From the deli, to the bakery and the amazing take out This Place is top notch
Poor service. Our waiter was non-existent. Ordered the Mama C's spaghetti and meatballs. Spaghetti and sauce were good. Not exceptional though. The meatballs were very salty. The wine we had, a pinot grigio and a Chardonnay, were both musty tasting A disappointment for a Friday date night and $73.
I love Cossetta. I've been coming here since I was a little child. My grandmother had her retirement party here in the 90's and since then quality Italian deli foods and mouthwatering cannoli have meant Cossetta to me. The slices of pizza pie are huge with the perfect amount of toppings every time on some of the best dough to hit an oven. And that's just the food; the atmosphere forgedda 'bout it! amazing views of the surrounding neighborhood from window side dineing and the balcony when open is a must.
I don't understand how they find the most magical romaine lettuce ever! They have the best ceasar salad because of that darn fresh and crisp lettuce. Pizza was great as usual and the service is excellent. Manager clearly takes customer service serious. Love eating here.
Nice rooftop, but took longer than it should to get service after seating ourselves
A Minnesota staple! You can't live in mn and not visit here! Staff is friendly, selection is GIGANTIC! this place feels like a second home to me sometimes. The pastas and sandwiches here are not to be missed. Make sure to grab a canolli too!
The food is good the customer service not very happy with
The best potato salad I've ever tasted! I saw it in the little fridge by the checkout cashier by the pizzas. Absolutely PERFECT!! I had to go back and buy more.
Excellent Italian Fathers Day dinner with family and friends! The third floor patio provided a very nice setting.
Awful customer service, lines are not organized, and the food was mediocre.
One of my favorite restaurants in St. Paul ....I was disappointed in the carryout only due to COVID but the chicken parm was phenomenal....just glad they were open. Service was quick food fresh! Nice job cossetta s!
Never disappoints. I've been coming here for 28 years. Always delicious!
Huge slices of pizza, nice wine and yummy desserts! Also a great little Italian grocery!
Overpriced for quick service quality food with terrible service
Good food. Great authentic Italian grocery store in back. Ice cream, coffee and deserts bar. Fresh bread, olive bar, specialty chocolates.
Beautiful rooftop deck. Food and service were good!
Authentic Italian cuisine, fancy dining upstairs on the third floor, and casual dining downstairs with tables and outdoor seating on the second floor. There's also a deli with fresh cheeses, pasta salads, genuine Italian deli meats, fresh bread, Italian chocolates, gelato, candy, and more! There's also a dessert shop with fresh hand made cannolis, cakes, fruit tarts, and more, even if you don't like sweets, everything here is very pretty to look at as well.
Excellent dining experance. Food was good but I expected better.
I really love the atmosphere here (which is the main reason I visit), however, the high prices for such low-quality food are why this place isn't even in my top 10 Italian places in the Twin Cities...
Old fashioned southern Italian grocery, pastry shop with a restaurant and a cafeteria style dining. Groceries are top notch with great quality and reasonable prices. Oh and great bakery, breads are delicious
The place has a great atmosphere and customer service is great. I've been to Italy before and this place reminded me of being there. My friends and I went here for only dessert. The gelato was amazing. I thought it was a bit pricey (3.50 for a small) but it was incredibly filling. I also bought a lemonade (2.50 they only have one size which is about a medium) it was worth the price, since you could instantly tell it was fresh squeezed. I'll have to go to the food court next time, and check out their Italian market. In short, it is a little expensive but when you take into account how filling and tasty it is, it's well worth your money.
Tasty food, though a shade pricey for cafeteria style serving.
Good food. Usually busy. Getting your food is a little hectic, not a good choice if you're indsicive. A little over priced, worth the experience but not an everyday place to eat. On site parking and a short walk from the Xcel Center, good for a quick bite before a concert or a game.
Parking is always a hassle at meal times, but it's worth it for the excellent selection of delicious Italian foods. A favorite when I'm around downtown St. Paul.
Excellent selection in the market store. Very pleasant staff
never disappointed by the quick counter. the italian beef sandwich and a cannoli are my go-to. also, the masticolli w/ a meatball and bread stick. omg
It's a St. Paul staple. They specialize in Italian food and high quality desserts; they even have a little grocery store too. My favorite thing to get is the Mostaccioli with white sauce. It is a little bit more expensive than some may expect, but nothing too unreasonable.
It was my first time ever going to this restaurant and I had a great time. The food was amazing! I was there with my sister from out of town and our Mother we all got something different and shared it all so we could taste different foods. I would definitely come back to this place. We were there last Sunday.
Omg omg a delight for taste, sight, smell, sound...the food, the deli, the pastry shop.
Every experience I've had at this establishment has been quite enjoyable. The menu occasionally has minor adjustments, but the food is always delicious. The employees are clean, friendly, and efficient. The atmosphere is enjoyable & relaxing. No matter what you go to Cossetta for (the eatery, market, bakery, etc.), you are sure to be satisfied. Definitely a favorite of mine!
More Italian American than Italian. Lasagna comes smothered in tomato sauce and cheese. Pizza dough is very salty. Espresso in the cafe was burnt and undrinkable. Nice selection of Italian food products in the store though.
It's as fantastic as you've heard, I'll tell you that much...and the pastries are to die for...literally, because I'm diabetic and I'll eat the hell out of 'em!! Even if the doctor tells me no!!
St. Paul institution, revamped a few years to make a larger Italian market and rooftop restaurant (Louis - much pricier). Great pizza by the slice & large salads. You can call in an order ahead and not wait in the long lines that form during Xcel event nights.
Love this place. Food is always amazing with lots of good options. Only downside is that it can get VERY busy -especially during events in downtown St. Paul.
Food is good, it gets a bit busy especially on weekends.
Oh my god, this place is amazing. Food, deserts, my face looks like Homer when he sees doughnuts. I highly recommend the lasagna, it's to die for. Be prepared for a line but don't get too intimidated. There's basically stations of food, try to be near what you want. Don't get mad when people pass, we just know what we want :)
A Minnesota classic, I've tried a bunch of menu items but always love the cold sandwiches. Crusty bread that's soft inside and filled with fresh ingredients puts any "sub shop" sammie to shame. I've never left without a cannoli and a few other sweet treats and the market stocks everything you need to make some great food at home!
Really good food and an excellent atmosphere. My favorite St. Paul restaurant!
I have eaten at restaurants all over Italy. This place is like cafeteria food and overpriced. The staff is very rude, especially Carlos. I was behind a couple and they asked how to order a sandwich and Carlos said, just ask. Five people just standing around and the customers were ignored. When I spoke to the manager he kept saying, "in our defense". No excuse.
A treasure of downtown St Paul. Great pasta, great pizza, a quaint cafe, and a grocery store that offers classic Italian meets and cheese
Very large busy place. Good choice before an event in town. Great food, lots of choices.
I'm going to break my review into three sections. 1st The Restaurant - I Freakin Love it! 2nd The Market - I Freakin Love it! 3rd The Bakery - I Freakin Love it!
Cossetta never gets old & is always awesome!! LOVE their newly added grocery store section!!
Great place to pick up a quick Italian bite! When a place is packed, it's good!
Delicious! Casual old world charm. Wait in line to park... worth the wait, part of the experience.
Absolutely amazing!!! They have everything. We will be back!
Fabulous food! Main seating area upsts. Needs a staff to direct traffic for new customers or better signage.
A St. Paul classic. Everything from the pizza, pasta, and canolli are great. Stop and have a beverage upstairs at Louis (really nice patio).
Dinner was great! Just wish they filled the cannolis on demand as my shell was a bit soft.
Love this place!!!! Closet thing to my grandma's Italian cooking. Only thing I wasn't crazy about was salad with gorgonzola cheese. Too much bacon bits in it for me. Great selection of gelato, amazing deserts! Perfect place for date night or dinner with the family.
I have been eating here for over 25 years. I love the pizza and pasta.
Been eating here for 35+ years. Any restaurant that can keep someone coming back that long is obviously doing something right.
One of the best places in the twin cities for good pizza. I always have to stop there when I'm nearby.
Decent food, but the prices are high for what you get and the service is lackluster. If you don't mind being headed through a cafeteria line to pay sit-down restaurant prices, then it might be for you
Traditional Italian deli and restaurant, quality food and ingredients. Quick service and smoke seating. Lots of off street parking. Pizza, cold salads, hot pasta selections and desserts. Huge deli selection. A Saint Paul landmark.
This is the restaurant with real Italian! They re home made potato chips, cannolis, tortellini alla panna and mostecolli are to die for. Now I crave thinking about it!
