They are selfish people, things get from donation by inside people. They treat program guys like slaves. They want to be seen like holy but they do the total opposite. They are not willing to help the peopme they only value when a rich person who wants to act Godly gives them money. They want everything for free and then use God as a tool to get it.
Great place for not just men. Men do live here. Work here to. They provide food and clothing for anyone that needs it. They do provide a great Thanksgiving public meal. All homemade food like we all remember. I went there one year and also for Christmas. They had Ham and turkey. All the fixings. Even gave everyone who wanted it a large platter to take home. I got to know these hard working wonderful people. They really do because they care. There are not many people like this fine organization.Thank you for being their not just when I needed you but for the thousands of others who call you family.
There were alot of nice people. Rushed a little after eating, but it was worth it.

God changed my life. Bethesda Mission provides directly, or is connected to everything a man needs to make it in this world. To be in this world, not of this world. There s never one thing I ve applied from the Bible classes and education there, in Christ, that has ever let me down. There isn t anything else in my life that worked . This place, and what I achieved through their program This worked. It isn t the prettiest, it isn t state of the art , and it doesn t need to be. Bethesda has seen so many lives I can t even imagine (if only the walls could talk... ). Plus, it s got Morris here the cat that lives right on site.

This place is nice to go if you're homeless..I would recommend this place for those who are looking for shelter..
It's a great place to find a start. The only thing is you have to be willing to follow all the staff rules and regulations. There are strict rules but its worth it for what they are providing. Overall a great place with great people
I had to save a homeless in my area so I helped him at this greatpeople they like to help and they do help much respect out to the shelter.

This place changed my life. I came from Cleveland Ohio in 2013 lost and hopeless but little did I know my life would never be the same. Thank you Bethesda for the brotherhood.
If you are Homeless and making an honest effort at change these wonderful people can help. Many of the staff have been where you are now. It is a clean, safe enviroment that also serves wonderful food. I was allowed to spend three weeks there while I waited for a bed to open up at a VA domicilerie. One thing though and KNOW THIS...be honest and on the level with the staff. They have a great deal of experience with people like us and tolerate no BS. I was over two years clean and found myself truly "Homeless". There are really good medical staff to help you as well. I cannot praise these people and this Institution highly enough.
Thanks for letting me know about this place. I read about the Bethesda Mission for years and listened to reports about this place on Radio and TV. I got to see it from inside myself. I met some of the people who live there and some of the people who sorta work there. A lot of positive energy exist in the place. I will revisit there in the future. Thanks for the invite from the Film People who were using the place......
We give all our extra food to the mission there always in need please help if you can.
It's a good place to get the help you need and there's a lot of good stuff to help you if you let them and there's some good medical help there to and denial to and it's all free to the ones that want the help to get better and get back on your feet again.
This is probably the best mission in whole of United States I'm a Graduate and i have to say that no matter what your struggle is you can find help here. But you must be a willing participant
It's a shelter for homeless men always willing to drop off donations
I have stayed at Bethesda Mission for about 6 months now and it absolutely provides a wonderful service for those in need. You get food, a bed, clothes, and the support you need to continue and move on in life. It is a homeless shelter, and as such one should keep in mind that you are sacrificing a lot of freedoms to come here, but if you're willing to do the work, it can change your life.
If you need help, the help. Period. Bless this place.
I don't care for Bethesda mission Bill christhen needs to put his foot down on some of the workers that he be hiring and most of the ones that he hires were in the program or we're homeless once Before. I felt very Uncomfortable when I was there I believe there is a principle treating others no one deserves to be disrespected especially when they came from a terrible situation are battleling drug addiction last time I was at the Bethesda Mission Bill Christian was out on vacation and never return back he should have see what was going on that's unfair to me he needs needs to stop ignoring people's complaints and do his job and stop giving these former clients a job yeah they need to hire more professional people I'd rather sleep on a park bench then and then be in Bethesda mission .
The staff showed very little concern for people needing their HELP
It's clean and the food is good but you can only stay 20 days and they're very heavy handed about religion
I have eaten here when I lost my wallet. It is the best in harrisburgh and the staff are very nice.
The staff is very anti- spiritual and has agendas other than faith

Love the guys at the shelter. Staff low key and kind and caring but firm. I'm appreciative of the receipts I got. We took many clothes and dishes for the men's, womens, and childrens shelters and I was so happy they could use them. Bless the workers and the dear men needing the shelter.

This place does so much to help the community and has been doing so for many years. Great group of workers there who go above and beyond to help folks in need.
I loved being there. Everyone is so nice and helpful. I believe the group eating had a wonderful and blessed meal.

My experience there was great lots of help and spiritual food.
If they don t like you. They will make up stories and ban you. Also don t even think for a second that the owner(bill Christian) will even listen to anything you have to say. Horrible horrible people who look nice on the outside but when you find out the truth you will have no one to talk to about it. No one cares if they do this. They definitely don t care they re getting paid.
Had to be at work at an early hour. Since weare not allowed to use cellphones inside, I signed up for early wake up call at 4:30 am. Woke up to lights being turned on at 6 am.
Our family enjoys volunteering here at least once a month, Bethasda runs an excellent program!!!!
Your stuff will get stolen, and nobody will do anything about it. The Staff is rude, ignorant and condesending, and they like to shove their beliefs down your throat. You would be better off sleeping under a bridge or on a park bench then come here for help. Avoid at all costs.

The Bethesda Mission saved my life. The staff there are very helpful and loving people. I give all praise to God for allowing me to go there to get my life in order.
Do not go here if you want your cell phones and valuables taken away also they steal your stuff there rules suck and have bad staff with attitude problems needs new people all together and fire the ones thats there
That place has grown a lot since I came to Harrisburg I moved here 46 years ago what's my uncle and I place was okay but now they have made a big Improvement in it what's the federal building coming across the street from it
This place has a positive outlook on life. Of you are in need of shelter and willing to be accountable. They offer different levels of support. Of your in need of a hot meal. There is meal time daily. God bless the mission.
