Place where elderly people wash their socks but if you come with normal swimming wear they not allow you to enter. Also no one tells how long you can be in the swimming pool when you pay for entry. So if you don't know timetable you will be kicked out after 10min. Because kids or pensioners or someone more important then you wants to swim.

The place is a joke.. The lift has broken down foe wks... You cannot even have a coffee cos there is no cups.. Go else where.. Start are also rude

It is not bad,I mean staff is friendly and prices are ok but the cleaness is something they should focus on.Changing rooms are old and quite dirty.

Cranky female life gaurd on a Saturday. Was very snappy at some kids making this weird noise with the pool bars. And was very abrupt about not providing pool toys for my 3 year old. Every other life gaurd I've ever asked always checked if possible and politely said sorry no. She was crappy. Brown hair can't remember if she wore glasses.

I've been going to this centre for decades and have found its got better with age, the staff are friendly and helpful in places it could do with a lick of paint but it's superficial if that's what you pick holes in.
The disabled facilities are wonderful over cygnets. Miss the bmx ramps.

Changing rooms are filthy and smell most of the time. If you are an average swimer dont waste your time because the life guards are useless in terms of directing people to the correct lane. I had arguments with older people who think they are amazing swimers so they are using breast stroke on a fast lane with the consent of the lifeguards. They stare into space and sit on a chair. The swiming pool is over crowded especialy during term time and you get teenager playing football with the consent of the lifeguard as well. Very dangerous if your child is a new born or a todler. My son nearly got hit and the life guard kept staring pretending she didnt see it. It is cheap but hey in life you pay for what you get. Go to dartford fairfields. Better value for money and the staff are friendlier.

Dreadful place,no where for dad to change his little girl,staff very unhelpful and rude. Pool dirty ,not open to 10.30, when you have children ,don t recommend this pool at all,needs a completel review and staff training.

I've been coming here for 10 years or more. It has really gone downhill, despite them fixing the place up! The front of house staff really let the whole place down, I can't express enough how rude they are! They have absolutely no customer service skills, and are miserable as sin! I don't train there anymore, because frankly I refuse to pay that much money for a basic gym, but I do attend the toddler bounce session, for the sole reason it is round the corner from me and my children love it. But, once they're old enough not to go, I won't be going there ever again! If I ran that place I would pump some money into training the receptionist on how to communicate with people, and smile, or just sack them all and hire some friendly, decent receptionists! The swimming pool is a decent size though!

Weekly swim with the Kiddies, pool pretty much to ourselves this week.

Reception staff could be slightly more pleasant and halpful.. often seem a bit agitated if you stop to ask questions.. hit and miss though and I will say this applies to inly some of the staff..

Dancing every other Saturday night, lovelyWeight gym. Squash courts, swimming pool drinks machine and bar.

Clean, warm, nice place to swim, exercise, or play sports. No family changing facilities

Need to listen to what members are asking for. Since December very hard to book onto popular classes then you find out that classes were not full - VERY frustrating

Lots of classes weekly, nice large pool. New gym. Also has specific holidays classes/sessions for kids

very expensive for the facilities they have for offer, no one to talk to about memberships they, they pullyou in then you cant terminate ur monthly payments without a fine. card would break all the tme and would need them replaced.

The staff are great, in fact brilliant but the complex is tired.

They fit like a glove on me but they are not cheap. The quality is second to none. I definitely recommend this store to anyone requiring quality products.

This review is mainly regarding the gym. The swimming and class facilities are.....okay and most of the time clean. The gym has been out of action for nearly a year now due to a fire. I know that nothing can be done about it and I can't say it's taking too long because I don't know the full extent of the damage....but they shouldnt promise people it will be open by a certain time just to keep people paying and not fulfil on that promise. They have very little gym equipment available and even less room to go with it (everything is squeezed into two tiny rooms). They are still charging full price and their excuse is "you can still visit our other centers". The staff are great but the people that are higher up couldn't care less. If you want to go to a decent gym there are plenty in Gravesend (NRG, Anytime Fitness, Iron house etc.) But if you want to go to this centre purely for the gym, don't waste your money.

Very poor. I wanted to book my girls in for swimming lessons only to be told I can only do this through a home pc or laptop, they also could not offer to do this on our behalf. We only have mobiles at home and considering you can buy a house via your phone these days, seems very arcaic. Will go to Fairfield in Dartford instead!

Somewhat old and dilapidated but functional. Probably the worst swimming pool I have been to in Kent - surely Gravesend can do a lot better.

Rude, inconsiderate and lazy staffs. Be sure to carry antibacterial lotion as changing room has poo all over and for hours. The floors remain slippery with grime which is dangerous and hazardous for kids. My son slipped and got hurt on his head....their staff saw this no one came for help...no one did anything to make the area safer so that it is cleaned and not slippery. Avoid!!! There are better places than this at the same cost

Swimming pool is ok but health suite is not clean and staff are very rude.

Some of the building has recently been done up so looks nicer. Changing rooms could do with a bit of a facelift. Swimming changing rooms can be very dirty at times.

Good pool if you're a serious swimmer and for swimming lessons. My children all learnt to swim there, progressing up the levels. They enjoy the challenge of obtaining badges. Not so much of a fun pool, cascades is better for that.
Offer variety of memberships, many activities and exercise classes for everyone. New refurbished gym as well.

Attended Gravesham ABC club and helped train Owen on K1, Muay Thai style pads for his up coming title fight. Lovely gym

very slow getting the new gym up and running,especially considering how much a monthly subscription cost compared to other gyms,no sort of compensation offered to longstanding customer for the inconvience

It's fine if you are an experienced swimmer looking to keep fit and great for offering lessons for kids who want to learn to swim. But it doesn't offer much in the way of fun activities for children apart from a small kid's (age 6 would be the maximum age) slide

Unfriendly staff, often long queue at the reception. Very prone to charge you if you are 15 min late or forget to cancle the class within one hour frame but in other had not apologetic about when they cancle a class and don't inform no one. So annoying to be wasting my time and money to get to the class that was cancled and no one bothered to inform you (and it happend more than once). If they were smaller and souranded with more qyms with classes they wouldn't be in a business.

Could do with better cleaning and some renovations, but prices are reasonable.

Very well equipped with high end equipments where anyone can find something to suit then with individual needs. We'll looked after and always looks clean and tidy. Value for the money is also good as this centre offers not only gym but swimming pool, etc... The stuff got the knowledge and always able to help with any inquiries.

My kids swim here and as a long standing swimming coach in Australia I am thoroughly disappointed in both the competence as well as ability of the swimming coaches. They are too interested in completing the forms on their device. Sorry this is not coaching (please refer to swimming coach guidelines - if in doubt refer to Austswim or US swimming coach manual).

It's really the time that the local council do some important. I will not recommend to anyone get a membership. It is dirty and old.

a very nice place but it is dirty in the swimming changing room for boys as the floor is filled with muddy water but the pool is nice to swim in very big as well would recommend 90%

Facilities are very good but the main sport halls are very cold in the winter

Horrible , dirty, and far to much clorine, so much so my throat was hurting. Brinks missing from pool floor and there solution ,put a cone over it .side of pool dirty and scum line around pool was disgusting.
I would never go again . I know Fairfield has parking issues but i know that pool is always clean and safe.
This pool needs total refurbish and health and safety to check it

My daughter has her swimming lessons here and whilst I have no issue with the lessons themselves they are great value for money and her instructor is great...the changing facilities are something else! I understand the changing rooms are old and dated but there is no excuse for them to be so dirty and the stench of urine some days is unbearable, the hair clogging up the drains literally sits there for months ... probably years...please look into sorting them out! I was thinking of looking into swimming membership for myself but I don't think I could bare having a trip into those changing rooms more than the one trip a week I already endure...I've heard the cascades changing rooms are just as bad so seems to be a weakness in both centres that needs addressing.

Fire in precious gym taking long time to make new one so have hardly been using gym although staff are friendly but shame about gym facilities

Could do with a good clean and some paint as it dont look like its changed at all in 20 odd years. In other words, a good old renovation, bring it into the 21st century.

Well equipped centre..swimming bath and health suite

Cleaning is very poor, especially the changing rooms have a stench, making it unbearable to stay there. To make it worse, the receptionists are really unhelpful. They behave as if they are doing you a favour by registering you.
If a machine malfunctions, it takes them weeks to get it fixed. The poor instructors have to listen to the complaints. The management is really poor.
Me and my friend were this close to actually cancelling our membership today, when they decided that they could actually be useful. The club is run with a lot of red tape and needs better management.
The only positive is reasonable rate and closer proximity to home.

A pleasant enough centre but a few suggestion would make it better and in my opinion safer.
1\ First time using the centre as I turned the corridor to find the changing rooms, all I could see in front of me was a sign saying 'Ladies Changing Rooms' (or similar). Not wanting to enter the wrong way I waited to see who came round the corner. When it was man, I felt there must also be a Men's changing room as well. On passing the sign I could then see there was also a men's and I was not entering the ladies.

2\When using the men's changing room there is no splash rails between the toilet bowls. These also serve as a modesty rail. As it is now, when using the toilet bowls, everybody using the changing rooms can see you using the toilet. A possible child welfare issue.

3\ We have the same setup every week for our judo club, but nearly every week we have to ask for it to be setup properly. We are often told different people are setting up, so do not know how we need it. We have been at the centre for over a year on a weekly basis and always have it the same. It would be a good idea for someone to take a picture or write notes so as it was not necessary for us to ask every week.

4\ We use gymnastic/judo mats. Half of these mats have been replaced which is great. However, the other half are in serious need of repair. I find myself some weeks sticking tape over the holes, rips and tears in order for it to be safe for our young players to use. The mats are a consortium of different makes. This does affect the consistent stability under foot. It would be safer if they were all the same.

5\ No suggestion/feedback forms available at the centre that I can see/find at the time of writing this. If these were available it would be been easier for me to have written these notes there.

Long wait to get in side not enough staff if u are a member u can book 8 day in advance. But the computer is never working to book u in so always lose out . The website is o k for everything else
