
This place is not good we got kicked out for no reason I thought this place was good well I will never come back there they are really rude
Beautiful Christmas decorations. Huge fireplace. Spectacular view. Eddie's Restaurant had great service and great food. A must visit.
A bit on the expensive side, but the views are top notch. Highly recommended to come see the sunset.
What a great experience! Between sitting by the fire enjoying a glass of wine, to waking up to a beautiful mountain view. Grove Park Inn is a destination you wont forget. My only word of caution is if you are tall... the building is older but is well kept. There are places tall people may have to be aware and duck such as stairwells, closets, door ways, etc.
The Gingerbread and history was very great but Elaine's was loud and the piano players weren't that great and my cocktail was not great.
Unforgettable stay at the Beautiful Omni Grove Park Inn! The rooms, the staff, the incredible Hospitality staff, the Food, and the Views make one feel super comfortable and luxurious. Thank you to the wonderful staff: their efforts, care, and concern made this stay unforgettable! Will Return! Love Asheville!
Great place for drinks at sunset. Wayne, the tennis pro, helped me improve my stroke immensely. :)
Wonderful experience. The staff was very accommodating and professional.
Valet guy was very rude and unprofessional towards us.
I was attending a professional event at the property, with colleagues. We had traveled there from about 90 minutes away, so we arrived early to enjoy dinner before our event. We dined at Vue. The service and food were excellent. The menu items are high-end, along with the price, but well worth it.
We had a fabulous time, and service was expedient at our request given we had limited time to dine. The views from this restaurant were very beautiful. There are several restaurants to choose from on-site. The Sunset Terrace is also a worthwhile stop for either dining or at least to pause and take in the amazing view of the mountainous horizon.
Highly recommend.
My family went to GPI today to celebrate my daughter's birthday. Had a wonderful brunch at the Blue Ridge Dining. The food was great and service was impeccable. The only negative was upon exiting the inn to the handicap parking spaces several employees were smoking directly outside the door. We were forced to walk through a cloud of smoke to get to the car. One of us coughed and in response one of the employees mimicked the cough and laughed. So our last impression of the day was negative. Why is smoking allowed right outside this busy exit?? Please stop this from happening to others. Very bad last experience.
Beautiful experience, we were there for the annual ginger bread house compaticion.
Awesome place. Like going back in time. Beautiful, great staff, great cuisine , relaxing. Don t miss the chance.
100% better now that Omni has it. Great place to go to for meetings or a refreshing visit in the mountains.
Absolutely breath taking sunset with my love ...felt like royalty. Loved the food and smiling faces !!!
The inn is a timeless place, where it is possible to lose yourself in luxury while still being able to enjoy modern conveniences. A rustic main lodge with enormous fireplaces and high ceiling opens to a hillside veranda with a vista of distant mountains and beautiful homes in the valley below. The staff is friendly and kind. Food and drinks are expensive, but on par with resorts. Our room was clean and well cared-for, but small for the price. The tour of the resort was worth the time. Resort is close to loads of hiking and outdoor recreation. Less than 15 minutes from downtown Asheville, which is pleasant for a city.
I travel quite a bit for both business and pleasure. This is by far one of the best lodging experiences I ve ever had. And the spa is second to none.
What a gorgeous magical place this lovely old inn is.
Beautiful especially at Christmas! All the trees, lights and decorations. Just make sure when booking your reservation you book your meals at same time..otherwise you'll be eating elsewhere
Visited today to meet family for lunch. Was impressed. Great view of mountains. Had trout lunch/dinner. Staff was very nice and all wearing masks. Bit expensive but everything we ordered was great so can't complain too much. Will be back.
We booked a weekend to spend some time relaxing at the spa. Upon check-in, it was confirmed that not only were there no spa appointments available, but that we couldn't even enjoy the spa pools and hot tubs. As hotel guests, for $500 per night, this was very disappointing. The spa is the only reason to spend the money to visit this hotel. The rooms are old and outdated, the restaurants mediocre and the views are nothing special. They need to make it more clear on their website that hotel guests cannot enjoy the spa facilities unless they have a service scheduled (which I'm told should be done 3-4 months in advance). We will not be returning to the Grove Park Inn.
beautiful, came for cocktails
can't wait to stay here......
hint.....holiday present ...lol
Incredible facility with impeccable service. Clean room. Fantastic views of the mountains and downtown Asheville.
Very nice but very, very expensive. The staff makes it almost worth the price you have to pay to stay there. I was disappointed in the room. It was comfortable but very ordinary and dated. The fireplaces in the lobby are wonderful and rocking in front of one of them was great. My favorite parts of our stay was the view of the mountains and interacting with the staff.
Beautiful setting. Was there for a wedding and they did an excellent job! Hotel is lovely. Would definitely like to go back and spend more time!
Love the hotel, staff was great we were booked for a week starting June 19, 2020 but will not go back. We understood from the beginning limitation due to virus but fully expected hotel to take car of guest first. This was far from the case. Tried to get reservations for spa and restaurant for weeks before, left multiple messages, never answered or called back. My son was there for 5 days prior to our arrival he was able to get a diner reservation for first night of our weeks stay and one spa appointment for my wife. Make a long story short on a Monday of our stay hotel mostly empty tried calling all day for dinner reservation, no answer or call back, my wife went to restaurant desk when they opened for lunch and was told no reservations available for diner totally booked she asked if we could get take out for diner was told no as kitchen too busy"don't count on it". Ok this is Monday most any restaurant in Ashville that was open was closed. Had to go to Carrabba and food poison. Bottom line watch cars pull up for dinner not hotel guests. We have stayed around the world in some of the best properties never have we had an experience where the hotel did not take care of guests, this was a first and the last I hope. We were also in the Hospitality field for 39 years
Guests always come first, this was a disgrace to the business.

We had a graduation lunch for my sister here in the Edison room. It was a wonderful lunch that was satisfying for all 14 of us with great service and a private room. The highlight was definitely the cake we had made, though, it was positively delightful.
The view is epic. The food and drink is pricey definitely worth the trip.
The food and service is excellent! The only thing better are the gorgeous views on the terrace.
Friendly staff-most were very helpful
Relaxed atmosphere
If you've never been definitely add it to your bucket list!
The hotel is grossly understaffed. The staff available are good but stretched too thin. If you cannot take care of the guests then don't book the rooms. The "nicest" restaurant in the hotel had 1 server for over 10 tables. She couldn't keep up and it took 2 hours for dinner. Food was cold. I felt bad for our server who was doing the best she could. I have other issues but I would hesitate to come here again during any type of busy season.
I recently had a fine dining experience at the Vue 1913 Restaurant at the Omni Grove Park Inn. The food and service was excellent. However, upon reviewing my bank statement, I discovered that the charge to my credit card differed from the amount that I had signed for. To reconcile the charges , I tried to contact Customer Service but was unable to connect with the Inn or Omni Corporate Customer Service.. Beware!!!!!!
