Capital Steel Buildings Reviews

Capitol Steel has built two buildings for my storage facility and I am very happy with their products. On the most recent building there was an issue with the painting of doors supplied by their subcontractor. Capitol Steel pushed the subcontractor to resolve this issue to our satisfaction. As a contractor myself I know the importance of standing behind your product and making any problem right with your customer. Capitol Steel did this. Anyone can make a mistake. Its how you respond and correct the mistake to the satisfaction of an owner that is important.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this company to anyone. After our first meeting mid-summer, Robert (the owner) assured me that my building, an 8,550 sq ft climate control building for our storage facility, would be complete by the first week in October. I signed contracts, got the slab work done and found out (after I contacted them) the materials wouldn't deliver until 8 October. 8 October came and went and I was told it would now be 1 Nov. The materials arrived on 1 Nov and I paid for the materials and then it was up to me to work with erectors Robert lined up. It is now 21 Dec, I have 1/3 of a roof, Christmas is next week, and no one is working on the roof today bc not enough workers showed up. To say I am dissatisfied would be an UNDERSTATEMENT. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone.

Part 2: It is now 20 January and we are almost done but NOT YET. Day 81 of a contractually agreed upon 35-day job and yet another wrong item was delivered so we are waiting for a delivery. My waiting list for climate control customers has gone away because of all the delays. VERY, VERY FRUSTRATING.

Waited 6 weeks for a quote that was told would take 1 1/2 to 2 weeks, finally decided to give up on them. I even spoke with the owner on week 4, with him assuring me that this was unlike them and he would make sure it is taken care of. There was no effort of communication on there end.

They are very hands on and go to great lengths to make sure everything is to your satisfaction. Very very pleased here in KC!

I have worked with Capital Steel Buildings through Danny Mitchell Architect and again through the owner's second company Kool Storage. We have worked with them on countless projects. Everything from just drawings for their clients to order and installation for needs of our own. Every single step of the way Robert Reed and Kay Hogue....well everyone with the company....has been a joy to work with. They respond quickly to questions, follow up on requests, and make sure everything is taken care of every step of the way. In all the years we've worked with them, we've never had a single problem with Capital Steel Buildings and I would recommend them to anyone.

Capital Steel was recommended by a former colleague of ours and we were not disappointed. We had excellence service at all levels and the project turned out great. We are working on 3 more projects because of the success of this one. We are really proud of the project and that is because it was done so well.

Robert was easy to work with and delivered all the materials to us on time and on our agreed upon cost (which was great) for both of our projects. We plan on working with him again in the future.

I have personally conducted business with Capital Steel for 10 years. We are on our 4th expansion and all of our steel products were purchased through them. We appreciate the value of the product and the impeccable customer service. We rely on excellent communication due to most steel company's are not local to us here in Missouri. We have been able to find that type of customer service in Capital Steel. They also provide a most cost efficient product. We appreciate their designs that help implement our goals. They also help us with concrete plans and drawings as needed to visualize our projects. Our success has greatly been due to relationship we have formed with Capital Steel Buildings.

We had 2 acres of land that needed developing and have now built 2 phases and a total of 3 new Storage Buildings at our Pickens County GA location using Capital Steel Buildings. This was our first experience with development so we naturally had some anxiety about finding the right vendors to partner with. Capital Steel has been very professional in both phases including the labor crew that we used and any issues we had during the construction process were resolved timely and to our satisfaction. We were also concerned about getting quality durable steel on the buildings and all of the materials we have used from them over the last 2 years have held up well to any weather related elements. Their pricing was extremely competitive to boot. We would recommend Capital Steel to anyone considering building a Steel Building.
