Joined in September 2024. seemed ok, lots of free weights, hand equipment, punching bag. A variety of fitness machines. But after 2 weeks or so, my combination lock jammed & needed to be cut. Menacing-mindset members ganged up on me. Their hook & uppercut attitude got me punchy & I demanded security. No one likes a safetycontender. I was KO'd after 2mths YET CHARGED FOR 3. watch out for heavy weightsexiting the parking lot

I absolutely love everything about this place. The members are friendly, the staff are welcoming, the classes are challenging and the facility is well maintained. Convenient location for a great price, definitely recommending to family and friends!

I have had a great experience in my year here at Ellis. You never have to wait for any equipment and the locker rooms and facilities are always spotless. The staff is very friendly and always in a good mood. I can definitely recommend this gym to people of all ages and all levels of fitness, novice or experienced.

I joined Ellis Athletic Center in October 2015 to add more diversity to my workouts, especially with the variety of classes they offer. There are numerous classes (and times) to suit people who are beginners, up to the more experienced fitness enthusiasts! They have something for everyone!

This is really a friendly gym. All the workers and trainer know there members by name. The trainers help you achieve your goals with advice and tips on what you are doing wrong and sometimes you can even work out with them. This gym helped me lose about 30 lbs from when I first started a year ago because of the trainers and workers advice and motivation. Now I like working out and it's apart of my life

Awful. Dishonest. Watch for billing traps. Only joined because it was close to my old job. Have been fighting with them over billing for MONTHS. $100 cancellation fee, $70 fee in July for no reason what so ever. Sent cancellation letter twice, second time certified, indicated effective date and yet even though the cancellation was received 8/14/19 I was still charged for September. All I can say is if you have another option for a gym take it. Read reviews, watch for hidden fees.

Really nice smaller gym with everything you need to get a good workout in. Stationary bikes, basketball court, weight area, open yoga studio with TRX, and plenty of cardio equipment. Staff is always very friendly and talkative, will say hi to you every time you come in. Trainers are well equipped and have a good knowledge of workouts. Highly recommend if you are looking for a slightly smaller gym that still has all of what you need to stay in shape and enjoy a friendly community.

Ellis Athletic Center is the most comfortable fitness center I have ever been too. The staff is friendly and helpful, the campus is beautiful and they just finished renovating. They added all new cardio with Tvs, new locker rooms and showers with great amenities like mouth wash, shaving cream and q-tips. Lots of Senior programs and classes. Not a big box...........can't go wrong here. great club

A true gem in the landscape of fitness facility/program alternatives. The staff is friendly, the classes are challenging, and the trainers are amazing. I have been a member since 2007 and would recommend this gym to everybody at every level. World's best instructors are all included in the price of admission...Becca, Lori, Olga, Kim, and Kara to name just a few.

Awful and disorganized, signed up for a class through class pass and once I got there 10 min early I was told there was no room for me because they have a members first policy . The staff was also condescending and rude. The facility is also kinda old and has terrible parking. Would never recommend it to anyone else,

Good gym, has most everything I need to get a great workout in, staff is friendly, it is decently clean in the free weight. It is not too crowded mid day, gets a little more crowded in the evening but its manageable

Great gym! I just joined a few days ago because I was referred by a friend. Glad I agreed. There are not many gyms with free weights, basketball court, various classes, and shower towels, all for $20 a month. If you sign up this month, the one time sign up fee is only $20. If you refer me, you can get an additional 2 months free! The only reason I m not giving 5 stars is because the water fountain is not that good. But you can bring your own water or buy any of their other drinks. Hurry and don t miss this months deal!

Tom, Hi it's Sue Brockhoff. In short, I am in my 5th week at Ellis. The best decision that I have made this year. I want you and your management to know; You have an extraordinary employee, Kathy Kokron. She has a vast knowledge of the human body and its functionality. Her kindness and patience have helped me move forward to succeed in my personal goals of a better me. And believe me when I say, I can be hard on myself and others but she makes coming to Ellis something I look forward to. Please let her know how much she excels and these are words that others in her classes have said as well. Regards, Sue

I have been a member since 2007. I enjoy working out at Ellis Athletic club because of its friendly and fitness dedicated atmosphere, the attention and challenges I get from my fitness coaches, and the cleanliness of the gym. Going there is part of my daily routine, and I'm certain to find there new ways to stay in good health!

My wife and I have belonged to Ellis since it opened 10+ years ago. We came for its prices, but we've stayed because of the friendly and supportive staff. The hours are great and facility is well-maintained. The skilled trainers and helpful support staff make this a great place to stay in shape or begin a healthy exercise regime. You will not find a more friendly, low-key environment to exercise in. Do yourself and your family a favor----join!!

Signup fee is $100 and first $20 month, then $20 every month after that. They say that the $100 signup fee is a "down payment fee" in case you cancel before one year that gets used for year two to renew at the same rate. When you do cancel before a 1 year (after 3 months in my case) they say that you have to pay another $100 to cancel because the sign up fee is just the "processing fee" for signing up. When you tell them you already payed the $100 cancellation fee, they basically call you a liar. Then they say you have to talk to a manager to straighten things out. The manager is unavailable and will not return calls or emails. Then their phone service "collection agency" calls weekly asking you to pay the $100, plus late fees, plus monthly payments (as if you never canceled). So for 3 months at a below average gym - it has cost me $130 plus over $150+ in fees that I will never pay and a lot of time lost. PS - the collection agency is just a call center, not a real collection agency. Overall it's a trap and they lie to you as soon as you enter. They want you to sign up and never go, but then they scare you with fees in case you'd want to cancel. The gym is small, average in some places and below average everywhere else. The locker room is kinda dumpy. The schedule for classes is a mess (perhaps on purpose so you don't go). Most of my coworkers regularly chat about how hard it is to attend classes there. Hi from Petplan! We hate you Ellis Athletic Center!
