Really nice place. Tickets and concessions are cheap (as compared to other larger movie theaters), and it s incredibly nice to watch a movie through a real proscenium, with subdued wall lighting instead of glaring overhead fluorescents or something. Unfortunately the seats are not staggered so best of luck if you happen to end up behind someone even reasonably tall.
The renovations are great and the new seats are comfortable.
Nice....concession too EXPENSIVE 5.00 FOR 12 oz.of soda RIDICULOUS
The best experience of current independent cinema & retrospective programming in Nashville.
Their seating capacity and their scheduling could be greatly improved, especially when they pick up really popular films.
First-rate art house and independent cinema, showing foreign, indie, and the occasional mainstream film. Features a full bar, and locally-made snacks.
Great staff, great show, intimate. Loved it! Would go again.
My favorite movie theater in Nashville. Also they serve Yazoo Sly Rye Porter, so win win.
Took my son to see Jack and the bean stalk.feel like i faildmed him as a parent bcuz i enjoyed it more then he did. Come to find out he had no clue who jack and tge bean stalk was but id most definitely take him back
First visit since renovations. Wow! Looking forward to going back.
One of the best cinematic experiences in my life was right here watching a movie on 35mm! Like it never went away, something's just speak to the heart
They have such a wonderful movie selection that you can't see anywhere else. Staff is always helpful and kind. The only downside is the seats don't have neck support and can be a bit uncomfortable.
Very nice space and very well done. Interesting discussion as well. Tickets are fairly priced but the theater itself isn't very spacious.
A great place to watch movies new and old. Support these types of places!!!
Found this gem while we were visiting for a couple of days. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, delicious popcorn, and pretty fair prices. Also, parking is included!
By far and away my favorite movie theater anywhere and maybe my favorite thing about nashville.
Wow this theater is cool! I didn't know that it had been remodeled but seeing a movie here was fun! The viewing rooms are small so get there early to get a good seat.
Nice place to catch a movie. Screening room is like watching at home with friends.
Quite unique movie selection. This is more of a community theatre and you can feel the difference when compared to mainstream theatres.
Great little theater and apparently it's a non profit which is awesome. Showing lots of indies and movies from the festival circuit. The usual concessions plus some healthier food options and beer, wine, and tea. Saw a movie in the screening room upstairs which was a great size
Every community should have something like this. A beautiful space, friendly staff and always a thought-provoking selection of movies, new and old to enjoy
Went to Echo Canyon. Great film for Boomers. Music and personalities. There is no mistaking Bob Dylan's son, Jacob, who is the narrator and interviewer.
Historic theater recently went under great renovation. Shows a lot of indieflix and documentaries. Pro tip just park in their lot and when you buy a ticket they will give you a parking pass to go put on your dash. Don't pay to park in another lot nearby. Tickets are only like $10 too which is great. Even their snacks are reasonable compared to mainstream theaters. Always a classy date.
Great theatre, cozy atmosphere but a true cinema experience couldn t ask for more.
Very nice theater for Independent film. Free parking.
Belcourt is a Nashville Treasure. Bought my Membership after a gift subscription expired. I LuV the Belcourt. The snack bar has great Draft & bottled selections & wine & healthy snack beside the standard movie fare I highly recommend it.
Saw Patterson here. Third Man had poets reading. A great little non-profit theater that shows a lot of independent and small release film. Great experience.
Always something thought-provoking and/or that you wouldn't see someplace else. Love going. Ask to have your parking validated when you buy your ticket. I particularly like Music Mondays.
A treasure of Nashville in Hillsboro Village. Check their website for films. Love it.
Great theater with a fantastic variety of movies. Staff is very friendly. Only downside is parking. They do voucher the parking in the connecting lot. It was full when we went Although I'm sure if I could go more often I would know where to park.
An exceptional theater, great staff, clean. And of course the only way you'd be able to see great foreign films in Nashville! Their activities for the community, especially in schools, are what makes them a vital part of Nashville.
The renovation looks amazing and the classic style seating brings you back to your childhood. The movie selection is awesome and the staff are both friendly and helpful, reminded me to get a parking pass for my car when I forgot to. Thank you!
It's okay. The worst part is feel like you're going to get stabbed. but otherwise you can get popcorn and see a movie!
You can't see these movies (films for the erudite) elsewhere and the remodel gives first class screens, projectors, and accommodations. Great concessions with real butter popcorn, wine, and beer.
Fabulous facilities. Great beer selection. Love Rocky Horror here.
My favorite place to go...too see movies that are "me". They have the best popcorn.
Renovations are beautiful! Great movie offerings, wonderful selections for concession stand. Thank you for offering this experience in Nashville.
This was our first time visiting Belcourt Theatre and it was a great experience! The staff was friendly, fast, and the entire venue (especially the bathrooms) were neat and tidy. We will definitely drive the hour to visit again!
Historic, independent theatre with great films. Get a membership!
Friendly staff, great atmosphere, and great movies. I recommend you experience it for yourself.
First time at a theater like this. I liked it. Everyone was very friendly. Screening room was small, but great picture and sound.
Nice theatre. They pay for parking if you purchase a ticket from them. I think that's great
The Belcourt first opened in 1925 and in 2016 it was beautifully restored. They screen indie, popular, cult, and classic movies. Parking is a little limited; however, if you buy your tickets online ahead of time, you'll get a parking pass you can print out before you go. I recommend arriving extra early so you can get a good parking spot. There are plenty of nice coffee shops nearby in case you need to kill time before the show. The theatre also offers a higher-end snack bar.
Friendly customer service, always clean. Very unique and quirky films. A vintage but also modern feel. Also great cocktails :-)
I haven t been here after they remodeled. It looks great. Very comfortable. Gonna take my family next time. I was by myself before
Phenomenal theater, the only one of it's kind that I've seen. There are two different types of theaters, one is a larger, old fashioned feeling theater downstairs (basically a flat floor instead of angled up like most theaters, and a large screen easily seen from all seats), and another smaller theater designed with space in mind. The seats are very roomy, they are all close to a smaller screen (IMO, using this type of projector and proximity to the screen makes the picture quality much better). They show many of the movies that are shown normally in theaters, but their main attraction is their choice to show more artful and indie movies (lots from film festivals), which most of the time will not make it to Regal or AMC for very long. The ticket prices are good, a fair $9 for most movies, especially for the area of Nashville that it's in. Overall, great seating, great movies, great prices, what more can you ask for?
Their 2016 remodel has given the place a great modern atmosphere while enhancing the Belcourt vibe. The concessions offer enjoyable choices for food, soft drinks, along with wine and cocktails. The Belcourt is a treasure for all.
Since I've never been to the remodeled building, it was hard to see where to "step" once you're inside the dark theatre. It took me about 1.5 minutes to adjust to the dark. A slither of light would be great! Otherwise, I enjoyed the rest of my stay.
Really enjoy the small theater experience. Good place to catch a good indie film!
Nicely redone, but still kept that old feeling. Only downside is the staff could be nicer.
Few things in Nashville give me the warm and fuzziest like this place. Best popcorn, best movies, cold beer. GET SOME!
On of my favorite theatres. Relaxing seating, 4k screens available
Very cool place to see some interesting films. Has a good community feel and is clean and organized.
Quaint theatre that shows indie and foreign films. If we lived in Nashville, we'd definitely visit pretty often. Also close to restaurants so the sooner and a movie date works perfectly here.
People behave themselves because they're serious about movies.
A great theater for showcasing new films! An intimate setting. My first time to visit the Belcourt, I will visit again!
Stopping to get line #'s for Rifftrax tonight. Parking of any kind is hard to find this afternoon. Prepare for a little walk from another area.
A gem of Nashville. My family and I will continue enjoy Belcourt Theatre and support their great efforts
Fun theater that provides a great viewing experience with a great concession booth.
Cool old school theater with great line up of indy films
Love the venue and the selection of movies. Great place for lovers of cinema.
Great venue. Parking available but not always easy to find a spot.
The confessions were extremely pricey but the movie was good the fact that they served alcohol was a plus
The popcorn is great..they sell beer and cocktails... but the real reason to love this place is because it has the best heart in Nashville
I've lived in Nashville my entire and just took my first trip to the Belcourt tonight... I've been missing out for so long! The building and the new lobby are absolutely stunning. The staff were friendly and professional and I can't wait to go back!
