This is definitely the fanciest hotel I have ever been to
I cannot say enough good things about our experience here! My husband and I went to Sunday Brunch for our honeymoon, and they treated us like royalty. They were so professional and kind, and the food was incredible. They made our experience very wonderful and memorable.
Great atmosphere, friendly staff, beautiful outdoor scenery.
We went to do the scavenger hunt at Christmas, and it was super fun. Everyone was kind and respectful, and it was completely doable with toddlers.
I was there for the lunch buffet, and was not disappointed. The food was very good, and the staff were very helpful.
Afternoon tea at the Grand America is a must! The food and tea are delicious, the ambiance is perfect, and the service is exceptional. Do not miss out on this hidden gem!
The hotel is beautiful. The staff is super nice. The mountain view from the rooms is amazing.
Great service. Friendly staff. Rooms were clean and room service was always on time.
Great hotel with amazing staff. Conferences are always professional.
Awesome place, true 4 hotel , unlike Priceline ratings system!
My husband and I visited June 19-20, 2015. The hotel was grand on the outside, however the food wasn't very good, even if the prices were cheaper. Don't get the potatoes, or the yogurt parfet. The potatoes tasted nasty and the granola in the yogurt was stale. Also the sirloin steak had a gross sweet sauce. My room looked great at first, but there was some plumbing problems. The deep soaking tubs plug didn't work very well. It would leak through the plug and I had to refill the tub every couple minutes in order for it to stay full. This caused a problem because every time it took a while for the warm water to warm up so as I would fill it just a little all I would get is cold water, which caused for a cold bath very quickly after refilling it twice. Then the vanity sink, had a leak in the faucet knob for cold (right side), but only when I turned on the knob for warm water (left side). Got my make-up bag all wet, and ruined some make-up! It was subtle so I didn't notice it until it was too late! And a small thing, the T.V. guide wasn't accurate. Not a big deal but a little annoying. Some of the channels didn't even exist.
Yummy breakfast quesadilla with no meat. Hashbrown golden brown and cruchy. Dirty good at it's best!
This hotel is amazing. I bring students here to tour the hotel and facilities. We recently held a social event here and everything was wonderful. The food is fantastic. The staff is helpful and wonderful.
Beautiful, spacious facility with nice outdoor space. Great location for conferences or off-site meetings. Plenty of amenities.
We did not stay here, but came for the Christmas window display walk. It has become a holiday tradition for us and this year was so much fun! You begin in the lobby and walk the gorgeous halls while you see beautiful window displays (this year is the night before Christmas theme). Half way through, they have a massive gingerbread house made from real candy and ginger bread! They gave each of our kids a candy cane. A fun, free way to celebrate the holidays and walk around such a beautiful hotel!
I love the grand america. They have an amazing high scale interior with fantastic service. The rooms were the best I had ever seen at a hotel
We were very impressed with the rooms and the service with the Grand America hotel. Everything exceeded our initial expectations.
Gorgeous hotel with very helpful staff and spacious rooms.
Had lunch/dinner for Thanksgiving. Great food and amazing service!
Service is friendly and very accommodating. The view is beautiful and the food is delicious. Walking distance from lots to see and do in downtown.
The Grand America is a beautiful building but their staff was kind of lacking. The staff at the luncheon were not paying attention to us and they never came to fill our glasses. It didn't seem like any other staff really cared what was going on either.
Spa services are top notch. The couples massage was a great experience and will definitely consider it again.
Great hotel. Room was elegant. Brunch had many options and the food was exquisite.
Was here for meetings, so I can't comment on the rooms. But the meeting space was great, the meals were better than typical convention fare, and the facility is beautiful. I can see why it ranks highly in hotel reviews.
Visited for a conference. The folks there were pure class and really sent the conference to the next level. Wonderful food and amenities. Highly recommended.
WORST experience ever. Its a "5 star hotel" with 1 star service.. 3 night stay and everyday I have to wait for another key to get into my room.. the hotel has alot of electrical shocks from static electricity (thank God i dont have a pacemaker)... I've had more hospitality at a holiday inn express. Better choices in Salt Lake especially location wise as the Grand American is located on the rough side of town next to the courthouse if you catch my drift.. The little guy who is so proud of being a manager is also disrespectful and unwelcoming. Don't complain about the electrical shocks because they will treat you like your crazy then they lightly tap things whenever they would come unlock my room because they know the shocks hurt. There where also lamps with blown bulbs in the room. They advertise in room refrigerator but its full of $7 candy bars and soda cans. For what they charge a night everything should be in order. I thinks it's time the owner finds a new leader for this place.... So disappointing
I've only been to the ballrooms for professional events and they are well laid out, the food is excellent and the space is HUGE!
It is a exclusive and excelente hotel I recommend it
Went for the Sunday brunch and the food was amazing. Worth the price of admission.
The employees are very kind, the decorations are beautiful and the food is very good!
We went for the annual Christmas displays. Our kids loved it and we loved seeing the hotel.
Great food, gorgeous hotel. I did get lost in the guest parking garage, but that's not their fault.
Reasonable place for a corporate event, amenities are very expensive though.
Very clean rooms and nice amenities. Daily cookies and lemon/lime water in the lobby. Close to lots of restaurants within walking distance. Would highly recommend.
Their brunch buffet is out of this world. It is pricey, but once you see it all for yourself and taste it you wont be disappointed. Everything I tried was of high quality. Fresh berries and cream, sushi, french pastries, veggies, and so much more. I wish I took more photos when I was there. I guess I will have to return! The actual hotel and the rooms are quite gaudy and over the top. Not my style but I'm sure it is for some people and it definitely earns its name of the "GRAND America". However the views from the upper floor suites are very nice. If overspending for a gold accented hotel room is your thing then go for it!
Well I came to this city for few days and got two rooms reserved in this hotel. The entrance of the hotel is very grand and you feel like entering a Grand palace. The front view gives a grand magnificent look. As you park your car there comes a suited man to open the doors for you. Entering the hotel makes you feel happy. As the main door is huge and then s huge chandiel welcomes you. At the right side it is the reception desk. There are usually three attendants there. They listen to you carefully and help you out with every problem. You get the room keys. They also send a member with you to the room who guides you how to open the door and how to get in. The luggage comes directly to your door. Right in front of the entrance is a restaurant with a beautiful lady playing orchestra. The food aroma gives your stomach a twist. To the left side you may see few shops and a restaurant map. When you go to right row there is lifts to take you up and if you go straight you will find a Spa named Grand spa. It offers allot of services like waxing , bikini wax, arm wax, bridal makeup. Hair do and manicure and alot more. You need to get the appointment before and reach on time. There is also a gym and a pool. You need to use your room keys to open it. The rooms are nice and big. I got the master rooms they were really cozy.
We only stayed here for one night while we were passing through, the property was beautiful and has a very luxurious feel to it, I wasn t expecting to find this level of service In Salt Lake City but I was pleasantly surprised. From the moment we walked in and we were greeted by staff to when we left we were treated like honored guests. Everyone was very helpful and accommodating. Thankyou for making our stay memorable !
Great hotel, accomodations are nice, rooms are almost new and very clean. This hotel is a must for an EV driver. There a TONS of chargers outside. Including Supercharger, Tesla distinctions chargers and Universal charger as well. I was very impressed.
Nice rooms, lovely view overlooking downtown Salt Lake, good indoor pool, and very fancy lobby.
The best hotel in Utah. Beautiful and spacious rooms.
Beautiful hotel!!! Rooms are spacious and the afternoon tea was amazing! Definitely a highlight!
Room and view was very nice. Friendly staff, and beautiful grounds.
We had our wedding here and our wedding coordinator, Dana, gave us everything we wanted and needed, with no trouble on our many questions and changes. Everybody raved about how beautiful the rooms were and how good the food was.
Beautiful building and architecture. It felt very classy. The rooms were large and comfortable and the lobby had very beautiful decorations
Classy. Place. Nice decor, staff is eager to assist.
The Grand America Hotel is beautiful! Their service is phenomenal. If you are eating there, the food is delicious. Overall a great experience.
The rooms are nicely appointed. A separate salon with interior doors leading to the bedroom. A large bathroom with soaking tub and septate shower with beautiful marble and crown molding throughout. A walk in closet with storage shelves for shoes and an additional sink outside bathroom vanity. Views of the garden or mountains. The bed is comfortable. Feels like a beautiful home instead of a hotel room. The spa is to notch. Plenty of space in a tranquil setting to relax or read. Separate facilities for men and women. Clean and plenty of towels provided. A stream, sauna, 17 jet shower, and indoor pool with jacuzzi available to guests for only $10 per day. I was here for a women's conference and it was the perfect place to get away and rejuvenate.
A great dining experience in Salt Lake with beautiful grand interiors. The mushroom and truffle soup was delicious and definitely worth a try.
Great hotel and easily worthy of a 5 star rating. Spa is definitely worth a visit too.
The large gingerbread house and holiday window scenes were very fun to stroll through with a partner. It is a beautiful hotel with friendly and attentive staff. The holiday displays complete with scavenger hunt were very fun for the children.
Best hotel in Salt Lake by far. We went for a little valentines day get away
Afternoon tea is a must. The staff was so kind, and there was variety with everything from the tea selection to the gumdrops.
Best lunch brunch ever! Impeccable service, excellent food. Highly recommend.
It may be my oversight while reading the room description, but the room did not have a mini fridge that we could use. However, they did have a mini fridge full of overpriced snacks ($5 for a Snickers bar... c'mon now, I get that it's a 5-star hotel but a Snickers bar for $5?...). I stayed in a run-of-the-mill hotel airport a few days later and they had a mini fridge for use.
It is amazing! Beautiful decor. Family friendly events are going on all the time. Their restaurant is delicious.
We attended a birthday party there. The food was excellent and the room was well decorated.
Sunday brunch is a birthday tradition and the couples massage could be just the 10,000 head shower. It's like if a monsoon could give you a warm caring hug.
Beautiful, romantic hotel with fabulous service and amenities. This is one of our favorite places to stay when we're in Utah. I highly recommend it!
Went to a company party there. The grand ballroom was beautiful, the staff were all very friendly and professional, and the food was great. All around a fun experience.
Wow! We went here recently for a reception for my wife's cousin. First of all the decor in this place is immaculate, and has such style and class. it is so awesome about the Grand America is the staff they are tremendously professional and they help so much. Furthermore, the food was out of this world one of the best rib eye steaks I've had in awhile. the lounge we had dinner in want to set up perfectly with a dance floor up front and access to a garden area on the northside for the desert, it was just a really amazing evening. I should mention that years ago I took my wife here for an anniversary. The rooms are amazing!!! The beds are bad as comfortable as you'll ever find and the views around the valley are very nice. it was truly a very romantic evening that we have together.
Thanksgiving buffet was great. Staff was amazing and so was the food. The band was very talented and set the perfect mood. I would go back for Thanksgiving again.
The staff is excellent, it is gorgeous, and it is annoyingly costly. They nickel and dime you worse than a casino on the stop in Vegas.
