An experience like no other. Step back in time and imagine what it was like to be a guest in a castle. Beautiful grounds, exceptional service. We enjoyed falconry, strolling through the beautiful grounds and gardens. My husband and daughter took a row boat out for some early morning fishing. The ammenities were incredible. You will not be disappointed.

Beautiful scenery throughout the Castle & grounds. Bring your sticks because the golf course is not only beautiful but fun to play as well. I'd recommend taking a little walk around the Castle grounds. So much beauty throughout this place. Our room/bed was very comfortable & the staff were very friendly. I'd definitely stay here again.

Incredibly luxurious, centrally located experience on the west coast. There aren't enough words, and the ones we have pale in comparison to the actual experience. If you are staying on the west coast and want to treat yourself like royalty, Dromoland is THE place to stay. Everyone, from the cleaning staff to the guest services to the breakfast staff was over the top wonderful, seeing to every detail of our stay and offering anything we could possibly think of needing. The grounds are expansive and beautiful. Wildlife roams the grounds and is beautiful. The lake offers a unique view of the castle and taking a short trip on one of the provided boats is a great relaxing way to spend an afternoon. there are dozens of trails leading to any sort of view you'd want to see on the estate and all fairly easy to walk. John Wood is an amazing chess player. Make time for a game with him! Clare at Guest Services is very knowledgeable and helpful with tips, bookings and advice about day trips. Claire, the Galway student and our server at breakfast, was kind, attentive and helpful. The entire staff was extraordinary, but these three stood out for their service and attention during our stay. Also notable was Damien, the falconer. He was exceptionally knowledgeable (though we were able to stump him on one question) and did his best to make sure we had a fantastic experience with Ophelia, our falcon and while visiting the aviary. Pickles is adorable. The castle is centrally located and a short drive will take you to Galway, The Cliffs, Limerick, or Doolin and a trip to the Aran Islands. Ennis is a beautiful town very nearby and anyone can direct you to a good spot, whether its food, games, pubs, or antiques that you're seeking. Really. its just the best place to be and was a fantastic end to our time in Ireland.

Not much of the the castle that we were able to see without getting a room there but very cool and beautiful place to see. I would most definitely recommend having afternoon tea there. Very very nice and upscale. I would like to get a room there just to see the rest of the castle

I regret that I was only able to stay for a day since we were only passing through. We had tea next to the fire in one of the parlors which was fantastic. Had dinner which was good (4 stars), presentation of the dinner (5 stars), service and hospitality of the wait staff at dinner (5 out of 5 stars). All the staff here went above and beyond for us. This was our first trip to the Ireland and the stay here was the highlight of a wonderful experience.

Brilliant hotel for families. Play area at back of hotel which is cheaper for residents. Games room for kids. Affordable bar menu suited to adults and children. Spacious room. Only negative is you can hear children running up and down the halls late in to the night.

Amazing! The Castle is beautiful. The rooms are newly renovated to a very high standard. So lovely and cosy. Staff are wonderful; extremely helpful and friendly. Greatest breakfast of any hotel, guesthouse or B&B we have ever tasted. Great bar and food. A little pricey. But it is a treat!

The only problem about this place is that I live in the states and its in amazing stunning Ireland. I stayed here for my honey moon over 10 years ago and not a week goes by when I don't think about this place and how amazing it is. As one review said its magical...that sadly is an understatement it is a source of enchantment and wonderment. I have been a world traveler I have been to the worlds Luxury hotels in my time but this place is one that I remember the most. amazing amazing amazing nothing in this world compares..

Had a marvellous dinner in the golf club restaurant then a little tipple in the hotel bar, everything was first class & wonderful just as one would expect from a 5 star establishment but it was rather expensive now I'm sure that doesn't matter in the slightest to its usual clientele, but I had to take out a bank loan and I was only visiting rich relations fortunate to be staying in the hotel for the night.

The hotel is situated 5 mins drive away from the golf facilities . The hotel itself was terrific ,the staff were friendly and efficient ,the food including the breakfast was excellent and the bar had live music on both of the nights we stayed I could not fault it and would thoroughly recommend it particularly if you are playing golf - the picture is from the golf course

I don't even no where to begin with this review. Our experience at Dromoland castle was out of this world what made it extra special is we just got engaged at the cliffs of moher before our arrival for our 2 night stay in this fabulous hotel. To say we were treated like king and queen would be an understatement, the staff kindly upgraded our room. Champagne at breakfast was a special treat from the GM. The staff, the room, the grounds, the food / drink we could fault absolutely nothing. I had a treatment in the spa and it was just what the doctor ordered, thanks to Dervla. We will 100% be back to stay here and are recommending it to all our family and friends. If your reading this review don't think twice just book it!

Incredibly beautiful place. The rooms are luxurious and comfortable. The bathrooms are very nice. It's a nice addition that a dual outlet is provided for American plugs. The restaurants serve typical Irish grub. Everything we tried was very good. The staff were as pleasant and helpful as could be hoped for. Highly recommend for anyone wishing to be pampered and experience a place from another time. Would love to come back!

Dromoland Castle is a wonderful place to stay. The grounds are beautiful, the rooms and service impeccable. We signed up for the hour-plus falconry experience and my met Grace, a Harris falcon undergoing training. We we're her first "regular people" and we could see the difference in her behavior over the training session. We also took a Pony and Trap ride around the estate and learned a lot about its history. Dinner in the main hotel restaurant was one of the best we have ever had, and was accompanied with music played by a talented harpist. The dinner we had at the golf club restaurant was also very good and the service both places was excellent. I also enjoyed walking along the golf cart path at the golf course early in the morning. The fitness equipment in the leisure centre looked good, but the center was not open before 8 while we were there (on the weekend).
