Had a great time. Our server, Corey and hostess, also Corey, were awesome. Food was great, service was excellent, beer was delicious. (Server) Corey did an awesome job recognizing my taste in beers and made well educated and much appreciated suggestions. Highly recommend.

Me and my husband attended Murder at Bazancourt for the Murder Mystery. We LOVED the experience of the murder mystery and was constantly on the go trying to solve this murder. I loved the prices at the bar, I thought they were incredibly reasonable and affordable. We were although not impressed with the food. It seemed for family style there wasn't enough to go around. The chicken looked like frozen chicken nuggets put into the oven. The salad was good, I enjoyed the soup, my husband did not. The dessert was good but for $50 each we thought the food could've been a better quality. We will be back to participate in other mysteries and also to dine in the catacombs. Again great show, great atmosphere, great great great!! The food was our least favorite part

To the Manager of the Catacombs, My granddaughter and I arrived for our reservation time, 5:45 pm for her 15 Birthday Dinner. I didn't want to take the tour of the brewery, so our hostess took us to our table. We look at the menu then ordered. I ordered a Porterhouse Steak, my granddaughter ordered duck. I mentioned to the server how I wanted my steak cooked because I didn't want to send it back. Server," It seems you're going to be heard to please." My salad was wilted, warm, and bruised, (I noticed the salad bin were kept under lights and without ice) I asked the server to take the salad away. She didn't offer me another salad, she walked away in a huff.s We were served our orders,my Steak looked like a T-bone Steak. Me,"This looks like a T-bone Steak" Server "No, it's a Porterhouse, we don't carry T-Bone Steak." I went online and looked up Porterhouse, information said, Porterhouse Steak is the King of T-bone Steak Server, " Cut the Steak in the middle to see if it's the way you want it." The Steak was thin about 1/4 inch thin and cooked well done, the worst! Me, "No,it's well done, please take this away." Server, "Would you like another?" Me, "No, I'll eat at home." This is when the server displayed an attitude. My soup spoon had what looked like to have had dried tomato on it, the forks and spoons had water spots and smudge marks that I wiped off with my napkin. My granddaughters duck was nice, but the green beans tasted rancid. I asked the server if the beans were cooked with oil. Server "No" it was sauteed." Me, "Look at it,if it's sauteed,it does have oil in it." Server, "Yes", "Everyone likes it" Me "I don't care about everyone, it's rancid,we don't want it." I wanted to speak to the manager, I was told there wasn't a manager, that I could talk to the Bartender. Then one of the hostess said, I'll get the manager downstairs. When the hostess came back, she said, " The manager said " Since I've been comped, there nothing she can do." My interest in talking to a manager was to tell her about our experience. I've always enjoyed my time at Bube's, but I must say, this is the worst experience I've had with Bube's. I will not recommend Bube's to any new comers to this area. One star rating is to much for this place.

So we have been here several times for meals. However, when we scheduled an tour for a wedding the staff was completly unprepared and had no communication. We waited for 20 minutes past our scheduled time for our tour and were bypassed for a drop in. We are concerned that if this is the level of attention give to potential customers what can we expect once we have paid for our event?

Extremely disappointing. We were really excited about coming. I felt bad because our server was so nice. We got a New York Strip and a Filet. I ve never sent food back before, but I just had no choice. Both steaks had little to no flavor. Vegetables didn t seem fresh. Drinks were just ok, and the soup was just ok. Not sure if I would give them another shot. It s a shame. I had really high hopes.

Hosted event for 400+ customers and it was a blast. I was looking for something other than your typical cookie cutter corporate location and this hit the mark. Sam and his staff were nothing but accommodating for our group and went out of their way to make sure the event was a success. Food and drinks were great, but again can't say enough good things about the staff.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place!! Fast becoming my restaurant of choice. There is so much going on I will never be bored!! I eat often in the Bottle Works Pub. Besides the huge menu, there are great weekly specials. Bube's beer is exceptional beer. They usually have 5 or more on at a time. I usually don't ever get regular draft beer because I like the Bube's beer. On weekends we stop in sometimes to hear live music. Most of the time there isn't any cover charge. My wife and I always celebrate family milestones in the Catacombs. It is expensive, so I can only do special occasions. The food is excellent. The atmosphere can't be beat. It is way down under the restaurants in the area that used to be used for storing beers a long time ago when the brewery was in full operation. I think it is romantic. My daughter had her rehearsal dinner, wedding and reception here last summer. The wedding was outside in the Beergarden and it was a very special time for us. The reception was upstairs in the Ballroom. Everything was perfect and went off without a hitch. My wife and daughter were very nervous that all the details would be covered. Thank goodness they were. The server/manager Jean was so accomodating and professional. Overall, the place is one of the few historic restaurants left in Lancaster County. They serve great food and offer a lot of options. Bube's is a best kept secret!!

So I had heard about this place and always wanted to go as I like history and beer. My wife and I arrived and were promptly seated outside in the biergarten in the pavilion. As to be expected with outdoor seating, nature was present in the form of many spider webs and mosquitos but nothing we wouldn't experience on our back porch. We did have to wait an oddly long time for a server to visit our table. Our server, Jessica, noticed that we were not being helped and went outside of her section to ensure that we received service. The beer flight was good, though the in house beer options were limited to 6 varieties (our fav was the Tea Saison - witbier made with chamomile tea). We ordered crab dip as an app, as well as our meal. The meals came out without having received the crab dip. Jessica apologized profusely, still brought it to us but did not charge us for it. She also very graciously provided us desserts at no charge. If not for her, I don't know that I would have given the stars I did, so keep up the awesome work Jessica! We then hung around for ghost tour. It was 5 bucks because we had eaten dinner (10 if you just come for the tour). For 5 bucks, you get what you'd expect. The guide from Miley Paranormal seemed like he was drunk and was a terrible story teller. We did not experience anything, not that I really expected to. He used some equipment, though very briefly and seemed to give up quickly. But getting the tour through the surprisingly expansive location was still cool, particularly down in the catacombs (both literally and figuratively). If you do the ghost tour I'd say go in with an open mind but don't expect much or you'll be disappointed. Overall though we had a good time and I definitely believe we will be back. When you go, be sure to ask to be seated in Jessica's section and you will be assured of a great experience!

This was one of the worst dining experiences. It might be an OK place to go during off times, but being there when it was a little busy showed that the management has no clue how to *MANAGE* a restaurant. The issues were: 1) they call themselves a brewery, but only had one of their own beers. A very mediocre Hefeweizen. For those that don't like Hefeweizen, there were no local choices. 2) they couldn't manage a waiting list 3) they offered a building tour while we were waiting, but failed to deliver 4) we had to wait about 15 minutes for the waiter to show up {this was after they delayed seating us at empty tables for 45 minutes because they didn't have wait staff available. I really do appreciate when restaurants delay seating, but then they need to be ready to deliver reasonable service] 5) the waiter was horribly inefficient. Multiple steps, with long delays in between, to take/deliver drinks/food. It took about a 1/2 hour from delivering drinks to taking food order. You could tell by his inefficient actions that he was not prepared for the job. 6) some of the waiter issues may have been caused by him being too busy. If so, our issues represent poor management, as there were other staff people that were standing around 7) it took over an hour to get our food once it was ordered 8) the manager [told it was the owner's wife] addressed our complaint about waiting for food as she checked the ticket time and it was only 41 minutes so far, and that the kitchen would expedite the order. Her 41 minutes didn't include the time it took the waiter to submit the order, nor the 15-20 minutes it took after the manager talked to us. 9) it took 15-20 minutes to get food after the manager told us it was being expedited 10) half of the eventually food arrived, but half of people at the table had to wait longer for their food 11) much of the food was cold when it arrived, indicating they couldn't coordinate food output for one table 12) about half of the people were disappointed with their meals, the other half would have been satisfied if the food had been hot and arrived in a reasonable time frame It took about 3.5 hours for us to eat dinner. I completely understand the 45 minutes prior to being seated, The remaining 2:45 is double what it should be, even in a busy restaurant. Until they get someone to *MANAGE* this restaurant, I wouldn't go back. The building is wonderful, too bad they couldn't leverage that into a decent experience.

This is now one of my favorite places, and wished I lived a little closer to go more often. I have admittedly not eaten in the catacombs, so I will not comment on that. The casual part of the restaurant is a unique experience, and the food and the brew are excellent. Combine that with a free tour while sipping one of their beers, and you have a great time.

We had so much fun at Bube's! We came for a quick weekend get away from Baltimore. Dinner in the cavern was amazing and the atmosphere was unlike any other. We enjoyed live music and cocktails in the tavern and then spent the night in one of the whimsically eclectic rooms upstairs. We've been telling all our friends what a fun time we had and can't wait to go back again soon. What a great hidden gem!! And Shawn, the banquet manager, did a fantastic job of accommodating us prior to our visit.

Took a half day off from work and went to the brewery with my girlfriend. I was very excited for the beers and what i thought would be a fantastic dinner. The beers were fine, nothing special. the atmosphere in the bar area was extremely dark and seemed dirty. Things lining the wall were caked in dust and dirt. My food was average but my girlfriends salad came with this dressing that was very spicy without warning. I was expecting better after viewing their webpage.....

Called ahead for reservations for 12 people. We had to put $100 deposit down to hold it. Arrived to find 2 separate tables of 6 were saved for us back to back so we couldn't even have a conversation with half of our guests. No one was in there! There was more than enough room elsewhere for our party. This is a brewery, but when I asked for a beer list or to get more info on their beers, the waitor said they didn't have one and to just tell him what I wanted and he'd get me something. I asked about their own kriek lambic beer which is the only one I saw listed anywhere and he said they didn't have it. This is why a current beer list is needed. Food and beverages took forever. Maybe because they were all too busy with their Halloween party downstairs they didn't care about those few dining upstairs. We waited 30 minutes to take the tour of the catacombs after our meal. Tour took 5 minutes and the tour guide acted like it was a bother to show us around. We went outside to get some air by the dark, dirty, and empty pool table area. Some seriously drunk patrons told us to" get away from their table right now." Overall one of the weirdest dining experiences I have ever experienced. The only good thing was that the food was hot and tasty.

i wanted to love this place, seriously. the atmosphere looked awesome! however the staff was rude, unwelcoming, immediately made my date and i feel judged by repeatedly suggesting we eat in the bar because downstairs was "fine dining and the menu was more casual in the bar (implying it was out of our price range)" despite us repeatedly saying we wanted to eat in the catacombs... the food was okay at best. the bartender was nice upstairs when we had a drink before being seated. the new hostess was also nice. and im tempted to give them a shot again because the place is just so neat and who knows, maybe it was an off day for everyone there... but if you come to a place expecting a warm welcome and amazing food, this isnt it.

Even the price for the whole thing came out under 6k for 50 people including the hotel room. I cannot express the love and appreciation i have for bubes brewery. See you soon. Overall it was a great experience! Sadly the outside seating for Dining left a little bit to be desired. Uncomfortable seating and then the Menue was at best average with a small twist. Even that could have been enjoyable if not for the lack of the untrained Kitchen staff! The pretzels appetizers were not as seen in pics on line, as well as not cooked to temperature! The centers were frozen still. The Brewery fries were not a balanced flavor set. Very strong on some flavore, and almost non existent in others. I had the Hawain Burger with a grilled pineapple and a special BBQ Sauce, but asked for no Onion due to Allergies and cooked Medium Rare. The first one came out well done, with onions on plate in my fries and on burger as well as an eyedropper of BBQ Sauce at best.! The Second one had not even an eyedropper of Sauce and only part of a slice of Pineapple. Finally at about 2 hours in the third Burger came out somewhat acceptable, temperature was between Rare and Medium Rare, a full slice of Pineapple but not grilled well or at all, an ok amount of Sauce but not the right BBQ Sauce. Edible but not right. Did i mention the Main dish came out about 30 minutes before the Appetizers? And were as i said not that good anyways? Had told them to forget about the pretzels app and remove from bill. Well! It was still on bill at time of payment and we never ate it. Had to ask a second time. The rest of the experience was awesome however! And the Wait Staff was awesome. Very friendly and very polite. My note to the owner! Fix the Kitchen for that area of the business! Hire a real Cook, and get an Entree menue on there! Was very disappointed there was no Entree menue! Came looking for a full Meal, left with a mediocre Burger! Ill be back again, hopefully you have fixed your kitchen by then. Good luck and may God be with you!

Went to Bube's for the Brewery Tour. That was pretty awesome, very interesting to see and hear the history behind it. However that is where the good ends. We stayed for lunch. Service was absolutely horrendous, waitress forgot my drink, I am a diabetic who had a low blood sugar so waiting wasn't really a great idea to begin with. When she FINALLY came to check on us she realized it, she took another 10 mins to bring it over. It was a soda for God's sake. Food took an overly extended amount of time to get out to us, waitress barely checked in on us. THEN when we went to pay, the credit card systems were down!! They would not let us leave until we paid them, and told us there was a Susquehanna bank 2 blocks away. SO our husbands left on foot to hit up the atm, which ended up being over a MILE away. I am blown away by the fact they would not just comp us our bill for their credit card problem, and instead forced us to come up with a solution to their problem, and indicated a bank was in walking distance, in which it was not. Wasting our valuable time, after I had already mentioned I needed to go pick up my son. Awful, awful experience I will NEVER go back. No, I do not think I should get a free meal for just anything but the fact, we were trying to pay and we had to wait out the credit card machine coming back online or our husbands coming back from a 2 mile walk is just insane to me. Oh and to top it off, the food? Not very good, I got the wings, they were very meaty so that was a plus but my flavor was supposed to be spicy brandy mango? I didn't taste any spice or mango, there were hardly any flavor to them at all!

When you walk into a restaruant the team should most likely greet you? Server, disinterested and should find a profession she enjoys. The reason we went to Bube's is because of its website proclaiming how unique it is and how there are different rooms and experienced but they had a private event (understandable) but perhaps they could be a bit more savvy and have an option on their website stating live information about which rooms are open and available. Food decent, service not intuitive and careless.

I gave this place three chances to impress me...which was three to many. The first time it was my wife and I. My wife got a burger (med) and I ordered a seafood stuffed mushroom platter with scallops. Both were burnt to a crisp. After saying something to the waitress about it all we received was attitude. They said that's the way chef does things... The second time was a friend and I for beer and some wings. The beer was higher than market price and the wings were small and over cooked. And I know the whole fool me twice thing but I wanted this place to impress because of the amazing building and atmosphere. The third was the last straw. Another friend and I stopped in for lunch a some drinks. The service was exceptionally bad this time. We had to track down the waitress to remind her of our drinks and food order. The food was (surprise) over cooked and the portions were small even for a lunch order. The cherry on top was that after waiting we had to track down the waitress for the check. If I were a lesser person, lunch would have been on the house.... This place has enormous potential and that's about all. I will not be returning until it is under new management.

We had a reservation for dinner in the catacombs at 5:10 PM. We arrived quite early as we were looking at properties and not sure of our time frame. We were more than happy to hang out in the bar until our reservation time. At 5pm we notice a crowd gathering at the hostess station so we approach and inquire about our time. Fast forward to 5:30 when we were told for the 2nd time we are in the next group.....why do we have a reservation??? No explanation of what is happening or reassurances of a resolution. 5:40 we are finally taken down (pretty sure they were expecting my eruption momentarily). Had high hopes and was extremely disappointed. Even embarrassed as we were introducing friends to this place. Overall the wait staff downstairs was pleasant but service was chaotic. Our waiter didn't remember who at our table ordered Jamie & Ginger when my husband was the only liquor order. It was 25 minutes until he received a watered down drink which had clearly been sitting waiting for delivery. Food was overpriced and mediocre. Salmon was overcooked and dry, crab cakes were average and chicken marsala was so-so. My steak was good, though!! Disorganized and chaotic is my overall opinion. Super disappointed. Won't get another chance from us.

We have eaten in the Catacombs a few times and enjoyed the meal. The meals and ambiance were superior. This time, the experience fell short. We brought another couple who have not experienced Bube's and we were sadly disappointed. The menu differed from what was illustrated on line and was less than average with variety and preparation. This in conjunction with no silverware on the table and the comment "...do you want me to place the silverware or just drop on table" was a little surprising. Hello, I was planning on making a reservation for the Christmas Feast like we do every year and read the last review about the mistreatment of employees. I was a dishwasher for a year while attending law school and it was the haredest job I ever had to do. No one thanks you for that job or really sees how hard you work. To read that a place that I take my family and friends, disrespects an employee to the point someone writes a review has me in shock. So to the employee, I am a workplace attorney who represents employees. I hope you read this and can click on my bio and reach out to me. Keep your head high like I said I started where you were and have accomplished so much.

Took my wife to Bube s special Valentine s Day Dinner in the Catacombs. First, if you haven t experienced the catacombs, you are missing out on something exceedingly rare and authentic, several stories underground. Unlike typical gourmet restaurants, you can actually have a quiet dinner experience in the Catacombs. You will marvel at the candle-lit atmosphere. Our server, Josh, was very attentive and friendly. OK, the tab was more than we generally spend for a night out, but with such good food, and entirely unique experience, it was not expensive.

Me and my wife had dinner in the Catacombs for our anniversary. The food was a 8/10 but the service down right was aweful. It took us, and others around us forever to get just silverware let alone drinks. We actually had to get up and go find someone to get silverware, and other tables had to do it for there drinks etc. With that said I would give service a 4/10. They definitely need to improve on this. Especially if they wanna have a high dinning establishment like they are trying to do

I made a 2.5 hour drive here for the Pirate Feast a few years ago and I'm still thinking about it... in a bad way. We were seated late, the guests were so packed together we could hardly move, there was barely enough food for the table and it was cold by the time it got passed around to me, and for the love of god *why are they allowed to touch people*? Im all for raunchy humor, but the fact that the atmosphere was run like a strip club (tips for touching, exposing skin, etc) when I was there for corny, lowbrow humor was an experience that bordered on traumatic. I was not prepared for that line to be crossed and I certainly did not consent to witness that. I'm giving a one star review for the PTSD.

I will rate this 3 stars since you can't replicate the atmosphere of a building built over 100 years ago. Some of the interior "flare" however is not 100 years old and really should be cleaned up a bit, like beer bottles on the walls covered in dust. There is a difference between character and dirt. The food was very good, but for being a brewery you would think you would see more beer inspired dishes. I did not give them four stars since the service was over the top slow. It took two hours to get a lunch for three people with only 3 other tables in service at the time.

I had the worst experience ever trying to book an event for my father's 50th birthday party. I had called and had all the details specifically explained by an employee whom works in their office. We had the date, price, package and everything specifically set up at my families request. I was told that I could call back only 3 days later to officially "book" the event with a $400 deposit to cover the talent fees for our feast. When we called back to firm up for our event, no one had any idea about my previous conversations with them. The employee whom I dealt with was suddenly unavailable, and the owner who was rude and referred to me as a liar, said that it was impossible that I was told these things as their private room was previously booked and they could not do "feasts" on Saturdays. I had a party of 25 already RSVP to come, ten of them whom were traveling from New York State. They offered me no solution other than we can just come for dinner??? I would recommend this establishment to NOONE!

I really wanted to like this place because it is really cool inside. But our service wasn't very good. Our waitress barely acknowledged us didn't even ask if how our food was. She asked us if he wanted refills but we did not get our refills until after we ate which it would have been better to have drinks with our food. And my boyfriends beer on tap wasn't very cold. Our food was satisfactory but was expecting a little more for our first time being here and telling our waitress that. The bartenders and staff were too busy talking to each other and making fun of other customers and how much they left for tips and whatnot to acknowledge the service they were providing is what they receive in tips and making the experience the best that they can. We will most likely not be back and will not be recommending this to anyone. We would like to have visited the catacombs but if that experience is like this we will definitely not be going there.

There is only one thing to say about this place and the service this evening: WOW!!! Upon entrance, we were greeted by the hostess who was polite and approachable and directed us to the bar first because we were quite early for our reservation. Mike the bartender took great care of us, making sure we were comfortable, satisfied and entertained. And man oh man was he busy...a few large parties at the bar paired with some outside patrons and tables kept him moving but he stayed on top of it well! His cocktails were perfect, and his knowledge on the menu and suggestions paired wonderfully with the drinks he made for us. We had a few appetizers, cocktails, and a sampling of Bube's beer (they are a brewery after all) to start in the Bottling Works (which also has an outdoor German style Biergarten) followed by dinner in the Catacombs! Anne was a wonderful and friendly server. There were many customers down there as well and Anne handled them with professionalism, friendliness, and perfect service. Taylor the cocktail server was knowledgeable and friendly. The history of the building is absolutely incredible. In the Catacombs specifically, you dine in the original lagering caves of this 19th century brewery, super neat! All around great food, great service, and a place that you NEED to see if you're a beer, great food, and history lover!

This place is absolutely FANTASTIC it has everything you could ask for! And the history to boot. The beer is great they had 5 of their own beers on tap. They don t bottle or can their beer hopefully that s a thing in the future but you can buy growlers! There is an elaborate maze of a beer garden out side, can t wait to go back in the summer. There are catacombs 40ft below the building that were used to refrigerate and age barrels of beer in the 1900s. The place has been on Ghost Hunters and the Food channel recently. The food was awesome...I took the manager recommendation of Chicken and Waffles. Shawn was the best he gave us a tour of the whole place. You can tell he has pride in his job and runs a tight ship. My husband and I went here for our first anniversary. We thought it would be a cool experience to dine in the catacombs. We expected what was described as "fine dining", which it was anything but. The tour was nice, the catacomb concept is cool but the food was tremendously lacking. We each got warm salads (like they had been sitting around), generic type dinner rolls, and a pretzel and cheese appetizer (which was like pretzels out of a snack bag). My dinner was disgusting, the seafood was overcooked and my husband's steak was gross. I sent my food back, as I wasn't paying $30+ dollars for it. I would have to say our first anniversary experience was not what we wanted it to be. I won't go back here, and I won't recommend anyone else to go here either.

My boyfriend and I went here for lunch on a Sunday. We had to wait about 5 minutes at the 'please wait to be seated' sign when they were not busy. Then we were told to sit where we would like. It was VERY cold. Our table was dirty and the bartender never cleaned it off for us. The menu's were dirty, from front to back. Our starter was very small. Five mozzarella puffs for $7? It took our server another 15 minutes to come back and take our order. Food got there in a reasonable amount of time. The wings had a very odd buffalo flavor to them. Also our server was very akaward, had to ask for everything that we wanted. Even refills on drinks. It was not a busy time of day so I don't see why service was so horrible. I do not reccomend going here if you are looking for good food. It is average, but I would rather go to TJ Rockwells over here.

We went two days in a row. Once for the Catacombs and once to eat at the brew pub and do the Halloween stuff. The Catacombs is s great environment and cool experience, but the food is way overpriced for what it is. The brew pub made a good pumpkin pie ale, but the bar was way understaffed once the Halloween party started. The bartenders pay no attention to who has been waiting longest. Also he told me that he couldn't give me a growler because it was too busy, but could take very large orders from other people such as one woman who came after me...was waited on before me ......and ordered 2 mixed drinks, 5 beers and 5 shots. I would go to the Catacombs once for the cool dining experience, but the food isn't really fine dining as advertised. The Halloween festivities are a cool idea, but the place is just too overcrowded and understaffed to accommodate the amount of people that they allow in and the staff can't get everything done in a timely fashion. They said that the haunted walk through would start at 10, but the down stairs was not open at 10 as advertised because they couldn't get set up and clear out the diners in time.
