My first visit, to see a concert. The venue is HUGE!! So many people! Nice, I thought, except the sound system isn't the best, it was like the music was too LOUD. But otherwise it was alright. The drinks are $15 up can maybe grab a Beer for $11. I decided against a Drink because it was $22! Hell, before I got to the venue, I'd bought a bottle if Tito's for $21 & change, didn't make since to purchase a #Cup of something for that amt. Not to me!!
Concert was great, visibility was not. Large pillars supporting box seats shroud view as do box seats. Parking staff sucked. Leaving concert took longer than concert.
I love the fact parking is included in the ticket price, and we are able to bring 1 bottle of water. One complaint, we spent $15 a piece for a frosty drink in a souvenir plastic glass, and security would not let us leave with our completely EMPTY glasses.
Came here to see Alice Cooper in concert. Had a blast. Performance was amazing. I even made a new friend. Will definitely be coming back for more.
Worst parking lot known to man. Give yourself 4 hours to leave.
Love this venue. However the sound quality is not very good.
Updated bathrooms with vacant/occupied signs are wonderful. I love the recycling options at all of the garbage cans. The lawn was better kept green than brown, i love the effort made to keep the grass green. And the additional acreens for the lawn audience shown wonderful resolution.
So hard to get into the pit or get out to the bathroom. Also all drinks are like $20 "for a double" but it tasted like watered down piss to me.
Nice venue for an awesome concert. Parking was kind of different and we had 3 different people give us wrong directions to our seats. Once we got to our seats, all was good.
@TheeStallion @Future @MeekMills @YG ... LIT !!!! Drinks
Nice place overall. Decent food selection, awesome staff. Beer is hella expensive $13.50 for a 24oz can. Getting out of the parking lot is an absolute nightmare from hell. They really need a second way out of it. I'd only come back to this place out of desperation.
They need to do something with parking. It's not safe to walk and it's not possible to Uber or get picked up. You have to leave before the end of a show unless you want to spend over an hour trying to exit.
Love this place. Drinks are pricey but it's to be expected
Awful... It took over an hour in line to get in. We missed the opening show. Absolutely ridiculous. Never going back again.
Parking going in is great, going out is a disaster. Leave the concert early or plan on an extra hour or two to get out of the lot. Plenty of beer and drink choices. Not cheap, but what you would expect to pay at an event.
Went there to see Carlos Santana. It is an awesome venue in the summer but so crowded. Security was so awesome and helping me find my car. Thank you so much
Great time with friends. Friendly staff and clean bathrooms.
I'm from Indy, but now I am hooked on this outdoor venue! Even purchased tickets to see Korn later this month!!!
Excellent amphitheatre! Went to see John Mayer and took me 5 minutes to park and 10 to leave. Excellent service inside as well, and food/drinks are not as expensive as I expected them.
Great Sound, friendly staff. Looking forward to next visit/show.
To much nite picking on people and me trying to enjoy my night. Can't wait for a friend had to keep moving Ya right after this not sure if I'll be coming back spend money in Wisconsin
The food and drinks were so extremely expensive that we won't go back. They have the highest prices I've seen anywhere. For example, a beer was $16. A can of Strawverita that is $3 at the store, $16. This is gouging to its finest. Also, sat about two thirds of the way back in the lawn and feel like the concert volume was background music. Didn't even feel like I was at a concert.
Great sound, and not really a bad seat in the place. $14 for a 16 oz. Bud Light, wow. Didn't buy any food as I brought some snacks in.
Nice venue for outdoor concerts, down side too many restrictions for an outdoor venue
It was a little hard for me to find. you have to turn around from where the gps takes you. After the u-turn you take the next 2 right turns around the property. The main entrance is oak park ave and its on the south west side of the property.
Great time . Santana was on point .Sweet concert
Nice venue. Make sure to keep hydrated in summer - no AC or fans.
Great venue for music. Easy to get to and park. Intelligently set up to make the experience more about the music than walking miles to find your seat. Very convenient. Leaving wasn't the easiest, but there were well over 16000 people at the show I went to. Definitely would see another show there.
The entertainment for the night was the Doobie Brothers and main attraction Santana. Why wouldn't you love it. Large crowd and getting out of the place was a real challenge. Some people are always in a hurry and don't really care about other people than themselves.
It was ok. $40 dollars doe three Bud Lights is criminal.
Wonderful venue for concerts, plenty of restrooms. Becarefull when selecting seats as the 200 numbers have some major obstructions.
Went to watch a friend's twins in Lion King. Nice, clean place
40 million dollars for 2 dollar drinks. Grass full of cigarette butts.
Drinks are expensive and food was okay. I would suggest going to the bathrooms where the entrances are instead of by the seats. Loved the show. Every seat is good. Not sure about lawn. Haven't been there in ages.
Awesome as always! Iron Maiden was perfect, and the venue was great. Great seats from anywhere you sit, although we had perfect seats
Can't bring in water caps and the food is really expensive but it's a great venue for a concert
It's been quite a few years since I've been to this venue but they've re-done everything. The seats are so, so much better. It's clean, looks super and except for the price of the drinks it was awesome!!!
Was very fun but I believe technology has killed the true experience of concerts.
Not a bad seat from what I seen in the whole place......
don't buy stage lounge left tip off .heard you get 2 "free" drinks for the 20 charge ...nope it's just a place with cornhole bags with 11 and up per beverage smh
Huge venue! Their drinks are VERY over priced, but had a great time at the concert overall.
Big venue. Sound system is horrible. Too much bass. Artists voice does not come through clear. Distorts the songs. Made it not as enjoyable. Free parking was a plus.
Fabulous outdoor venue for a gorgeous summer night. Careful selecting seats toward the back as there are huge pillars that obstruct the view of the stage
It is a pretty good outdoor venue, but the traffic is always terrible
Shortend shows due to local noise curfew, low show volume, no pre-show tailgating, 13-15$ for a beer! Blind spots in pavilion seating, for shows that are more than 75% sold, exiting can take a half an hour or more. Positives- nice view of sunset, great amount of space for festivals (Warped tour, etc), ok beer selection.
Big spacious venue, great sound. Lots of options... grass seating, regular seating, suites. Lots of food and drink options. Expensive though.. beers are ridiculously pricey.
They've made a lot of upgrades to the grounds and the theater since I was last here. If you are willing to spend the money you can probably have an amazing time, but bring a credit card for sure.
Great concert experience, plenty of parking... wish they would let you tailgate like back in the day.
Was my first time their. Its a very interesting place. Got that amphitheatre feel but also got that small arena feel as well. Rammstein was amazing. Looking forward to seeing Linkin Park in August.
Staff was very helpful when we were finding our seats.
Iron maiden is number 1!!!! Do a scorpion's and iron maiden tour.
Great venue for summer concert. Booze is really pricey so drink up before the show.
Was supposed to have a meet & greet Manson package, was told at VIP tent I didn't. Was supposed to get admitted at 5pm as a VIP, wasn't let in until 5:40. No apparent benefits to being a VIP other than paying $240 for the package. VIP seats were mediocre.
Lawn seats are a good way to see artists on the cheap. Sound quality on lawn is a little lackluster however.
I really want to like this place but no. It's in a strange area, so forget about taking an Uber or Lyft. Can't take a limo either unless you want to rent the vehicle for 4 or 5 hours. The people are nice and it's not a bad place to see a show... the bathrooms are in need of repair.
Parking needs help. Walking on rocks will twist your ankle. Stairs at the lawn was unsafe. Not properly done. Poorly built. Although sound system was phenomenal.
Great acoustics. Need more bathrooms. Need better signage to parking areas.
Great venue and Black Sabbath kicked ass! Oh yah know it!
Excellent out door venue for country music... High priced drinks and food...
Went to see Lana del Rey a year ago at this venue. Have seen a ton of shows pop up that I would love to see live. Only problem is this venue is a garbage fire on its best day. Getting in and out of this place is the equivalent of being stuck on the I-90 during rush hour on Armageddon. A show played in hell in July might be nicer than going to a show here. If you read the other reviews yes the weather was aweful and the workers moods showed that may in Chicago is still winter. Getting in was a mess and looked more like a scene from the walking dead. Giant zombie pile at the front gate with poor organization at best. The gravel pit and non-marked parking area certainly leaves something to be desired. People were frantically trying to set off the alarms on their cars to find their rides during a sunami. The sound quality of the venue and setup might be the worst of all points. Opener was grimes for the show. Basically couldn't hear a word she said. Yes she is hard to understand to begin with but you add in terrible acoustics and it sounded like a foreign gibberish language. Lana knocked it out of the park. She was haunting and a must go see when she plays anywhere including a set in hell in June 2016. Don't worry, you don't have to die to see that show! Gridlock to get out! All the workers that direct traffic suddenly disappeared at the end of the show. Now just imagine, bad weather, bad attitudes, and 100 lanes trying to merge into 1 lane. That is what could be experienced leaving this venue. Just mind it's probably 11pm and you will be lucky to get out in 2 hours. Don't plan on going anywhere. Wait were there any consession stands? I'm sure someone mixed in a comment or two about great consessions. Avoid even if Michael Jackson, Prince, Elvis, Nirvana and The Beetles play a show here in the future stay away at all costs!
Nice place and set up. Saw Rammstein there and it was great!!!
Wow what a beautiful place. Man did I love it. I cant wait to go see another show there.
Parking is free! But plan on spending an hour or so to get out of the lot.
Hollywood Casino rocks the music world. There were 4 of us to enter. No problems. These events always have lines. I felt it went smoothly. Once inside, we had a blast. We had lawn seats and b4 we could even spread our blnkt, we were asked if we would like to go to the pit. Of course we went. 2 of us in our 60's. 2 of us in our 20's. Mostly young in the pit. We all would do this again if given the opportunity. We ate and drank and used the facilities. EVE, can't do the backwards E, rocked. Gwen, well what can you say about such a talented woman, she put the dance in our pants. Love her dance group. Am going to try some of those moves, 60 yr old speaking. Her band, mind blown.
